I see that. I like those pants.. their male only though. The skirt is cool too though!

Ya I agree.. No reason to uncert the first stage.

Jynk 10-12-2007 06:12 PM

I like these pants, too. I love water-themed things. I'm hoping that opening a B/C shop or two here will help with raising gold to afford nice things like more clothes and the contribution items. ^__^

Sorry guys, I've been busy quoting bad posts. XP

and posting in that thread on Gaia. LOL Things sure have settled down since I started posting. LOLz

Someone needed to.

@Mags: I like having the uncerted versions to use in my journals and to keep for myself. I use them to make backgrounds for my computer and stuff too. Having the large image is great IMO, but I don't really need it for my bottle or anything.

Also, if you're going to put so much work into a large image, I don't see why you wouldn't want to allow people to have them. They're entering a contract with you and paying quite a bit of money for the pets, so I feel like it's their right to have the large image of them. 50k is pretty expensive for a B&C pet. I think I've only seen one other store that charged that much, but it's closed down now.

But that's besides the point. Creating pets for B&C is more or less the same as commissioning artwork. EXCEPT if the pet owner doesn't fulfill their 'contract' with you by following the shop rules and/or RPing or whatever you decide to do, you CAN take their pet away from them. That's your choice as a shop owner.

But if you flee and don't finish the art you said you'd finish and take the money, you can be held liable for that as well. There's been some drama in B&C about that as well in the past, and all the B&C mods are very wary of artists running off on their shops and not finishing what they said they would.

But I doubt there'll be much art theft with pets. I've seen it maybe once or twice in B&C before, but it is highly frowned upon and I believe it is in the rules as well. Those people who do steal will be punished and perhaps even banned. You should check the B&C rules for that.

I hope that was clear... *sweatdrop*

and BTW, I will ask for large images of the other two stages. XP I still need to set up a journal, but I haven't had time. T_T

ALSO, your style is VERY unique and easy to spot. If someone stole something of yours, I'll bet it'd be found out very quickly.

Admonish Misconstruction 10-12-2007 06:29 PM

Eroy: For you it must be. Hopefully you will get some more mods.

Goodness, I have so much school to do. Probably going to be on and off today xD.

Ya. Hopefully it won't be bad after this weekend. :D
We'll see what happens.. *hopes things calm down*
Ugg.. school work eh? I hope you manage to get it done quickly & easily :D

Jynk 10-12-2007 06:37 PM

Eroy>> I'm already coloring up one of each pet type I have for my Beat shop. Siz can probably tell you what those are like. ^__^ I'm just making them 2-stage pets for now (since there's items for the first two stages...working on getting the rest) instead of the 5-stage that they are on Gaia (though, as the items come, I'll add more stages here). I'm actually kind of excited to see how they do here.

Eroy 10-12-2007 06:40 PM

Do you have a thread in the B&C yet?

Jynk 10-12-2007 06:45 PM

No. I like being prepared with actual pets to sell before opening a shop. I have some samples of the pets (my two personal ones) to show for examples and silohettes of stages. I just really don't believe in opening a shop unless it's all ready to go (with exception to one shop of mine on Gaia, but the colorist's laptop blew up and she's working on getting it repaired/replaced).

ladyumbra 10-12-2007 06:51 PM

*Sucking on a finger* god damnit trapping your finger in doll joints hurts.

Jynk I looked up the beat shop on gaia. I want that Halloween one ^-^

Jynk 10-12-2007 06:53 PM

Them dolls out to get ya, eh, Umbra? ^__~

I don't know that I'll have time to make a Halloween Beat for here, but I'm sure gonna try. As for the one on Gaia.. too much Japanese horror and that's what happens. Did you see the only other Halloween one? He's all pumpkin-y.

eroy - yeah i thought it was weird too haha
you can't really do much with a container that has a seed in it.

thanks for the helpful advice jynk. i am very new to this b/c thing, before now i have never really even browsed the forum.

siz - i know there are rules in place, but i have had 3 art theft incidents that i know about in the r&c so i figured it was easier to do in the b/c where no one knows who i am and the shop is relatively un-noticed.
would it be fair just to offer the uncerted image for the last stage and not the other 2? i know what a lot of people do when they edit pets is that they change the color info in photoshop, changing the hue and stuff. i color everything manually and removing all the right layers to be sure i get the pet alone colored the same way would be hard to do. in the time i do that i could be making a new pet. for the teapot it's impossible, i tried haha. it has 12 layers in place for it to mesh into the bkg. do you think it would be fair to just give them 2 sizes of the same cert in the first 2 stages? like a sig size and a larger one? that's doable for me.

for me to get everything done alone that's the best i think i can do. i don't want to be unfair to people either. :\

Majhra 10-12-2007 07:08 PM

::flops on floor::

I dont know how you mods do this! This is insane! I was over at the Discussion Forum sooo much spam! The horror! Ack! Id hate your job ^^ Crazy noobs! I got so caught up in it I started searching for nOObs to report. ::gasps for air::

ladyumbra 10-12-2007 07:09 PM

The bugger kicked me in the head the first day he arrived. 60 cm bastards are pains when they get kicky, much more than the 45cm ones. Still i love him. Most importantly I love him becuase he has no s hook.

I did not see the pumpkin one but I bet he is just as awesome. i have this feeling that much like on gaia all my money here will go into breedables and art commissions.

Eroy 10-12-2007 07:11 PM

Ya it's good to be prepared for sure. I'm excited to see it after it gets set up. You'll have to let us know!

EDIT: WOa that post is totally late. So busy! I think I should get some work done. I'll be in and out.

Jynk 10-12-2007 07:14 PM

My girl doll (just her body.. her head is still at Luts for faceup) is well behaved. She didn't mind at all wearing the boy's shirt (he's not here either for the same reason as her head, so he won't have to know she borrowed his clothes), but she does have issues getting the shirt on. Oddly enough, no problems getting it off her. Guess she likes to be nekkie.

If you're looking at the Beat shop on Gaia, there should be an owners' list with links to the certs. ^__^ I'd also be happy to PM you a link to any of them you might want to have a look at in uncerted version (thems that are online, anyway). I figured a fair way to do the flatsales.. I just made eggs in the colors of each Beat and whatever hatches out is what they get.. since I only did one of each of the five types and I don't want fighting over them.

Better late than never. ^__^ You're doing a good job and an important one, so it's okay.

I'll definately keep people posted on when it's open... and I'll have a link in my signature for it, too.

Edit: Whoops! Sorry for the double-post.

Smerdle 10-12-2007 07:19 PM

And that is the sound of my Mene RPs being replied to. Why am I better about replying here than I am on Gaia? Perhaps it's because I only have two here and about 40,000 there. And because I'm a loser.

Color correcting images time!

Admonish Misconstruction 10-12-2007 07:26 PM

Eroy: Lets hope so.

I'm sorta managing, life is hectic you know? Just so much work to do. Currently though I'm getting ready for hunting next weekend, have to go buy some shells and powder and a few little things. Need to get bird shot, I think shooting a bird (which we are hunting) or the occasional squire with a 68 caliber shell with blow it out of existence xD.

Three? Shitty. :( I can see your hesitation then.

I think your idea of offering the large image for the last stage only, and then providing a sig-sized cert as well as a large cert for the other two stages sounds fine.

I know I like to see the detail in my pets, so I like having those full-sized or at least full-body images. *nods*

But yeah, that sounds good to me. I don't want to see your artwork stolen. :x

@Smerd & lady: I know I haven't replied to RPs in a day or two, but it's been insanity around here. Things will get back to normal and I'll be back to replying sooner than later I hope. I just wanted to get that disclaimer out there. XP

@Jynk: I saw your Halloween Beat..>Well the one on the front page. It's nice! I wish I was more excited about Halloween pets though. I like blue and purple things most. XP I'll probably wait to get one until you open your shop here I think. *nods*

ladyumbra 10-12-2007 07:30 PM

*fights for the Tauric one anyways*

I shall go look at the owners list momentarily and I'll probably wanted uncerted links since the certs make them a bit small from the like 2 i peeked at.

Smerd you go girl replying to your pd's like that.

Jynk 10-12-2007 07:36 PM

Siz>> Amazingly enough, there is a blue/purple one that I did for the first flatsale here. Get out of my brain, plzkthnx. ^__^

Umbra>> Just let me know which you want to see and I'll try and get you a link. ^__^

ladyumbra 10-12-2007 07:53 PM

Hey those wax cats of your look mighty nice.

Can i see bigger versions of pip, lee and grommit?

Sizzla 10-12-2007 07:55 PM

YES! BLUE PURPLE FTW!

I'm so gonna get it. :D

Jynk 10-12-2007 07:55 PM

Let me think.. Pip probably isn't online uncerted.. Lee might be.. and Gromit might be. I'll PM the links.

And yeah, the cats are cool. I was happy to win that lineart. The artist actually is working on a few extra things for me with those.
