I've always been fonder of pirates. Especially after I saw Kiera Knightley in Pirates of the Carribean 2. -drool- She was in drag. xD

But I just love the free spirits of pirates, and a life on the ocean, that always seemed fun. ^^

Ninjas would beat Pirates hands down. Pirates don't normally fight unless they screw up. They are just supposed to make threats and scare smaller ships with their numbers and then steal their stuff. That's what pirating involves. If anybody recalls, once the pirate weren't invincible in Pirates of the Caribean, they all gave up, because they knew they'd get their butts kicked. Ninjas on the other hand are trained warriors who spend their lives learning the art of assasination.

Ninjas rule. The only acception is Skypirates, they pwn (Oh Balthier) XD

FinalBlackMage, your reasoning lacks theory and facts. Pirates LOVED to fight; that was their whole reason of being. They got to fight, blow stuff up, and get monies that way.

Ninjas were actually pretty useless figures in actual historical Japan. All that schizz about them being oh-so-badass is seriously overblown. Honestly. Even a bunch of major lords didn't like them. No honor in killing from the shadows, I say!

Actually, the targets of pretty much every pirate crew were heavily-loaded, lightly armed merchant ships. It wasn't the fighting they loved; 'twas the booty. If they were really looking for a fight, they would have engaged a lot more military ships. I guarantee that few pirates have ever had the *cough* cannonballs to attack, let alone successfully sink or capture, a ship of the Royal Navy. Pirates were nothing more than parasites who had no qualms about robbing and butchering a ship full of innocent traders and sailors if it meant they got some money out of it.

On the subject of ninjas, though many a warlord claimed to dislike them, that didn't stop them from using ninjas from time to time. Claim that they had little-to-no impact on Japanese history all you want, but remember that a ninja's craft is all about deception . . . . and that includes making it look like their victims had died through other causes. So, it's only reasonable to surmise that some important figures in Japanese history that supposedly, hypothetically, died of a heart attack, or by the sword of a disgruntled retainer, may have actually met their end at the hands of a ninja . . . .

I think Pirates are way sexier then Ninja's.. at least attitude wise.. but Ninja's are probably cleaner. XD I guess if I had to pick one, I'm more pirate-like then Ninja-like. I'm lazy, and I like to drink.. and gamble from time to time. XD And am rather evil. e.e

Not to say that ninja-wizards wouldn't be able to give pirates a run for their money on occasion, but otherwise... =P

Wow, lol. This topic is awesome. Me, I'm more for pirates because I think thier costumes are nicer/more decorative. But if it came to a fight duel-to-the-death, the ninja would probably win.
