And about the leaving - I just see several familiar names saying they're moving on and clearing out their inventory. |
Yeah, it's sad when people do that. but i think some people are feeling the pressure of going to college and so on and are deciding to quit.
though i've never understood that way of thinking, why give all your stuff away just because you can't be that active any more? you can still drop in and catch up occasionally? i just hope that for the ones who leave for whatever reason we get some newbies who stick around, the site just isn't growing at all, membership slowly increases, but the amount online never gets to much more than 100 at peak times. |
It's always sad when people leave. I have been Fishing on Gaia lately and have really been suggesting to the people that I encounter that are intelligent enough to carry on a decent conversation to come here and try it out. I know that the few that actually have really like it almost as much as I do! I'm sure if they also got some type of referral plan going, that would be extremely helpful, too, as I've had a few people join Neo via my MySpace page, etc.

We will be having referrals again soon, once the new layout is done, if it ever gets done..Josh's friend who's creating it is slooooow.

It's only been used twice..and only for a few days each time, it got abused because it gave 50 gold as soon as someone you'd refered signed up, so people went an round getting absolutely anyone to join.
It wont work that way next time though so people wont be so quick to try and abuse it 8) |
Ohh . . . that's a good idea - I like the idea of a referral system - that may help with increasing the population as well.

Ahh, yes. I can see how that would have been a problem, then. It's too bad that some people just feel the need to go and abuse stuff like that, isn't it?
I like the idea of putting up a little icon or something on maybe your MySpace page or something similar. Not like Gaia, where you send an email to each of your friends. That's a bit too intrusive for me. But Neo and Zantarni have the right idea for referrals, IMO. *waves to sia* Feeling better, hon? |
Better than I was *waves back* I just made myself a cup of peppermint tea with honey and my boyfriend just left with 8 other guys to go pub crawling for a bachelor party.

Hi everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far. I'm stuck at work, UGH!!! I need to get the resume updated and printed out so I can start looking for a better job! I have forgotten what it's like to have weekends off!

T__T I just smashed my left hand into a door. It needs some purkle luffin, then again its turning a bit purkle as I try to type with it *Bites lower lip holding back a scream*
Other then this I think my weekend will be fun. I got 2 new rings my friend made. One is made out of 3 diff woods its all twisted together <3 It has Teak, African, and Black walnut. My other ring is Ironwood and while he was turing it it made two lines down the center. Its really pretty. My mum got this really cool ring thats made out of Titanium and the best part is i diamond is being held in by tension <3 Anything new with you guys? How come Neo hasn't joined Menewsha yet? |

Yeah, you either wanna to set it up now before the holidays or after. Cause that's always a very busy time T__T I never really give my family gifts around the holidays cause it's just to busy and you lose the true meaning of it all. So me being there eatting dinner with them is good enough ^_^ Since they never really get to spend that much time with me.

yea I thought about now, but I'm still trying to figure out what I'm gonna make for the holidays.
I'm making my mom an afghan, plus 2 afghans for our anonymous gift giving we do on xmas eve, and I'm working on 1 for my sister. It was supposed to be done by today, but I procrastinated. So I'm hoping by next month when we visit I'll be able to have it for her. Plus I have a baby blanket I'm working on for my niece. so many projects!!!! |
