killer-chan 04-07-2009 10:00 AM

futurama anyone?

i like futurama its awesome but i saw the last movie of it and i was like "NNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!" Dx

what are your thoughts?

Guivre 04-07-2009 06:01 PM

I liked this show, but the last season it was like a star trek spoof every week, with star trek people as guest voices. -.- That gets old fast, especially if you don't like star trek. I especially dislike guest stars on shows, and they had one every eppy, but it wasn't so bad creatively until the last season.

Malia_Maria 04-07-2009 10:12 PM

last movie was into the wild green wonder right?

I liked it=3

Hi killer-chan,

We actually already have a thread for discussing Futurama, so I've merged them together and you can continue your discussion in this thread.

You are welcome to pm me if you have any questions.

I used to watch it all the time. It was really funny. I love Amy and Kip. I think my favorite episode was the episode where Zap, Fry and Bender end up on a planet full of giant sex-starved Amazon-women, who are ruled by a super computer voiced by Bea Arthur. It's amazing.

Claudia 04-13-2009 05:08 AM

This is a good cartoon. I just got sick of watching re-runs.

Keary Lumiere 04-14-2009 04:46 PM

Yeah I practically know the entire series by heart XD I've watched them over and over all the time. The first movie was great but the other two disappointed me a bit.

Spiffee 04-15-2009 02:44 AM

I love Futurama! :D
It's definitely one of my favorite shows. I just recently bought the first season on DVD, and I plan to get the rest.

All hail HYPNOTOAD! XD

Joico 04-16-2009 03:58 PM

I enjoy it. When I got home on weekends I watch it at my parents house. (I only have one channel and they have a satellite dish)

ellaangelus 04-16-2009 05:05 PM

there was a time when it was on TV in romania

Futurama

Okay well I was watching my box set last night and I started watching the epsiode called Jarrasic Bark
Have any of you guys seen it? hopefully you have and you get what I'm saying hahaha
It's the epsode where Fry finds out that they have dug up Pannuci's Pizza (the pizzarea he worked at before he got frozen) and they have his old dog Seymor there that got fast fossilised! well anyway he goes to clone him but changes his mind when he finds out Seymor was 15 when he died but yeah.
well there I am watching the ep and suddenly it hits me...this is like the only epsidoe of pretty much anything that has mad me cry! Like full on, snot running out my nose crying!
Okay now I must say i can hear my brother watching the ep right now and I can feel a tear coming on just thinking about it!
If you have not seen it go youube it or something! It's a defenate tear jerker!

Hermes 05-04-2010 01:47 AM

Ohhhh, Futurama. I love Futurama. xD It's one of those shows I always knew had something going for it other than being funny, but I could never really pick out what.

I totally know that episode though, and I know exactly what you mean. It didn't make me cry or anything, but it was surprisingly emotional. I actually felt really bad at the end.
Have you seen the episode where Fry finds out his older brother stole his identity after Fry was frozen, then he finds out his brother actually named his son after Fry? The end just makes me want to cry. It was worse than the dog episode, for me at least.

Byakuyakuchki 05-04-2010 10:40 PM

I did cry watching that episode. Walking on Sunshine is a great song. It really shows the bond between Fry and his dog. It is the best episode they ever made.

Captain Howdy 05-04-2010 11:21 PM

I've merged your thread, sweet_serender159, with our preexisting Futurama discussion thread. :)

sailor star rainbow 05-05-2010 06:19 AM

I love Futurerama it all ways made me laugh my butt off. I can't wait to see the new episodes I pray they are funny and that I don't miss any. Bender is such a funny robot,he is all ways getting in to some type of mischief.

sweet_serender159 05-05-2010 10:45 AM

@Hermes - Yes I love that ep as well! any ep that has a good story from when Fry was in the past is a fav in my books :-)

@Byakuyakuchki - Yes I agree! Walking on Sunshine kicks ass!!! hahaha its sooo sad like at the end when they have the montage and they ae laying that 1000 summers song! I cry everytime!

@Captain Howdy - Thnks man! hahaha I didnt know there aleady was one hahaha sorry

Hermes 05-06-2010 04:59 AM

I've been watching more TV lately, so I am actually getting a chance to watch Futurama once in a while.

Can anyone explain to me what this all is about movies? Are they just making multiple Futurama movies instead of new episodes or something?

sweet_serender159 05-06-2010 05:42 AM

No I think they wanted to make a few but ended up being able to make 4 instead.
So than they made the movies but managed to intertwine the stories. they are sort of like really long episodes yeah but still movies. I prefer the movies myself because they can et bigger story lines out in an hour and a half instead of half an hour, like Bender's Big Score for example. You wouldn't be able to do a huge Timetravel episode like that in half an hour

Hermes 05-07-2010 02:56 AM

I haven't actually seen any of the movies yet, which saddens me. I think I might have to soon though. I might download them. I have to see them, mostly because I mean, come on. Futurama.
But also partly I love convoluted time travel plots. xD

sweet_serender159 05-07-2010 06:07 AM

hahaha Yeah the time travel one (Bender's big scroe) is great! haha It's so funny! and you dont realise who one of the characters is until the end! its amazing how they covered it up!
you should definatly see them! they are totally worth watching!

Hermes 05-08-2010 04:20 AM

It's comforting to hear that the movies are as good as the episodes. I was always afraid that whatever came after Futurama would be a let down. Are all the movies as good?

sweet_serender159 05-08-2010 07:16 AM

Yeah I ahev them all at home they are wicked as!
and one of them is a dedication to the guy who created Dungeons and Dragons, Gary Gygax. It's so nice!

Hermes 05-09-2010 07:15 AM

Gah, I love Dungeons and Dragons. >< I feel more and more deprived the more we talk about these movies.

sweet_serender159 05-09-2010 08:22 AM

LOL well you must see it! hahahaha Or else I shall send a horde of angry piranahs to your house to eat your undies
