I don't feel like making a list. But if I did, Jacob would totally be at the top. 8D

Mine too.

MurasakiCrown 01-15-2009 03:28 AM

I don't have a solid list. All I know is that Alice is at the top, and Bella is not.

Roachi 01-15-2009 03:35 AM

Lol why is everyone hating on Bella?

Fabby 01-15-2009 07:12 AM

We haven't forgiven her for the golden smoldering ocher topaz liquid gold eyes yet. Or at least, I haven't.

Edward is kind of... a stalker. If my boyfriend were watching me while I slept, I would be quite turned off. That's disturbing.

The multitude of Mayor Clones in the thread is confusing me. xD

MurasakiCrown 01-15-2009 07:16 AM

She's a Mary Sue!

At least Melanie and Wanderer (from the Host) had better personalities and more realistic situation.

Meyer is capable of creating believable characters, but Bella isn't one of them, and she is annoying in the way all Mary Sues are.

Fabby 01-15-2009 07:17 AM

Has anyone else noticed how she's only clumsy when it's convenient? O_o;;

LOL, i haven't read the whole series yet. So i'm a little confused? xD

Fabby 01-15-2009 02:15 PM

You don't need to read the whole series to be smacked in the face with Bella's annoying constant description of Edward. XD

Yep, I've pointed that out before. It's not an honest fault of hers. She never did something actually awkward like manage to trip while she was kissing Edward (fainting doesn't count) or... really trip EVER. She tripped a few times, and one of the times it was because she was scared and nervous (New Moon, running from Laurent), but that was a situation where I think ANYONE would have tripped a few times because they'd just be scared out of their mind, and it's hard not to trip in an environment like that anyway.

As for Edward watching Bella while she sleeps... If the person went to bed with the person watching them there and in bed with them and that person just stayed up a bit to watch them, that's not creepy because people do that all the time. Hell, there's even a song about it. "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith.
Sneaking into a room without someone's knowledge and standing there watching them? Yes, creepy as all living hell.
But since Edward couldn't sleep, once Bella willingly and knowingly had him in her room at night, it wouldn't be creepy for him to watch then.

Fabby 01-16-2009 12:06 AM

For someone who is apparently clumsy enough to land themselves in the hospital and have everyone believe it's because she's just a klutz, she doesn't trip very often. :\

Edward doesn't give me the loving "I'm just watching you because you're cute when you sleep and/or I have nothing better to do" vibe. He gives me the freaky overbearing stalker vibe. I wouldn't want anyone watching me sleep all night, even if they can't sleep >_>

Cherry Who? 01-16-2009 12:22 AM

Yeah, that's always bugged me. >> TRIP MOAR, DAMMIT.

True. True. It isn't "Aww, you're beautiful when you sleep" so much as "There's so many ways I could kill you right now.... Shit, you're gorgeous. Damn, I want to kill you." o-o

Fabby 01-16-2009 12:36 AM

See, that would keep me up all night. I'm so glad I'm not dating a vampire.

Did she ever trip when she was running to go save Edward in the end of New Moon? I don't really remember, but that seems like an optimal time to fall down.

Cherry Who? 01-16-2009 12:45 AM

I think she stumbled a little, but it's also a spot where it's to be expected. Nervous, unfamiliar area, big crowd...

Fabby 01-16-2009 12:46 AM

If I were running through a giant crowd in a random European city where there's a coven of dangerous vampires to save someone from killing themselves, I think I'd do more than stumble a little.

Oh is that what your talking about, i was like heh? Did i miss something.

Yeh that does get a bit annoying, i gave my friend Twilight to read and i think she was almost sick with the amount of times Edward was described as being perfect ... i think some of the words were "greek god & angelic" xDDD.

As for the watching her when she sleeps thing. I don't find that creepy lol.
The part where he was watching without her knowledge is creepy lol.

SkullCandy 01-16-2009 01:20 AM

I saw that midnight sun is going to be published this year. I wonder what the cover will be like?
I agree about the Edward thing. Bella can get annoying with that.

Cherry Who? 01-16-2009 01:20 AM

Where did you hear that? I don't think she's even finished with it, and publishing is a long process.

Fabby 01-16-2009 01:34 AM

It might have been projected for this year, before she pretty much vetoed the book. :\

SkullCandy 01-17-2009 02:55 AM

I know but it says that she is going to finish and publish it. MY friend looked it up and its official.

Cherry Who? 01-17-2009 02:57 AM

Link?

Seiki Nova 01-17-2009 07:35 AM

I wouldn't trust anything that doesn't come directly from her site, her publishing company's site, or Summit Entertainment to be valid. Any news on Midnight Sun would definitely have been posted on her website directly.

Fabby 01-17-2009 10:02 AM

I'm pretty damn sure that if a release date had been publicly announced, it would be on Steph's site first and no such announcement exists. I think she's learned her lesson about leaking information.

Cherry Who? 01-22-2009 03:42 AM

Has anyone read Tuck Everlasting?
It's got the same (though much better written) thing with the guy the girl falls in love with is immortal, and she has to choose between a "normal" life without him and an immortal life with him. Except (spoiler:)
unlike Bella, she chooses to live a mortal life.

Maybe I shouldn't use the word "same," since there's no vampires, a vastly different time period, and Jesse isn't a fucking creeper. XDD

fiarra 01-22-2009 04:34 AM

;_; I loved Tuck Everlasting...
