I think I should get myself an anatomy book, the library doesn't have ANY good ones, only books that weigh like a ton and are way too unpractical to carry around (plus I can't find them in the renewed library ;__; ). The local booksstore has like one or two... but it's only 20€ (about the same in dollars), so it's like nothing... butbut I'm poor as always <<; Do they help a lot? I have some art books at home but never seem to use them... |

Heheh, mai, I'm going to give this one a shot XD; From my "WORLD 2" story (I need to rename this world, omg X_x): R A P H A EL Background: He is the stableboy that works in Katherine and Katze's royal castle. His father's one of the workers there. One day, he brought the (then) 13 year old Raphael to the castle. He met the twins for the first time (in which little 7 year old Katherine almost killed Katze by convincing the young boy to go riding with her on an untamed and extremely picky stallion). Both of the twins fell off the panicked horse and were about to be stepped on by one of its strong hoofs, before Raphael's father saved them. Raphael comforted the twins. They found his gentle nature to be very welcoming and they were so happy to have their "first friend" (besides each other). Along their 11 year friendship, Katze and Raphael fell in love (Katherine hated to admit it and would always "interrupt" their "alone" time constantly). Katze had always admired Raphael because even though he was of the lower-class bloodline, he saw that Raphael was free--unlike him. Eventually, Katze revealed his wish and plan to escape from the castle. Raphael, though knowing that he'd be betraying Katherine, he couldn't stand seeing Katze unhappy. So, he agreed to help Katze run away together with him. Personality: The stable boy is very kind and would always smile. His warm smile is what attracted both of the twins to him. He's strong and pretty much very carefree about his troubles. When he loves, he loves deeply, and would do almost anything for the one he loves. Physical Description: Raphael is 6 years older than the twins. He is tall and tanned, with a mid length (that reached a little below his shoulders) wavy black hair. He usually has it tied in a ponytail and would occasionally let his hair free when he's relaxing. His eyes are green and "sharp." He's almost always smiling ^_^ [Character sheet I made up for him] Explanation on the legend below: 1 = overall image = instead of having his hair falling on his face, I'd like to see him with his hair tied, please ^^ 2A = his hair when let go (not so common) 2B = his hair when tied in a ponytail (more common) 3 = the tunic he wears, which is a little bit off white. It has a crimson lining on the collar. The tunic's arms are actually long, but it's covered by the... 4 = arm "glove/brace" that cover the tunic's arms. Worn on each arm, it has a thick black lace that ties each together -- to hold it in place. 5 = vest = color is dark brown; goes over the tunic [3] 6 = thick sash = the color is the same color as the tunic, which is off white, but it has thin horizontal lines of dark crimson. It goes around his waist, as if a thick belt. 7 = pouch = where he keeps the key to the barn and other small important things; attached to the sash. 8 = knee-height boots = artist can choose to design however they see fit, as long as it's dark charcoal color and it covers over the pants [9]. 9 = pants = the length is longer, except it's covered by the boots [8]. Yes I do collect tutorials online... but anatomy tutorials (as in realistic anatomy) are hard to find I think <<;;; I mean what would a realistic anatomy look like? xD I was thinking of getting an anatomy book as a tool where I can look up something specific whenever I'm having trouble or just have as a source of inspiration for poses. The thing I'm not sure about is whether an anatomy book really is what I should get when those are the things I'm looking for. So far I've mostly just used fashion magazines for it...

hmm I say it's just good to look at once in awhile at that kind of book for inspiration? I can just go to bookstore and look at those for hours <-- bad bad for not buying XD;; but I look up on the internet most of the time(<3 google ;_;), or pose myself in front of the mirror and sketch down fast. and if Mou doesn't mind some nudity, I suggest this site for some posing reference (though I always forgot to use it in the end and just go with whatever I feel like @[email protected]). or when you google.. be specific about which part of the body you want or pose? that usually works for me :3 sho: of course we are hunz ;3; but I'm sure sho has better memory space than me! and yay for raph! I always like your character, so detailed XD thank you for posting ya! I would love to give him a try someday ♥ |
