Menewsha's Firsts - What is important to you?
 

I've been thinking about the first things I would change or think that Menewsha should work on, and I decided to make a thread about it. =)

-This thread is in no way meant to offend or stress out the ones in charge of Menewsha.
-This thread is only to get what is important to each user out in the open.
-If this helps make any decisions, please let me know. That would make me proud. =)

Users must understand that Menewsha is still a very new site, and changes are going to be made and things will be added. So far, it is a wonderful site, and I am very pleased.


Here is where you may post the three most important changes you think should be made first. List the three in order of how important they are to you.


These are mine:
1) More ways to make gold!
-Such as polls, surfing, random things on different days, etc.
2) Previewable Store Items.
-I have been having a difficult time deciding which items I want to buy.
3) Places to chat and get to know each other.
-No spamming or anything like that. But some topicless threads would be fun to get to know other users!



Here are some ideas that have been posted:
-Ability to disable gold count display.
-Marketplace.
-More games - Based on skill.
-Games that work without FireFox.
-Friends List.
-A better design/layout.
-More unisex clothing.
-Eye color choice.
-Item return.
-More forums.
-Announcement alerts.

+ More.

@ momus - Great ideas. I forgot about the friend list. Haha. I would like one of those as well. I also like your idea of a shnazzier looking site.

@ Ceridwen_Crystaline Ikoda - I usually stay female, but I still know how you feel. =)

I also thought about eye color. I usually chose gray anyway though, because it goes with everything. =)

another game- preferable one that does not involve luck

ability to preview in shops

friends list

Personally I like the decimals in the gold count. It's different.

I agree with you on that one. I think it is because it's slow since the number of users is low.

same, but sometimes i like to have red ones =)

clothing preview is up there for me too, but i believe that is one of the things that are in the pipeline..

The ability to disable your gold display.. right now it's cool to be able to see how much others have, but as the site grows, people get 'richer' and a few less nice people start drifting in, having your gold on display could be an invitation for hacking attempts..

most other things that i'd like to see are things that others have mentioned, and i am sure are all likely to be on the way anyway..

Let's see my three things would be...

1) preview of the items in the stores
So I know what I'm buying and how it looks like on someone.

2) a cheaper bank account? xD Nah I'm joking. I guess more games. I like games. And preferably one that doesn't lose money. But I heard they're already developing that, so I'm not worrying too much.

3).... I don't dunno. I would say ways to get more gold, but I kinda like this system. If anything I say some gold for polls but I don't want gold from surfing... that reminds me way too much of gaia (I make more gold from surfing on gaia then I actually do posting >.>)

I dunno. I kinda just like where Menewsha is. I mean yeah somethings need improvement, but I can do without it for now or I know they're already working on it. *shrugs*

I have to agree with some others. Market place, games that arn't based on chance and instead skill, and eye colors.

But I have to disagree with the one who said getting rid of the decimal points. I LIKE them, and I think not only do they add something diffrent to the site, but in a way they *give* more gold than less, I've noticed. The decimals add up, giving more points. If the decimals were taken away, I doubt they would round up the numbers, I think instead they would round them down... ^^;

@ Seito - I agree. I kind of like this system for getting gold as well, however... it gets frustrating when some people can't play the games because they don't have Fire Fox. =(

And I'm so used to being rich [on Gaia] that it gets a little slow for me.

Especially when I'm a busy person and can't spend all day on my computer posting. =(

Customizable profiles, or at least a profile where we have an "about us" feature, maybe even a comment feature.

More clothing!

Puzzle/word based games.


I don't see anything wrong with the gold system right now. I find making gold through just posting really easy. ^^; And I'm not too worried about getting too many clothing items just yet since there aren't too many.

Ah yeah. Well I end up losing more gold then earning when playing games. And it's free to download firefox you know.

But yeah it does. Especially late at night for me. Because I live in the one of furtherest time zones (my midnight is like 5am for people on the east coast) I run out of people and threads to talk to. But I make this up by writing.

I understand the gaia think. I'm use to being rich too and being able to make 5k-10k a day.

For a busy person not so much fun. But I'm still hesitant to agree to changing the gold system too much.

Hopefully it will be later on? cos it can be embarrising to some too >.> and cause people to get begger mail and stuff :(

Makes sense to me. I really do like the fact that you get gold when people post in the threads you make. It incourages users to make interesting threads. =)
