Hey Jess, good to see you!

Aliena, glad to hear that she didnt' actually choke on the screw--hopefully it was fairly dull and doesn't cause any pain when she passes it.

Mama Juru 07-26-2007 03:46 PM

Good morning purkles!

Cheyenne stuck everything in her mouth. If it fit in it went. Jordan was much different. He is very texture oriented so if it was something squishy or felt weird it would gross him out and he wouldn't put it in his mouth. He's still like that will certain foods.

Good morning/afternoon, all!

Heck, jurupa, I'm still like that at age 30 with squishy/weird feeling things. I never ate anything weird as a baby, although I created a lot of havoc in other ways I've been told. Especially when my baby brother entered the picture! I was a bold fruit back then...

jellysundae 07-26-2007 05:02 PM

I don't know if i ate anything that i shouldn't have. I'm sure i'd have been repeatedly reminded about it by now if i had though!

I saw some programme about colonic irrigation once and they were saying that they flush all sorts of things out that people have eaten as kids..plastic figures, wax crayons, marbles..you name it..

siaasgn 07-26-2007 06:08 PM

I'll never forget the time my brother ate a whole bottle of aspirin - he had to eat charcoal and get his stomach pumped - he managed to open the child proof bottle and ate almost all of them - you would think that he would of thought they tasted bad.

That same brother once managed to put a metal hanger under his eyelid - thank goodness he didn't scratch or poke his eye - still don't know how that happened.

Mama Juru 07-26-2007 06:26 PM

Ewww.... the mental image of that made me cringe.

Aliena 07-26-2007 07:27 PM

Sia - why'd he have to eat charcoal? Does that neutralize the aspiring somehow? And man, I agree with Juru about the mental image! Oy!

Has anyone seen the previews for a movie called Stardust? Claire Danes is a star that crashes to earth - Robert DeNiro's a sky pirate and Michelle Pfeiffer's a witch or something? Looks neat!

siaasgn 07-26-2007 07:41 PM

The charcoal makes him throw up - a lot - and helps get it out of his system.

From what I understand it is . .. very uncomfortable.

jellysundae 07-26-2007 09:08 PM

wow, i can't imagine anyone eating aspirin from choice, anything like that makes me shudder if a speck of it dissolves on my tongue..

magikjaz 07-26-2007 10:00 PM

LMAO at kids eating weird things....just more reasons not to have any ^_^

@ aliena - yes I've seen the promos for awhile now and I can't wait to see it!!!!

I'm hoping we're going to the drive in this weekend. maybe to see hairspray (altho I haven't got high hopes for that...john travolta in drag? ewwwww)

jellysundae 07-26-2007 10:03 PM

He might look good Jaz!
I'm sure the movie will be great though, something that's that much fun to produce just has to be!

I have seen the promos and I don't think so :p~

besides, it's not necessary imho. John Waters had Divine playing edna turnblatt cuz he was , well, DIVINE! There was no one like him/her. He was in everything John Waters practically.

just seems like an unnecessary publicity stunt for the movie imo

but i have heard people who liked it and liked him. I'm just a huge fan of the original MOVIE and haven't seen the musical (altho I heard music from it) and i don't know....i'm just so torn.

I really want to see Stardust, too. I love Claire Danes. She's so beautiful.

Re: John Travolta in drag... I feel quite the opposite. I really want to see that. Besides, can't be nearly as scary as most drag queens I've seen, especially up close and trying to lip sync. Egads. *hugs*

jellysundae 07-26-2007 11:09 PM

i want to see Travolta's performance, simply because he's such a good performer, he plays the crazy guy really well, so a drag queen should be very interesting to see!

magikjaz 07-27-2007 01:01 AM

see, I have issues with john Travolta as a person, being a scientologist and all that, so he just in general annoys me (unless i'm watching Grease ... I love Grease!)

but again, everything is annoying me lately. I've been taking it out on the monsters in Nox battling and killing them all

is it wrong of me to wish my husband had another job already so he wouldn't be underfoot 24 hours a day 7 days a week? I didn't agree to this when we got married.

LOL, no, Jazzy... that's not wrong. But it explains a lot, especially in reference to your mood lately. tee hee And the whole scientology thing bugs me too, but John Travolta doesn't bother me even 1/100th as much as Tom Cruise does. That man is just a looney tune in my opinion.

Aliena 07-27-2007 01:48 AM

*giggles* I get the same way by the end of the summer (my husband works in the school system). I love the guy, but it's nice when he goes back to work (which he did Wednesday).

jellysundae 07-27-2007 02:07 AM

hel yeah.

the til death us do part bit never says anything about being in each other's faces all day long..

you need some time apart so you can miss each other. you get too familiar otherwise. Plus of course there's to lack of ME time 8)

I totally agree with you apricotty on Tom Cruise. He despises me much more than John Travolta does. I really used to like Cruise's acting, movies, etc until his more recent ones came out and all this scientology (sp) crap emerged.

jellysundae 07-27-2007 01:10 PM

Tom Cruise is just odd! He's short and weird looking, i'll concede that he's done some good movies though.

I wonder if the wealth and fame has some sort of effect on people of a certain mindset and makes them more prone to being drawn into weird religions??

Aliena 07-27-2007 03:35 PM

Lauren passed her screw!! Yay!

Jelly - love the new banner. Cute!

Mama Juru 07-27-2007 03:43 PM

I actually read in some gossip rag that Mr Cruise has a sort of little man syndrome and kept throwing out little Katie's high heels. Nicole Kidman had said the same thing in another article I read.

I know that these types of magazines are not always truthful but for some reason I tend to believe that about him. He just strikes me as that sort of man. I've also read that he is with Katie all the time and never lets her out of his sight. I don't know how much of that I believe but little man, yea...

No jaz there is nothing wrong with wanting your husband out of your hair. Everyone needs their own space married or not.

Yay Aliena! I'm glad it came out with no problems :)

siaasgn 07-27-2007 03:53 PM

I saw Hairspray on opening night and i thought it was great. I think it did the original movie justice - and Travolta was pretty good in his role.

I think having my boyfriend home with me all day would make me want to strangle him - I love him and all but we need to have our space. ;)

Oh yeah - and Tom Cruise is just . . .creepy.

magikjaz 07-27-2007 06:47 PM

LOL i totally agree Tom Cruise is creepy

Plus I'm not entirely sure Suri is his ... if you know what I mean ^_^

John travolta bugs me cuz of the scientology thing and cuz he has an autistic son whom he refusese to treat (you know that whole "pills are bad" scientology belief) His brother Joey actually runs an autistic charity for his nephew in the hopes that someday they'll let him help. (i'm simplifying, but you get the idea)

Yay for Lauren passing her screw!!!

and Kevin has a job interview/audition tonight at a restaurant about 30 minutes from us. He thinks he'll like it and if the pay is up to snuff we'll be taking a vacation (yea i know...more alone time with the hubby) before he starts full time.

YAY!!!! then i can have jazmyn time again!!!!!

apricotbaby 07-27-2007 07:15 PM

Regarding Tom Cruise and the whole celebrity/little man/Katie Holmes/Suri thing. Yeah... he has just become so extremely odd. Ever since his interview with Matt Lauer regarding Scientology and condemning Brooke Shields for taking anti-depressants after her first pregnancy he's been on the "Hi, I'm crazy." radar. I don't know what it is with most celebs. They wind up going bonkers, some just sooner (or later) than others. I feel terrible for Katie Holmes, she just does not appear to be into him at all. I still think he's gay. I wouldn't be at all surprised that Suri isn't his, but she does look like quite the combination of the two of them. Maybe she wasn't conceived in the biblical sense and they went to a fertility doctor? I'm hoping anyway... Again, I feel so badly for Katie, she seems trapped to me.

I had no idea that John Travolta has an autistic son. That just creeps me out, too then. That he won't let people and/or medication help him. Geez.

I'm glad the screw passed with no problem. Heh.

Jelly, very very cute banner! *snuggles*

*bounces around rue and Jazzy some*
