My mum knows not of the internet.
She changed our internet for 5 people, a whole family that uses the internet every day to fucking 10 GIG. That's fucking SO SMALL.
When my dad let me change it to 60 GIG, she had a hissy fit, rang up & changed it back to 10 GIG again. SO FUCKING SLOW. We recently changed service providers. Our old provider we never had any problems with, but this new one is absolute shit. |
Eep! That sucks. I hope everything gets settled.
I know I'll never have a problem with that, because I know our plan and it's not like that. Plus my mom doesn't know anything about computers, so I deal with it all. xD |

Apparently there was a deal, so she switched it & the deal has been crap because it's so slow etc. Apparently we've used up all the 10 GIG already. Plus there's 5 of us all using the internet everyday, it's so easy to use 10 GIG up quickly.

At home we have a cable modem and it's supposedly the fastest we can get until they run fiber in our neighborhood - but since my connection at work is so fast I get frustrated with the cable modem at home for being too slow. It's amazing how impatient I've gotten - it scares me sometimes. |

My internet is really fast, so when I use the computers at school, I also get frustrated, especially because the computers themselves are slow, not just the internet. |
Can't say that I've had that problem but it took forever to convince her to go to DSL v.v; Of course, our DSL isn't much better, at least when I use our actual service provider (Verizon).
Of course, my mom wouldn't go against what I have to say anyway because in this house, I know the most about the computer and need for space... Mostly because I spend the most time on the computer. I am also the only one who knows how to type properly and quickly (everyone uses the one finger, look for the letter ten minutes method of typing). |

uhh 10 gig? do you eman download limit? cos 10 gig internet speed..well doesnt exist? (as far as i know)

he if its bandwidth for 5 peopel that would suck DX for light use i can do a gig in 1-2 weeks, and thast with no downloads atol DX so 5 people for a month would suck DX
