a lot of fanfic writing i have seen had contained five seconds of story before they had gotten down to the 'juicy stuff'. I'm sure there are some talented fan fiction writers out there... But I haven't seen a lot.
|
Er, considering the fanbase for Twilight, I'd say that you'll have to sift through a lot of stuff before you can find anything good.
|
You have a very good point there....
I'm pretty sure there are already 300 fan fictions out there about twilight... I want to see one where Edward and/or Bella dies.... I believe that is the names i want... |
Oh, I'm nearly dead-certain that there's a story out there where Bella dies and Edward falls in love with Jacob. That's just the fucked-up shit that fanfic writers come up with. xD;
Nothing is sacred, as far as fanfiction is concerned. Rule 34 very much applies. |
Werewolf x Vampire...
errhh... Ya know what, Why not a human and Zombie Romance? "I love you Steven!" "Hunnnnr....rhhea..... BRAINS...." |
I'm writing that now. A zombie/human romance. Heh.
Edward/Jacob? ...Why...? DDD: I've actually read some great fanfiction, but not for Twilight. It takes a lot of sifting to find something with decent grammar who can stay in character. |
Hmmm.... is there a heavy makeout scene where the zombie's tongue falls into the lady's mouth?
lol... 'BECAUSE THEY CAN' I don't think i could really... i prefer original story, i can make a pretty awesome story if i put my mind to it^^ |
I prefer originals, too. And I just don't feel like sifting through the load of shit fanfiction that comes with ANY fandom. Even if it's not that bad, it probably won't capture the essence of the original. Some character somewhere will do something out of character and continue it and it'll wreck it.
|
there was one really interesting one i read... it was in the form of a webcomic though...
it was a fanfic of Billy and Mandy... and it was based on the future... and it kept things interesting but.... there were some fetish elements and a lack of imagination with names... That kind of kicked the comic in the shins... Although it had a good storyline outside of the blemishes. |
>.> I'm with Kita with the "why with the fanfic bashing". I was involved in the HP fandom for a long time and there was so honestly amazing fanfiction that resulted. The same is true with any fandom and despite the overwhelming amount of press that the crazy fangirls get, there is always a corner of any fandom that is producing something not crack-induced.
Battlefield: Are you talking about Grim Tales from Down Below by Bleedman? Because that is an awesome webcomic. He did an awesome Powerpuff Girls crossover one too. |
Exactly, Fiarra. There are some great HP fanfics, which is what I'm usually thinking of when I get defensive, along with the Tales of Symphonia fandom, which I'm part of. And I write very well, thank you very much. XD
I've seen some wonderful Inuyasha fanfiction too, when I was involved in that fandom and I received some really flattering compliments on my stuff there. >_>; The problem with Twilight fanfiction probably...I mean, it'd help if I'd read any of it, but anyway, the problem with it probably is that with any fanfiction, you need a good original plot to build off of, I think. And in Twilight, what do you have? Edward + Bella = perfect ending. What is there to write about? |
I'm just now starting book 3 and love these so far.
|
Fia - I don't think all fanfiction is destined to be horrible. Some people out there can actually do it. But you have to find it.
|
Yeah, grim tales was pretty awesome. Although the children's names could have been a bit more inventive, it was very good.
And meh... I haven't read the powerpuff girls one... When i saw it... I had thought it wasn't going to be that amazing... i might read it up though^^ |
I don't know about anyone else, but I could not put any of the books down. Meyers is breath of fresh air. There is no one to compare her to because she has her own style. She has very quickly become my all time favorite author. And I absolutely love the movie. I saw it with my best friend and she loved it. She's not really into vampires, but she wanted to go back the next night to see it again. I could watch it everyday. Edward Cullen is so hot. I liked him in Harry Potter, but he looks so much better in Twilight. The host was an awesome book also. I can honestly say that I have never read a book like that before. It was very creative. The way Meyers writes you could almost believe that she had actually lived the story. Wicked.

I saw some twilight posters in Walmart today. The Edward poster was that picture where he's making that scary creeper face, and the Edward/Bella poster was just like the one on the official movie poster thingy. They had a Jakey poster, but the wig just looks so dumb on him. xD If they have a Jakey poster after they make New Moon, where he'll have short hair, I'll get that.
Or if they have an Edward poster that isn't ugly. >> It's hard to make RPattz ugly, but so many photographers trying to make him look "menacing" or whatever did a good job at it. >> |
My sister has both of those on her wall.
I don't know how she finds him attractive in that zombie makeup. Really, he looks absolutely terrible in the official photo shoot. |
Who would want a large dead man head on their wall...?
Well... not really an actual severed head hanging off the wall... I don't think i'd want edward Cullen's severed head on my wall... *shivers* Even a picture seems kind of awkward... I believe Edward Cullen is encouragement to 'love the dead' |
Twilight
I think this book is just awesome. Eventhough I just started it. I can't wait to move on to the second book! SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!;)
|
fancy heavenly-angel, I've merged your Twilight thread with our already existing thread on this subject.
Since we only allow one thread per topic in our forums, always remember to read through the forum before making a new post. |
My friend Melissa actually just bought that Jacob poster haha.
|
But he looks funny. :c
|
Your friend is not my friend then XD
|
Well I just started reading Twilight and am on the first book
its ok, not my thing but I'll read them before I see the movie |
Flower:: Well, I wouldn't want to stick Edward on my wall, but I would totally put a poster of Lestat on my wall. XD
Or Jean-Claude. Or Asher. Or Jean-Claude and Asher in the same poster...  These are vampires from two completely unrelated books, in case you don't know. xD Well, not Jean-Claude and Asher. They're from the same series. |
