I am proud to say that the first anime I remember being exposed to was Sailor Moon! Followed by Hamtaro, then Yu-Yu- Hakashu and DBZ. And then I learned at around the age of 12 that there was anime away from the cartoon network =P
|
Sailor Moon was the first I remember recognizing as an anime, but the first manga/anime that I read/watched was Rurouni Kenshin. ^^ -huggles Kenshin- Haha. |

LOL! That's kinda funny. ^^ Honestly though, as much as I love Kenshin, I think Naruto beat him just for the laughs. haha. ^^;;; |
Ah, my first ever manga, before I even know what manga was, was Dragon Knights. It was actually pretty good for the first 10 volumes before the story just felt like it was running in circles. Ceisa, or what ever her name was, was not a very good character, she was just too sporadic, both good and bad, weak and strong, i got to the 20th book until it was too much for me.

I think the first Anime I ever saw was Sailor Moon, but I was never really interest in it. I liked it, but I didn't fall in love with it. Then I started watching Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon, and they were absolutely fantastic! I was in love! :D

Ugh! I agree! Inuyasha is not the best obsession to have. XD I started reading the manga, never finished it. Same with the anime. ^^;; Oh! But have you ever heard of/ read Basara? =O |

My first anime was Astro Boy and Transformers. Then I started watching Sailor Moon when it first came out. Then Pokemon, which I was obsessed about. When Sailor Moon came back on, that was when I actually discovered that it was anime. My first off tv anime was a hentai called "Midnight Panther". Damn, did that disturb me. After that, I started renting them from Blockbuster and buying the magazine called 'Animerica'. My first manga was 'Sailor Moon'.........Now I have over 700 manga and over 100 DVDs. I plan to grow my collection more, but not right now. I haven't bought anything anime since 2007. I also am going to buy manga in japanese to help me practice reading and understanding the language.

The FIRST anime I ever saw was The Little Mermaid, back in the olden days of yore, i.e. when I was three. I saw a few animes intermittently up until I was fourteen. Then I saw Tenchi Muyo, and that was it, I was hooked. As I recall, the first manga I ever leafed through was also Tenchi Muyo, but the first manga I ever read read was Alice 19th (Yuu Watase's artwork <3)

My first anime was probably Superbook. Back when I didn't know what anime was... XD; That and Sailor Moon a couple times. But I've never been that into sparkly pretty girl shows... I was more into He-Man than I was into She-Ra... XD
The first anime I watched when I became AWARE of the difference between American cartoons and Japanese animation was InuYasha. It started my obsession. ^^; |

Oh, I did keep one 'Animerica'. It was the one my drawing got posted. I think that was back in 2002. |

My first technically was Voltron, but I never actually knew it was anime. Besides that I believe my first was Galaxy Express 999 back when the Sci-Fi channel would show anime on Saturdays.
|
hmmm, it was either pokemon or sailor moon.....can't remember much :P
|
salior moon but the first real nanime i was introduced to was Trigun by my cousin
|
The first anime i saw was maybe Sailor Moon or Dragon Ball Z and the first manga i remember reading was Naruto. Not sure if Transformers or Trigun were up there or not, it was a long time ago i was introduced to em, my step dad and uncles watched a lot so i was force fed it at an early age, not that i mind XD
|
Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Pokemon I think I was introduced to all at the same time all because of Toonami. But if it's from Adult swim, Inuyasha would be the first one I saw.
|
I guess technically it was Speed Racer for me. Then I also used to watch Voltron when I was younger, too. But my first anime, from beginning to end, that I watched when I was thirteen, was The Irresponsible Captain Tyler. Effin' amazing show. It's so quirky, and very much corny Japanese 80's anime, but it's raunchy and hilarious as well. Though I didn't really start to get into anime at all until I played FFVII.
Oh man...shut up Azerai, or you'll start talking about the good ol' days and lose track. |
lol Speed Racer was first for me too, followed by Yu Yu Hakusho and Tenchi Muyo.
|
Sailor Moon and Tenchi Muyo were my first animes. I also enjoyed DBZ and Gundam Wing.
|
can't remember for sure but I think it was sailor moon but it might have been Pokemon that was a long, long time ago... i think i started to watch Tenchi Muyo at the same time as Sailor Moon... so who knows
