Aliena 06-26-2007 05:02 AM

Ahh, gracias, my friends! ^_^

I am so tired! Got a lot packed today, which was a good thing. Got so much more to do and I'm running out of days! O_O

I think I'm off to bed for now, though.

Mama Juru 06-26-2007 05:21 AM

Yay! Congrats on the pick of the week! :)

I don't think I have ever eaten Moroccan food. I'll have to check around and see if there are any restaurants in this area. I've eaten Guatemalan food but wasn't real impressed. My favorite is Chinese. I can eat that everyday.

EternalHearts 06-26-2007 02:26 PM

I completely agree about Chinese food! Both American Chinese and real Chinese! Speaking of...I need to get a trip together to go into Chinatown one day soon for Dim Sum :P

roocee 06-26-2007 02:31 PM

Ya'll are making me hungry. Love Chinese food.

Come up to Boston for a visit--you can join me on my "Eating Tour of Boston" that I'm cooking up.

jellysundae 06-26-2007 03:48 PM

There's a Chinese/Thai restaurant near me that does lovely food, i go with my Mum and sister, and we often order a set menu for 2 between the 3 of us, because there's always way too much!
But it's always delicious and beautifully presented, if one course is multiple small dishes, it's served on a big platter, with each dish presented it its own 'bowl' made from a trimmed iceberg lettuce leaf, with shredded carrot, cabbage and peppers laid out inbetween, and a carved carrot in the shape of a fish standing proud in the centre, looks great 8)

EternalHearts 06-26-2007 03:51 PM

That sounds like SUCH a great place Jelly! Now I HAVE to visit you, just to get to eat there.

jellysundae 06-26-2007 04:08 PM

hehe, it's about the only thing worth visiting in this small town sadly..

have you made any escape bid from Justin the Drama Queen?

I'm just going to ignore it and not return to the Hangout until other people have brought up other subjects.

siaasgn 06-26-2007 07:04 PM

:? I feel like I'm missing something here. . but that's OK.

That thai/ chinese place sounds lovely Jelly -

So tomorrow is my first night of class (plus my online class) - the term has barely started and I already want it to be done and over with.

EternalHearts 06-26-2007 07:19 PM

Awww siaa. It'll be over before you know it!

roocee 06-26-2007 08:47 PM

Time certainly does fly!!!

Jessi, a trip to Boston sounds great.

jellysundae 06-26-2007 08:48 PM

Boston's cool for me, it's only 16 miles up the road

siaasgn 06-27-2007 12:50 PM

Good morning Purkles . . ..I don't know about you all but I am NOT looking forward to how hot it's supposed to be today. Supposedly it will get to 95 with the heat index it'll feel like 104 - but what really gets to me is the humidity - I feel almost . .. sticky and wet as soon as I step outside. uggg

Lilim 06-27-2007 12:58 PM

It is coolling down some for me...But lots of Thunderstorms are happening cause it's going for 95 to 78 to 82 >_< That bothers me so much cause thunderstorms can bring other stuff with them here like tornadoes

jellysundae 06-27-2007 01:05 PM

Si you have my sympathy. i can't tolerate humidity at all. It's a horrible part of the British summer, not that we've had a summer so far this year. We had the hottest April on record, then it's done nothing but rain ever since, there's wide spread flooding, dams are on the verge of collapse..it's not good news here right now. It's currently 68 degrees in my living room and i'm feeling vaguely chilly
Tornadoes Lilim  That would really scare me, though having said that..Britain gets the largest amount of tornadoes per year than any other country..or something along those lines..just going by number of incidents compared to landmass size..but of course these are not the monsters that generate over America, and they're usually out in fields and don't do much damage except to crops.

Mama Juru 06-27-2007 02:24 PM

Ugh, I can't deal with humidity either. Granted it gets to be around 112 degrees out here in the summer and sometimes hotter (today it is supposed to be around 105) but it is a dry heat. We complain if the humidity reaches 20%. I can't imagine living in higher humidity.

We don't have tornadoes or anything like that here. We get wildfires because it is so dry.

jellysundae 06-27-2007 02:28 PM

I wonder if there's anywhere on the planet that has the perfect climate and no threat from disasters caused by the weather??

Probably not

Aurora 06-27-2007 03:42 PM

EternalHearts 06-27-2007 05:17 PM
