Yep, Jess refuses to wear socks and shoes unless absolutely necessary.

Don't know what you are going to do Jess when you get back to work.

He is fine. He is actually very happy cause his son whom he had lost touch with for almost 10 years tracked him down night before last and they got a chance to talk on the phone, and then yesterday his son emailed pictures, including some of a gorgeous 3 and a half year old grand daughter Jim and I had known nothing about!
Yeah, I figure calling him ignorant Redneck/Hillbilly/etc always beats him calling me a Treehugger... I mean I have been to Washington and Oregon where some true treehuggers are, I know the difference

When it warms up and I know in staying in for the afternoon, the first thing to go are the socks. Summer on the other hand, are lucky to see a single pair of socks from me, since I prefer to wear sandles if I go annywhere :D

I right there with you on this! I love the look of shoes...I love buying them and trying them on, but I hate wearing anything on my feet! I go barefoot anytime I possibly can get away with it.

I'm ashamed to asmit it but I just woke up about an hour ago ... and then only cuz my phone started ringing. In my defense I was up until almost 5AM here so it's still just a little over 8 hours sleep.

and jelly and chimama ... I didn't even THINK to check for an Anne Rice book thread! I'm such a dork! Have I ever mentioned that I have all but 1 of her vampire books and all of her mayfair books and a couple of the others (like "ramses the damned" and "Servant of the Bones")?!? I've read the sleeping beauty series but don't own them and the others haven't interested me enough yet to purchase (cuz our local library doesn't have them) I read "interview" when I was in college in 1990 and fell in love.

Shie is, she really is, big blue eyes and the most genuine smile that only a three year old can muster. I cannot wait to get something to send her, or hopefully meet her sometime (soon?)
Funny thing, in the past 10 years the son has grown to look very much like a younger version of Jim. Almost scary.

  • well, i think his sending that picture is a start, you know? most likely you guys will get to that point sooner or later, and then you can cuddle her all you like! <33

Mama Juru 03-22-2007 06:48 PM

I like scuffling around the house in my slippers. The kids think it is real funny to put them on and scoot around the house and then come up and shock me.

Out here the dress shoe of choice is the flip flop. :D

I did however buy these very cute shoes from Torrid that I can't wait to wear. Granted I will only be able to wear them for about an hour but still, lol.

morquarwen 03-22-2007 06:49 PM

Well I wont have a choice then Rue, though I found a good work from home prospect that Im going to check into. I just have to muster the courage to put the phone number down so they can call and give me a 15 minute demonstration for what they do. I figure its worth a shot, and if it pans out I can go barefoot all day :D

Kaenai 03-22-2007 06:54 PM

  • O:

oh, jess, you have to send me some info (that is, after you get it - i bet you will). i really would like to find something where i can work from home. it will make my whole anxiety thing pretty much null and void. :3

siaasgn 03-22-2007 06:55 PM

I prefer to not wear shoes if I can - at home I have slippers because our house is so cold in the winter.

in the spring I wear socks when it's chilly - and in summer it's barefoot or flip flops all the way (unless I have to go to work - which is 5 days a week ;) )

i love the name.

morquarwen 03-22-2007 07:01 PM

I will Kae, though I can pm you the website so you can look into it if you like. My ex's mother noticed it on the back of the van that was in front of us this morning  So when I got home I went to the website, and it honestly looks like a good, honest company. They have testimonials from people who took it as a part time job and now its their only income, and they are living rather well. So worth checking into for sure :D

Kaenai 03-22-2007 07:03 PM

  • oh, i hope it really is a good company. i'd like to try it :3
if you could send me a PM that would be wonderful! O:

roocee 03-22-2007 07:04 PM

Just make sure you check it out with that site you have for scams.

I would hate to see get into something that isn't what they say.

Kaenai 03-22-2007 07:12 PM

  • Yeah.. there's a lot of scams out there. That's why I haven't tried anything like that yet. I know there's transcription jobs out there, but I don't type nearly fast enough I don't think.

jellysundae 03-22-2007 07:18 PM

wah!!

i'm trying to decide which clothing item to aim for first, but i'm so afraid of buying something then not liking it once i put it on T_T

i've been wandering the site trying to see people in the clothes that i like, but hardly anyone has much on  all in the same boat i suppose, much as i like this site, i WISH you could preview the clothes :(

Kaenai 03-22-2007 07:24 PM

i know what you mean. i have a few ideas of what i want (that white scarf and some white pants? o: ), but a preview would be great.

roocee 03-22-2007 07:24 PM

I hear you Jelly. I just went very basic so that I have something on.

I like both items but not necessarily together but at least I'm covered for now.

I need to change my hair but can't seem to do it here at work. I will do that at home.

Kae, transcription isn't really hard. You can set your own pace with it really. Ask Jess, I type pretty fast now since I've done it for so many years. I probably can do about 120 wpm if I was being timed and didn't know I was.

Kaenai 03-22-2007 07:29 PM

  • hmm... okay.

well, i don't know if i was expecting it to be hard. i just know i don't type very quickly, and a lot of the places i looked wanted you to be a certain number of keystrokes per minute or something.

maybe i'm just looking in the wrong places! O:
but i know i'm not nearly as fast as you are...

roocee 03-22-2007 07:39 PM

It comes with years and years of practice.

i'm shooting for the chinese dress in menewsha imports, but I opted to at least get a rag shirt to cover me up for awhile hehehe

Kaenai 03-22-2007 07:47 PM

  • O: I am 33! How many more years do I need! D:

    -tries to practice-

roocee 03-22-2007 07:50 PM

LOL.....I've just been doing it since high school.

I'm 37 so that makes for the many many many years.

Kaenai 03-22-2007 07:59 PM

  • lol - me too! but i'm still not very fast, even though almost every job i've ever had involved a computer! O:

i guess i just need to practice more and more D:
