I hear that Eternal. I could be unpacking, organizing, etc but I just don't feel like it. Right now I should be working...lol.

You guys are so chatty, I love it! :D I should be working too...I have 4 faces I said I'd start painting today. So why am I here chatting on Mene instead? lol
I'm also trying to figure out what to cook tonight...maybe a copycat recipe? |
I'm so ready to be done with work right now. It hasn't been a bad day, just a busy one.
Christmas music hurts me. *waves to Eternal and Flink* Hello!! |
I hear that Juru. I just want to go home.
|
|
*peeks in again*
I love holiday music! But I agree...let's get past thanksgiving first shall we. and I love Hallowe'en too ... cuz it's a scant 3 days past my bday ... I love watching the kidlets get dressed up around us ^_^ |
HiHi Juru! I'm ready for the day to be over too...I have tomorrow off for the holiday, then it's one day in before I get to go on vacation!!!

Tacklehugs Jaz!!!

You know, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I think just with the food and family and the thankfulness of it all, I just look forward to that time every year!
|
|
JAZ! Good to see you coming out of hidnig!
I agree Aliena about Thanksgiving being my favorite holiday. It was always the one growing up with the least drama, and I don't have to worry about presents or Hallmark taking over or anything like that. Nice and simple. |
It just seems to be one of the least commercialized. My other favorite time is the day after Halloween - half price candy!
|
I tend to agree with Thanksgiving being a favorite Holiday. Although there is just too much food, it's just nice to spend time with everyone without the expense of gifts, etc.

96.5 was a rock station. So that's why it's so missed. It was practically THE only rock station that picked up in the area where Flink lives. Now there isn't any. It's either rap, some mix station (Flink usually listens to this), country, gospel, or classical.
Flink likes Thanksgiving because she adores turkey and dressing with cranberry sauce. XD |
We actually do a gift exchange at Thanksgiving too since I'm not with my own family for Christmas. We go to my husband's for Christmas. We've been doing a sort of game with that the last couple of years - we draw a letter out of the Scrabble bag and then the following year, our presents all have to start with that letter. This past year, I drew "g." It makes it really fun - less emphasis on the actual stuff, more emphasis on what we can come up with!

Wow! That kind of reminds me of a TV Show where that happened...I think it was Gilmore Girls or something. And they had like 4 or 5 meals they had to go to all in one day.

 That's TERRIBLE Flink! *feels your pain* Gods, taht's so depressing... I feel the same way about all of that...it's my favorite meal of the year. |
Oh that's a great idea Aliena.
|
Maybe just get tiny portions at each?
|
|
Aliena, that's so cute!
When I was with my ex, we sometimes went to both Thanksgivings--usually did dinner with one family and dessert with the other and switched the following year. Taht way it's not too much food in teh day. |
Our parents live in opposite ends of the state, so we've just always done Thanksgiving at my parents', Christmas at his. This year for Christmas, all I know is I'm doing a buttload of baking! Horror of horrors, last year on like day 2 over there, there were no sweets left in the house! The closest I came was cutting up a banana and drizzling chocolate syrup on it. lol. That was actually really good!
But this year, I'm bringing lots and lots of cookies so that doesn't happen again! Bye, Kale! |
