Which superhero is best?
The ultimate question! Which of these superheroes are THE BEST & why?
Superman, Spiderman or Batman. I am curious to see which is the most voted. :D |
|
Well, Superman because he's super.. Laser eye thing, super speed, super power, and x-ray vision? Nice. Kryptonite weakness is a downside, but every super hero has a weakness I guess.
Spiderman because he's more like the guy next door. He's just a random kid, a geek even. Batman. Wow. He doesn't even have powers and he's still a super hero. How great is that? Can't decide between Spiderman and Batman. I like the storyline of Spiderman, but Batman's awesome. xD |
Starman. Jack Knight > all
|
Spiderman, FTW. He's the bravest, nerdiest hero of them all!
|
This is probably the hardest question ever. D:
Everyone's got their strong points, but as they are super heroes, they all have their weak points. I would have to say that I like Spiderman. Because he's the only one out of them that can casually climb up walls and hang upside down xD |
Well, I suppose it depends on how you define "the best". If you mean, who would beat the other two in battle, then it would probably be Superman. I mean, the guy is a total Gary Stu... He can do EVERYTHING.
If you mean, which do I like the best, then it's a hard choice between Batman and Spiderman, since they're both my favorites in, respectively, the DC and Marvel universes. Batman is pretty much the only DC comic I enjoy, since he has to rely on brains and training, and not on superpowers, to get things done. Plus, the pure amount of messed up-ness of the bat family makes for some darn good readin'. Spiderman is fun because he's the loser, even with powers. All the other Marvel mutants hate him, his aunt hates his alter ego, AND he gets all the lamest villians, like the Vulture. He can do amazing things, like hanging off of buildings, and his life STILL sucks. Poor guy. |
Spiderman is cool because he's a nerd, but him and Superman both have "super powers". Batman is a guy with so much money that he can fly around all day kicking bad guys butts. Therefore, he wins. :P
|
spiderman, fosho 8)
how many nerds do you know that could kick butt!? he's not the typical perfect, hot, super hero you normally imagine. batman doesn't count, he doesn't even have powers, he just throws his little bat things around all day D< and superman's just too unrealistic. x3 |
Hmm... I say spiderman but my best friend is in LOVE with batman no matter what anyone else thinks so we say batman if she ever asks XD |
superman because he uses his red under pants upside down...
and i like his logo :o |
Oo, picking between Spiderman and Batman is a tough one (because I'm not a Superman fan.) I'd have to say Batman, because he's a self-made man. Superman is an alien who happened to crash-land on the right planet, Spiderman happened to get bitten by a radioactive spider, and while both of them chose to use their powers for good neither of them chose those powers. They would've had them whether they chose to use them for good, evil, or not at all; Mediocrity was never an option.
Batman on the other hand did have that choice. He could've lived an average life after his parents died; Gone to counseling, supported politicians who were in favor of cleaning up the streets, used his money for funding programs to do the same. He had no powers to force him to be anything other than a poor little orphaned rich kid; All Bruce Wayne had was an entirely human body, an entirely human mind, and determination. Instead he obsessed, he sacrificed, he drove himself to the outer limits of his capabilities and in doing so became a superhero. ..The sheer geekery of this post is supplied by my childhood, many hours of which were spent buried in comic books (and just books in general.) |
Superman !!! ^^ He represent the perfection normally. Handsome, strong, a great sense of justice... ^^ But has all USA super heros... He has a bad sense of fashion >.< putting his underwear on his pants O.o ...
For fashion style spiderman would probably be better. Batman for me has a big mind problem O.o and end up living all alone with his bat... becoming senile hehe ^^ I prefer ASTERIX ! |

SPIDERMAN, without a doubt! HOW DO I SHOT WEB? No further explanation is needed. My runner up would be Batman though. Cause I hate Superman with a passion. |
HOLY MOLY

PFFT but Batman doesn't have any real powers though(?) He just has a shitload of money and technology. Though I'll admit, I'm quite partial to Alfred. Not the Michael Caine Alfred. The Michael Gough Alfred. -pets wikipedia- |

but so? he can pretty much fly like spiderman, shoot the string thingie, lol the name escapes me right now and swing from buildings to buildings, and he doesn't run out of that xB he has a cooler costume too. the red and blue just look terrible >3< technology & money can move the world. xDDD |
i cant choose between spiderman and superman
both of them are rock!! i cant wait for spiderman 3 >< |
Well, as many have stated, "best" is kind of a nebulous term.
If by best, you mean most interesting, then: 1. Batman: His origin, powers, and stories are very unique, especially because his stuff is always pyschological in its perspective: what drives a vulnerable super-hero, how does one act in a situation with only his brains and tools, etc. 2. Spider-man: A close second to Batman, only because Spidey is so rarely used to his full potential. Most current comics ignore the fact that he's a low-level genius that used to have to think to get out of a situation instead of just punching stuff until it stopped moiving (like creating an anti-serum for the Lizard, acid-webbing for the Rhino). Not to mention, as of late, his Peter Parker "everyman" problems seem less "everyman" and more soap-opera and his Spider-Man problems are less about science/good people gone awry and more generic supervillain antics. But it is interesting to see a hero driven by the greater good, especially when he's poor and despised by the community. 3. Superman: I just don't find him interesting at all, as a character. He's basically Mr. Anything-You-Can-Do-I-Can-Do-Better and his stories are almost always standard fare. There's no drama with Superman. At worst, there's Kryptonite. And even then you KNOW he'll somehow get rid of it. With Batman in a shit situation, there are 900 things he COULD do, and you probably would have no idea what they are. 'cause he's Batman. Superman would be interesting if the stories followed the incredible restraint he has to show. Imagine having to hold back when you pat Jimmy Olsen on the shoulder, lest you turn him into Silly Putty, or sneezing and turning your apartment into Hoth. Or, as Kevin Smith pointed out, having sex and shooting a load through someone's back. But no, the stories are all about Super-strength. Anyhow. None of those three are my favorite superheroes at any rate. I love Doctor Doom. I don't consider him to be a supervillain. Doom has his own agendas. Doom wants to control the world ... to make it a better place, under his rule. Sure, he wants to kill that insufferable RICHARDS!, but c'mon, Richards is a prick. I also love Nightcrawler. He's just fun and his faith brings an interesting facet through which to view the genre. And I'm a huge Green Arrow fan. I'm not sure if I like him MORE than Bats, but I like him just as much. He's a smartass, no-nonsense liberal, who makes awesome chili. What's not to love? He brings a humanizing aspect to the books that DC is in a tremendous need of. |
storm has always been my favorite super hero....also superman-because he's hard to beat...batman is the worse, he has no real powers just gadgets-lame..................
|
I think that the greatest superhero is Superman.
Not only is he like, the original. xD, but he could decimate any of the other heroes. He's overpowered, and he's simply awesome. I mean, C'mon, the guy has ONE weakness. ONE! And, it's a substance not found on the frickin' planet! xDD |
i think they all three suck, buffy could beat all their asses....but if had to pick,... it would be batman
:) |
=D Not Superman! He's highly overrated~ Mm the problem with this is that it's very very limited between the three heroes, when there are loads of other super heroes out there who other people think are better for various reasons, sooooo yea...this is just taking the three that are currently the most popular *shrugs* Anyway I voted for Spidey because I think he's faced more than Superman and Batman~ Plus I like Marvel a bit better than DC XD

As for his powers ... meh. I find him boring because he only has the one major weakness and that was only introduced to give a sense of peril to Superman instead of having the story hinge on the danger of civilians (and it premiered on the radio show, no less e.e). Besides, his greatest strength AND weakness is his restraint. Yes, he could defeat most any other superhero (except Wonder Woman and Thor. And Zatanna. He's also weak against magic) were he to attack head on, but Batman has handed his ass to him a number of times (and in the "Hush" storyline, Supes was NOT holding back ... he was brainwashed and trying to kill Batman and Bats still won hands down) and I still stand that the right Green Lantern (read: Hal) could have him against the ropes. But yeah. I say his character has great potential, but all the writers focus on his POWER, not his strength of character. Superman as a character study would be awesome. Like Neil Gaiman or Bendis instead of the overblown windbags who usually write him (I'm looking at YOU Jeph Loeb). |
