Fruit-fed lobsters? Can ONLY make them more YUM than usual.

And yes, lobsters are scavengers (which is why they are not kosher), so will eat anything, much like pigs.

Lilim 08-19-2007 11:48 PM

How can a lobster eat fruit when they live in the sea?
There are no fruit trees in the sea

I'm thinking these were raised in tanks--you can drop fruit into the tanks.

Lilim 08-19-2007 11:56 PM

oOo... Well, aren't most lobsters little trashcans of the sea?
Don't they almost eat anything?

jellysundae 08-19-2007 11:59 PM

I think so Lil, a lot of fish and shellfish eat some pretty revolting things..

EternalHearts 08-20-2007 12:08 AM

Yupyup--hence the scavenger reference.

apricotbaby 08-20-2007 12:25 AM

Those little buggers can eat 24 karat gold and the freshest fruit in the entire world but they're still not going in my tummy! hahaha

jellysundae 08-20-2007 12:53 AM

I want to try lobster ^^

I like swordfish! that's yummy :D

Chi 08-20-2007 01:01 AM

If you stuff their bait pockets full of fruit, they'd eat it. ^^

These weren't tank lobsters. Just ones fished from traps in the sea.

magikjaz 08-20-2007 06:21 PM

mmmmm ... lobster!

we're actually planning on sushi tonight for dinner ... if I can get motivated. I drank WAY too much last night

Hello all that are purkle. <3

Mama Juru 08-20-2007 07:57 PM

Good afternoon purkles! Just running through. We are so busy at work today I don't have time to play :(

Moon 08-20-2007 08:16 PM

Blech... work. :[

I have to get one ...

Chi 08-20-2007 10:11 PM

I know I've been mentioning work woes a lot lately, with the Red Tide and all. We opened back up this past Thursday (a miraculous one week close? I won't rant at the oddness of that), but now the workers have gone on strike.

*throws hands in the air*

roocee 08-20-2007 10:41 PM

Evening everyone. I'm really getting tired of not having internet at work. Next week will be very boring if I don't have it there since I won't have it at home. I will be going through withdrawal. Not a good thing.

Today was the most horrible day for me and right now I just want to get totally plastered and forget it ever happened.

Chi 08-20-2007 10:51 PM

Oh no. What happened? :(

siaasgn 08-20-2007 11:36 PM

Evening purkles - so it turned out to be a bit of an interesting weekend for me.

Friday night when my boy was leaving the last bar at 2am (when they all close and kick everyone out) as he was getting into the limo some random person jumped into the drivers seat and drove the limo 2 feet. The limo had suicide doors (they open the opposite direction than normal car doors) and so when the limo moved my boy's foot was pushed the wrong direction and he was dragged stuck between the door and the ground.

He got home and woke me up at 4am to take him to the hospital - luckily his foot is not broken and it just has tissue damage - he's extremely lucky. He's on crutches for now and he has to visit his normal Dr. within the week for a check up.

Oy - only him - I swear.

roocee 08-21-2007 12:01 AM

OMG Sia, I'm glad he's ok. How horrible.

Chi, it was just one of those Monday's I would just like to forget. Work was a madhouse with the phone this afternoon and everyone was wanting something done right now not thinking we have more clients than just them. My boss didn't have the documents he needed in his file for Court and was extremely upset over that. It wasn't my fault but I had to fix the problem. Just one of those days.

siaasgn 08-21-2007 12:14 AM

Roo: Days like that are the worst - hope it gets better.

I'm really relieved that he's not more inure than he is - I think a lot of it is because he was wearing sketchers - which are solid and chunky so they took a lot of the beating instead of his foot. now that it's over it's funny - if he posts the pictures I'll see if I can link to them here - he has a picture of his mangled shoe - it's kinda crazy.

Aliena 08-21-2007 04:30 AM

Wow, Sia! How frightening! I'm glad he's not injured any worse because it sounds like it could have turned out a lot worse!

Roocee - I'm sorry your day was so rough! At least tomorrow has to be better, right? And can you bring a book if you don't have internet access? I don't know if you have downtime there or not...

Chi - Red Tide? I used to live on the gulf coast and remember growing up with numerous red tide scares.

roocee 08-21-2007 01:56 PM

I have lots of little things to do if the internet is down. It's just a matter on if I want to do that little stuff or not. I would much rather be here. Especially next week when I won't have access at home until our cable gets turned on at the new place.

We started packing and got alot done last night. I think tonight we will spend some time taking boxes to the house. Less to move on Sunday.

jellysundae 08-21-2007 02:53 PM

Seems a lot of the world is antsy right now then! Odd how that happens isn't it?

Si maybe your boy should send pics of his shoe off to Skechers with his tale of woe? He might get a free pair back ;)

Roo i had days like that, being dumped on by managers and so on and going home feeling ready to kill someone. I'd try to zone out on the bus journey home to chill out, because i hate being mad about work during my free time!

Chi that's just typical isn't it?

I'm desperately trying to get myself back onto daylight hours so i can do something about finding a job. I went to bed not long after midnight last night as i was starting to feel sleepy, read for a little while, then just laid there..i could feel myself getting more and more awake
In the end i gave up and started reading again, i read the entire book in the end as i felt wide awake, and it was maybe 6AM when i finally got to sleep  I roused myself at half past 12 and i feel really disgruntled now, i haven't seen a morning for weeks!
I really need to sort myself out, i may punish myself with enforced housework later.
