I completely agree Jelly. I just need to find a place that has the curtain rods cheap. I can't afford 5 dollars a rod. That's insane I think.

jellysundae 09-24-2007 11:21 PM

When I had a house with my ex..whoever had lived there before obviously liked to nearly blind themselves, all the bulbs in every room were 100 watts! Just the sort of soft, gentle light you're looking for in the bedroom and so on..

roocee 09-24-2007 11:24 PM

I never saw the need for 100 Watt bulbs. Way too much light there. I like the softer light, much easier on the eyes.

jellysundae 09-24-2007 11:29 PM

I agree, i prefer a few lamps with lower wattage bulbs rather than a floodlight glaring down from the ceiling
I've only got a 40watt in the ceiling lamp in my living room, anything brighter looks flat for some reason, I like table lamps instead.

I'm concidering shifting my desk and the TV about, but i'm unsure if it will look ok, i don't want to have to shift it all back again if it looks bad

roocee 09-25-2007 12:07 AM

I wouldn't want to be moving it back either...lol. I guess that's why I don't move things around after I get them placed.

jellysundae 09-25-2007 12:24 AM

Well I'm really limited to how I can place things anyway because of where the electrical outlets are. But the furniture has been like this for 5 years and I need a change because i'm fed up with it

roocee 09-25-2007 01:30 AM

Yeah, it's hard when there are only so many outlets.

jellysundae 09-25-2007 01:44 AM

I have extention leads trailing behind everything, plus i hate to think what i'll find under my desk seeing as it hasn't moved for a few years. I've emptied the hoover in preparation though, it's likely to get very full of dust I think!

you never find money when you move stuff though do you? It's always junk like pens that don't work, and paper clips and rubber bands

roocee 09-25-2007 01:58 AM

I did find money once. In the pocket of a jacket I had used in the fall when I put it on in the spring. It was a nice surprise.

Oh yes, we had a large collection of dust under my computer desk when we moved. Also under the couch and my bed...lol.

jellysundae 09-25-2007 03:06 AM

Oh my, under the bed is the worst! I moved mine earlier in the year and got rid of all the woofies from behind it. I took the cushions off the sofa to give them a shake up and prod about, I didn't find any cash there either, but I did find a Cheerio
Actually I'd imagine that you only find charge under the couch cushions of houses with males living in them, because women don't keep change in their pockets.

Aliena 09-25-2007 03:09 AM

Jelly, sorry to bug ya, but where'd you go to do the sig randomizer?

jellysundae 09-25-2007 03:16 AM

Here...

Aliena 09-25-2007 03:17 AM

Thank you kindly! ^_^

jellysundae 09-25-2007 03:19 AM

If you use that, make sure you add the direct linked images and not the ones with the img tags like i did  then spent a lot of time swearing because it didn't work

Aliena 09-25-2007 03:26 AM

I got it working. I've been meaning to do this for ages!

jellysundae 09-25-2007 03:28 AM

Yaya! you have a carnival picture from Navidian too!! I adore mine, it's just so sweet and lovely http://i14.tinypic.com/6cskyl3.gif

Aliena 09-25-2007 03:39 AM

Yeah! I was so excited to get a pic from her! I have so few avvy arts as it is and the one she drew was so sweet! Which was actually the emotion I requested. What I like is how the chickie on my head flew off.

roocee 09-25-2007 02:06 PM

Oh, I've been meaning to ask you for that link as well Jelly. Not that I have much here for my siggy but it would be nice to have the stuff from the carnival to randomize.

Chi 09-25-2007 05:03 PM

Ohhh, my tummy's queasy today. Our friend made some apple pie and apple crisp, so I tried a little bit of each. I do mean a little bit, and ugh. It was tasty but now I have a bit of a brain fog on top of the tummy ache.

I'm at work right now, but nothing's really going on so I thought I'd make a post. Our move last night took longer than expected, so we have tons to do tonight and tomorrow. Tons.

We were meant to move the bedrooms down Friday evening, but oddly enough my father called a couple days ago and asked Cole and me to dinner that night. Yes, he finally made contact. I'm not sure how to feel, but it's probably not good when the first thing that comes to my mind is, "Hmm. Is this how a cow feels whilst being led off to slaughter? They don't know what's exactly coming up, but surely it's not a good thing."

*skeptic* >>;;

How's everyone's day going? :3

jellysundae 09-25-2007 11:25 PM

Strange things upset your tummy don't they Chi? After your experimenting with a burger and a hotdog with noe problems, you wouldn't have though that desert would set it off. There's no understanding the human body!

Roo that's the main reason I set mine up, so I could show off my carnival goodies, as well as the pretty piccies people have drawn for me ^.^

roocee 09-25-2007 11:33 PM

I have the page bookmarked here but right now, it's all not making sense to me. I'll try again later.

jellysundae 09-25-2007 11:56 PM

It's not too complicated, create a rotator and give it a name, then select that one to add images to.

I load mine up through tinypic because it's easy, paste the direct link for layouts code into the add images window.

When you want to add it to your sig, copy the BBcode from the Rotator URLs shown on the rotator page, and change the word EXAMPLE to whatever you have called your rotator.

It is a bit of fiddling around compared to how simple Tektek's is, but sadly that one wont work on Mene :(

roocee 09-26-2007 12:20 AM

Ok, this weekend I will work on that.

Chi 09-26-2007 01:24 PM

Indeed, Jelly, but since I was a kid I haven't been able to tolerate high doses of sugar anyway. We're all hypoglycemic, just about. XD

*dances* The living room looks quite awesome, if I do say so myself. I just wish the area rug was here, but it won't be 'till the end of next week or the week after. :3

Time to get crackin' on the kitchen. I've been up for an hour or so cleaning all the dust and stuff off from the things we'll be moving downstairs today. Can't wait 'till it's over! XD

fawN 09-26-2007 05:51 PM

The problem with that rotator sig is that I have a heck of a time saving images of your avi art, and jaz's on zan, I figured out. It was trying to save every image as mene.png even though they were jpgs and gifs and for jaz's, it was actually saving a different image for each one I saved, whether it was the one I was viewing or not. And it caused some problems too where if I tried to delete them and try again, it said I had a sharing violation and I couldn't delete them, and Jason had to dl software to delete them for me. I finally worked it out so where if I copied the image rotation url, then pasted it, if I came across one I wanted to save, I'd have to delete the last several number characters and ? off the end, and THEN it would work! What a pain!

And my tummy's been queasy the last few days too, especially yesterday. It actually feels like morning sickness, but I hope it's not because they told me to wait at least a year and a half after a c-section to let my body fully heal.
