Probably pokemon, but I think Sailor Moon was a close second
|
... Thinking about it the first was Pokemon, then whatever else was on TV.
But for being introduced to the Japanese versions... I think I first watched Loveless, then hunted down the original Japanese episodes of YuGiOh |
Sailor Moon, I believe. T_T; But the first fandom I realized as anime was Beyblade. It all started from there- the entire obsession with anime and manga. ^^ From Beyblade it was Inuyasha, and after Inuyasha it was (and pretty well still is) Naruto. My anime list totals at 330 right now, and that's with it still missing a few series that I forgot to write down. My manga list was given up on a looong time ago. XP

Okay well I have two cause I was actually introducted to anime when i was little but didn't really watch or read an anime/manga for years after so here, when i was about 5 my dad bought me a anime movie called Kiki's Delivery Service but I didn't for the life of me know that was considered an anime so I usually count the first anime I say later on Anime- Fruit Basket and Manga- Death Note.

I'm not sure, but I THINK Sailormoon was the first anime I've ever seen. Then not too long after, I started watching digmon.
When I was still very young, I remember not being able to fall asleep and then flipping the tv on. Just so happened we had cartoon network (RIP toonami! T_T) and I saw my first "real" (mature/aimed at an older demographic) anime... Outlaw Star. I loved it as a kid and it's still a great anime. It's also the ony anime I can recall where a neko/cat person could eat your face off! <3 Aisha Clan Clan. lol. Edit: Oh! If we're counting Miyazaki films as anime, then Sailormoon wasn't even my first experience with anime! It was Totoro! I watched that flick so much as a kid that I nearly wore out the tape! How could I forget about the dustbunnies? Shame on me! |
Sailor Moon but pokemon was the close second. I regret watching Sailor Moon but the earliest series of Pokemon was actually interesting and funny. Now they turned it into cheesy third-rate grade school show.
|
my first anime was sailor moon back when it was on cartoon network back in the 90's yes i know when i say that it makes me sound like an old fart when im only 22 but i love that show to death it was awesome and now i have the first two seasons on dvd undubbed in subtitles and when i remember it it was not that perverted because when i first watched it i watched it in english dubbed but apparently i found out that the show was geared toward perverted old men
|
My first anime was Sailor Moon, dubbed. This was way back when I was a kid and didn't even know what anime was. Later, when I met friends who watch anime, I watched Fruits Basket and that was how I got hooked. :)
Oh, but when I was even younger I was in love with My Neighbor Totoro. |
I first saw Sailor Moon when I was seven, then Inuyasha, then a flood of manga and anime and I was hooked!
|
First Anime:
Sailor Moon First Manga: Imadoki |
My first anime:
1. Sailor Moon 2. Pokemon 3. Yu-Gi-Oh! (I didn't watch Dragonball like most of my friends becouse I simply didn't like it) First manga = Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne |
Well, my first anime I'm pretty sure was Sailor Moon- not that I knew it was even Anime back then! DX
Manga... thats a hard one. I started reading them when my high school got the books, so I read a /lot/ of manga within the same time frame. I wouldn't be surprised if it was FAKE though XD And yes, my high school had all the books for that series. High school = introduction to yaoi ^^; |
I was first introduced with Sailor Moon but I didn't enjoy it that much. Later I found out about Tenchi Muyo and my love for anything Japanese really grew from there lol.
|
If you want to be technical about it, then my first was pokemon. However, I didn't really know what it was, much less consider it anime. However, when I got older, I watched the Toonami animes like Tenchi, Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing. I watched DBZ for a while, but after the Cell Saga, I got bored and dropped out of it. I briefly watched Sailor Moon, but lost interest in it and just stuck with Tenchi and the rest. And then after that, I found Cowboy Bebop and fell in love with it, then Inuyasha and so on and so forth. My taste for anime has really evolved over the years.
|
Sailor Moon and Inuyasha!!1 I remember them so clearly! <3 Probably because I saw Inuyasha like...three times....?
|
|
I guess sonic the hedgehog for anime(did u guys know he was voiced by Jaleel White...Urkel from Family Matters)
The 1st manga I ever picked up was Hellsing vol 2 or Fruits Basket vol 4, can't remember which one |

But a lot of people still likes it up until now. It's a classic <3 |

@Kelken: Last 10 episodes? OMG. Why don't you watch it? Like right now? ROFL.
And I think Inuyasha series made another season. It's the continuation of the series that didn't really have an ending. =w= ---------- @Sweet: OMGGG. THAT'S SO LIKE ME. >w< I was like.. "..I love you, my white haired prince.." <3 |
Quote:
Yeah! I heard about it! I was really excited! Inuyasha was like, the beginning of my anime obsession. o.o |
my friends keep telling me about the continuation but its hard to get back into after so long, i'll get back around to it eventually, it's on my list.
|
@Kawaii: 8D Me too. That was soo me! I also liked Shippou :3
