Oh~<3 i love these soo much.
They're the cutest series ever<3

Cherry Who? 08-07-2008 08:43 PM

Deranged - (you might want to white that out....) THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING.
Highlight:

Like, during the wedding, and then later on in the book she mentions how vampires can't cry. So they can't produce bodily fluids. SO HOW IS THERE VAMPY SEMEN? HMM? WHAT'S GOING ON THERE.

On a much less spoilery note...
I've... found myself reading Twilight for the third time. XD
I'm skipping over some of the more boring parts (gym class with Mike: yawn. Chatting with Charlie: snore. Class with Angela: boring. Talking to Edward: Very interesting. So basically everything that doesn't involve Edward or Jacob in some way. I remember the story well enough to not need to read the other parts)
But none the less... XD
This is pathetic. XD This is the third time in two months!

Stormy1 08-07-2008 08:56 PM

XD it could be worse Cherry, you could be like me and read New Moon back to back. I finished it, went for another book to realize that I forget so I began re-reading.

Dude, I've totally done that xD

Cherry Who? 08-07-2008 09:12 PM

I nearly did that with Eclipse.
I read it, didn't remember much, and I was going to just reread it, but instead I decided to just reread the whole series.
Breaking Dawn is going to be a bitch to reread when I inevitably do that....

Fabby 08-07-2008 09:29 PM

Fabby finished!

I need to tear myself away from this series now. It never fails to make me depressed.

Seiki Nova 08-07-2008 09:30 PM

Why is it going to be hard to reread Breaking Dawn Cherry?

Cherry Who? 08-07-2008 09:34 PM

Fabby - Aww. D: *hugs* Cheer upppp~

Seiki - Because it's so long. >.< And it just sort of... drags on a bit. I didn't read it in 12 hours like you, remember? XD Took me about three days. And it takes me longer when I'm rereading, since I'm not so drawn to it since it's not new.

Fabby 08-07-2008 09:48 PM

But... but... -sobs uncontrollably-
I'm not even sure WHY it makes me sad. It's pretty much a happy story.

And the last few pages (even though they were predictable) made me go AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. <3

xdark_secretsx 08-07-2008 10:13 PM

I finally finished Breaking Dawn yesterday. :D I got it on Monday because I was away for a vacation and started Monday night. :)

Fabby 08-07-2008 10:17 PM

@Seiki-- (Late post, I know, and a spoiler at that) I want to see more from Renesmee's POV! She was just the sweetest little thing. I'd be willing to buy those. <3

I mean, seriously. It would be a better point of view than Edward's. I have Edward down without even needing Midnight Sun >> And how can you not love the idea of her telling us her story. It would be really really cool.

Yeah. But the part with Charlie and Sue was sort of a "wtf" thing for me. I mean Harry hasn't been dead for that long.... It just seemed weird to me for Sue to be moving on after a long marriage so quickly.

NoStarDies 08-08-2008 04:23 AM

I absolutely LOVE this series.
I just finished reading Breaking Dawn (2 days non stop reading).
It was for sure a great way to end the series(for now?)

Petrakan 08-08-2008 07:31 AM

SPOILER!! ---> Stephenie Meyer is VERY predictable, but it is sort-of comforting to know what is coming, (unlike in anything else in life) but frustrating because Bella never figures it out! I actually liked Bella a little more when she became a Vampire... mind you, I still don't really like her, but at least she has some redeeming qualities: she can fend for herself, she is not as breakable, and I love her descriptions of her newly acquired senses (minus the shield thing... it's corny). Alice is still my favorite. I never had even the faintest glimmer of a doubt that she was totally loyal to the end. Go Carlisle! Stefan and Vladimir rock my socks! I like little Nesse (Bella is too stubborn) a lot. She is cute, precocious, and strong-willed. She understands quickly, learns fast, adapts, and loves everyone. She is not easily distracted from her long-term goals, and is not blinded by her emotions. The antithesis of Bella... wonderful! <---

Fabby 08-08-2008 07:23 PM

Petra, you might want to white some of that out. >_>;;

Anyway... @Cherry- REBOUND FTW. xD It's nice that Charlie found someone though. He's got to be lonely and freaked out. I mean, his daughter just became a vampire and had a child in the course of a month. Besides, it's been about a year, hasn't it?

Cherry Who? 08-08-2008 09:26 PM

Uhh, yeah, Petra, white that out ASAP. o_o

But in response:
I didn't doubt that Alice would come back, either. I knew she was doing something, and I knew it was probably a secret because of Aro. I did wonder a little, but I never truly doubted that she'd be back.

Fabby - Haha, yeah, I guess it is a rebound. XD
Oh my god, that reminds me of this... show I was watching once. Uhhhh, I just remember that it was a documentary or something. Anyway, this guy's wife died, right? THREE MONTHS LATER HE WAS MARRIED. O_O
I... I wanted to punch him. I mean, even if his wife wanted him to move on... You should START DATING three months later, NOT GET MARRIED.
ASDFGJKF
Uhh, that was off topic. Anyway. Yeah, it is nice that Charlie finally found someone. I mean, Bella mentioned in Twilight that she didn't think he ever really got over Renee, right? So it's very nice that he's moved on.
I just think Sue was a little hasty. o_o

Fabby 08-08-2008 11:13 PM

@Cherry-- Yeah, it was pretty obvious that Alice just didn't want Aro to know something. It kind of gave it away after she left a clue for Bella and no one else. >_>;;

Wait... MARRIED three months later!? That's not really acceptable even if your wife didn't just die. I mean, that's only three months that they'd known each other! I've dated most of my asshole boyfriends longer than that! xD
Ehh. I think she waited a reasonable amount of time, and there's no reason to dwell over the dead.

Cherry Who? 08-09-2008 12:10 AM

Mm, maybe I'm just the type to wait longer after something that long and significant ends. *shrug*
Everyone deals with it differently.
Could have been worse. Could have been three months later like that one guy. XD

22Tsuji22 08-09-2008 03:12 AM

Yay! I found my book!! Now I need to read instead of watching The O.C. or The Tudors...which is a very dirty show x.x

Seiki Nova 08-09-2008 08:56 PM

Petrakan, you have a message waiting from me.

Fabby + Cherry, I don't think it's so much of a problem that they got together after Harry passed. I mean, it's kind of expected in a way because they were best friends, so clearly Sue and Charlie were friends with each other. I just think that it was Sue's way of helping Charlie to keep from being alone, and then it just kind of blossomed naturally. And it's not like they were married or anything. It was just dating at that point so it's not like she's heartless, and Charlie has been alone for a long time. Plus, Charlie can be informed fully now that he's with Sue, because she knows about her kids and Jake already phased in front of him. So what the werewolves know, he'll be allowed to know.

And what the heck at the werewolves being "shape-shifters"? That doesn't sound fun.

Tsuji, congrats on finding your book xD

In all honesty, I haven't read the twilight series. But from what i hear it's not all that great, But to each their own.. honestly. So, Since this is a twilight thread I ask! Is the book good or not? what is it basicly?

-Amanda 08-10-2008 12:50 AM

I only liked Twilight. New Moon was alright, too, but it was too boring in most of the book. I haven't read the others, because they seem not appropriate for my age. :/. They just get boring, too.

Petrakan 08-10-2008 02:10 AM

Twilight was very good.
New Moon was not that great.
Eclipse was pretty good.
Breaking Dawn was the best.

That's my opinion, anyway.

It's one of those things that you either love immensely or hate immensely.
I'd suggest reading the first book and seeing where you stand.
Basically, it's about a girl who moves in with her dad, meets a weird guy who shifts between acting like he hates her and being friendly, they end up falling in love, she finds out he's a vampire, and then various danger ensues due to her hanging with vampires.

Basically, it sounds kind of dumb. I refused to read it for a long time. And the first few chapters of it are kind of lame. But once you get into it, you may find you really like it.
