The Strange Visitor 05-02-2007 01:39 AM

No. No where special. Just took my wife and baby along the coast all weekend to see some of the missions that the Spanish missionaries built here in California as they made their way up the coast. I am not religious, but still, they are of great historical interest. So we went to see a few of them.

jellysundae 05-02-2007 01:47 AM

That sounds really nice, i love Spanish achitecture, a most enjoyable way to spend the weekend, especially if the wether has been nice, which i suppose it generally is in California anyway!

The Strange Visitor 05-02-2007 01:54 AM

Yeah, it was nice down here. It was sunny for the most part, so that made the trip enjoyable. We were able to make it half way up the coast before we had to come back. Maybe later this year we can hit the other half past Sulvang. And I love the architecture as well. Seeing how they built the homes and missions and learning of the people who were there is really interesting.

What the.. ? Is that a new game I haven't checked out yet? I'm waiting to catch up on a lot of the neo news/images until I get back home, but who knows how long that will be!

Welcome back sia and SV! I was wondering where you were!

And big congrats to jelly! How exciting! You'll be fabulous as a mod, I'm sure of it!

Journal: http://www.neopets.com/mip/index.phtml

Comic: http://www.neopets.com/mip/comic.phtml

Walkthrough:

Day One

Visit the Journal and click on the button that says To the puzzle. That will take you to a game where you must help Scrap sort all of the various items on the ship into a neat square. The game is a little like Tetris or Tangrams, and most (if not all) people have different puzzles. It usually helps to put the oddly-shaped pieces together first and fit the rest around them, but there are many techniques to use.

If you get stuck, feel free to post a screenshot in this thread to ask for help. Make sure your images are under 500 pixels wide. Any larger and you'll stretch people's screens. If your image is wider than that, please link to it.

Once you're done, click Submit. You will have to solve 3 of these puzzles in all, and the procedure's the same for each of them. When you're done with your third one, you can sit back and wait for more news! Smile

i grabbed it from the ppt form so just ging you guys a heads up if you han't been yet like fawn who has been under a rock for a few weeks

The Strange Visitor 05-02-2007 02:41 AM

buffyhowe 05-02-2007 02:43 AM

oh sorry it's for neopets but if you look st the urls i have provted they do sy neo,com

jellysundae 05-02-2007 02:53 AM

oh my, just had some porn to deal with O.O
i can't understand why someone would create an account simply to post porn, upset people and then get banned :? there's more to life than that!

The Strange Visitor 05-02-2007 02:57 AM

Beats me. ... ... ... Anyway, some people just don't have anything better to do that post mindless stuff like that on a forum that does not even allow some thing close to that on here in the first place.

Aliena 05-02-2007 03:03 AM

I know, Jelly! Wasn't that terrible? I'm glad you were around - I was afraid someone underaged was going to stumble into that thread!

Must get to working!

Speaking of which, my husband has a job interview in another city on Friday. *crosses fingers* It's a place I think I'd really love to move. So here's hoping something good comes out of it!

jellysundae 05-02-2007 03:05 AM

oh well, it's HOURS past my bedtime now..so i shall bid you all goodnight, and hope that another mod comes back online soon, i can't help but think that the spammer who posted the porn is just waiting for me to sign off so he can do it again :x

Aliena 05-02-2007 04:19 AM

Goodnight! Yeah, I think I'm actually headed that way myself. And it's weird...it's like 2 1/2 hours earlier than I normally go to bed! I just can't do anymore arting tonight, no matter how much I try. So I think I'm going to have some nice book time and then actually go to sleep early! I've neglected reading so much lately.

roocee 05-02-2007 01:52 PM

Morning everyone.

Selena, I had a very hard time with my puzzles too. I found it easier to start with the mops and work around those. I can't look at it here at work and I'm sure you will have it solved before I get home tonight.

siaasgn 05-02-2007 02:25 PM

I know it kind of feels like cheating - but I came across this puzzle solver in one of my neopet LJ communities -

http://www.geocities.com/jaapsch/puzzles/polysolver.htm

You input the board size and then each of the individual shapes and it will solve it for you- just make sure you click the none option on the shapes so the solver doesn't rotate the shapes on you.

jellysundae 05-02-2007 02:45 PM

Hi Si, nice to see you again :)

i often cheat with puzzles, i will give them a good try, but before i get good and mad i will go looking for cheats!

and some i don't think you could do without some sort of assistance anyway..can you imagine attempting NQII without the maps??

roocee 05-02-2007 02:55 PM

I agree Jelly. I would never have gotten though NQI or II without those maps. In fact, I still need to finish I.

jellysundae 05-02-2007 03:19 PM

I need to finish both! I got a bit further through Faerieland earlier in the year, but it's pretty tedious :?

I gave up completely on NQ, i got down to the bottom part of the map, some tower in a jungly area, and i kept getting killed by some lightning creature. I just don't have the stats to be able to do it, plus i'm missing a key to be able to get through the door anyway

siaasgn 05-02-2007 04:20 PM

I know I like to try and do the puzzles on my own before going outside for help - i know without the maps for NQ1 and 2 I never would of finished them.

The star finders were a lot of help too - I was going cross eyed trying to find my coordinates with that plot.

fawN 05-02-2007 04:23 PM

The first time I did NQII was when it was first released and nobody had made maps yet. It wasn't as hard as it seems because what I did was think about where the entrance to a building/land was, and then envision where I would put the exit if I were the one creating the game.. which often meant at the opposite corner. :P I did pretty well on my own!

jellysundae 05-02-2007 04:33 PM

Well i've always said that you have a lot more tolerance than a lot of us fawN :)

roocee 05-02-2007 05:34 PM

That's for sure!!
