Bah! There is only one Doom! Doom will not stand for such mockery!

...unless Doom is paid a monthly royalty for the use of his name. Then Doom might be okay.

I like Spiderman the best. I honestly have no clue why. I like his costume alot.

I also like batman too ^_^

VictorVonDoom 04-13-2007 09:18 PM

So I've finally run across my other...... I wonder how this place will fare with two Dooms? If we were to join our forces, nothing could stop us....

At any rate, I do have to agree with everything that's been said thus far. We've turned this forum into a "Bash the Big Blue Spit-curl" thread. And few more tidbits making him less of a hero and more of a jerk, Superman went out of his way to destroy all the Kryptonite on the planet, jsut to make sure he'd not have to worry about it again. There's one small piece left in the world, and it's in the hands of...... ah, shit..... Bruce Wayne. Lex Luthor doesn't even have the stuff anymore. But you're all right that Clark is very vunerable to magic, and that Zatanna, Wonder Woman, Dr. Fate, Darkseid, Captain Marvel, could all decimate him in a fight. And for those of you who didn't know, didn't mention it, or don't keep up, Superman HAS killed someone before. He had to kill Hal Jordan after he became a fallen Green Lantern, killed the Corps. and became the godslayer called Parallax.

So Superman HAS had to take a life before. I just think it's good to see tha people are starting to come around and realize that beings as all-powerful as Superman aren't staples as superheroes anymore. We've got our Batmans, our Punishers, and people are looking once again away from guys like The Hulk and Wolverine, and more toward Nightwing, Cable, Deadpool and Captain America. And just for the record, I think it's total bullshit that Captain America was gunned down for the most degrading reason in existance: to make sell more comic books.

Batman.
He has all the gadgets and he has sidekicks that kick booty too!

Maya 04-13-2007 10:20 PM

O:
Batman!!

VictorVonDoom 04-14-2007 04:38 AM

I dunno about the sidekick angle. Batman is notorious for hiring little kids to be Robins and Batgirls, and even a Catgirl in a different story arc, but none, NONE of them besides Carrie Kelly have either:

A: ) Tolerated Batman's ego and self-rightousness and left him, as the case with Dick Grayson.

OR

B: ) Killed or mortally wounded at some point. Cases in point being Jason Todd, who was beaten by the Joker and left rigged to explode.

Tim Drake resigned as Robin to go out on his own and work with the Titans.

Drake's girlfriend, Spoiler, was fired, and then tortured by Black Mask. Granted she escaped, but died shortly thereafter.

And let's not forget Barbara Gordon, who was shot through her spine in an act meant to force Commissioner Gordon to go insane, crippled Batgirl, who then became Oracel.

Just goes to show you, that often times sidekicks aren't all they're cracked up to be.

And let's not forget Speedy and Bucky as evidence for "Hmm. Maybe dressing a pubescent child in brightly colored tights and sending him out to fight grown thugs (and/or Nazis, as the case may be) might NOT be the best idea."

Carte Ingenica 04-14-2007 05:05 PM

I like Batman best. Hot nerds and their gadgets are always cool (like me).

Meimiko 04-14-2007 05:13 PM

I'd have to say spiderman, because no one can beat that upsidedown kiss ;D

haha, no seriously.. I really think it's a great story that the "nerd" becomes a superhero C:

and of course; I love spiders more than bats >=O XDD

icyMOTHA 04-14-2007 05:36 PM

Whatwhat!? No Wonder Woman!??! O: </3

But yeah, if I had to chose from one of them....eh probably Batman. He has cool gadgets and such. <3

ANDROID 04-14-2007 06:29 PM

Mega Mindy is definatly the best hero ='))

Sylira 04-14-2007 10:17 PM

I think Batman's the best. He's like so much cooler that Superman and Spiderman.

Yeah. But Speedy eventually became Arsenal, and surpassed Green Arrow as an archer. And Bucky, in the Ultimates, never really fought Nazis, just took pictures in a corner and pulled bullets out of Captain America for Stars & Stripes. But I do see where you're coming from.

And actually, in the Dark Knight 2 story arc, among other Batman arcs, they constantly pick on Bats for that. On the otherhand, Superman has had teenage sidekicks, albeit superpowered sidekicks.

Rachel Tamwood 04-16-2007 03:34 AM

There are a lot that are good and a lot that suck. I just stick with the X Men and have VictorVonDoom explain everything else to me.

Emperial 04-17-2007 01:49 AM

You know, as awesome as those boys are, I'm going to have to pick the cast of Heroes. Claire totally badassed her radioactive house and did it with perfect shampoo commercial hair. Now that's super.

angel_of_joy 04-17-2007 02:25 AM

i'm partial to superman, i always have been and i think i always will be. my favorite tv shows have been all superman shows like when Lois and Clark was still on TV and Smallville. i love those shows. so for me superman is the main man because he was born with his powers and had to hide them to fit in to a normal life which i think a lot of people can relate to. the whole fitting in with life but wanting to make a difference in the world. isn't that like the story of everyones life?

vampyface69 04-17-2007 06:34 PM

out of them 3 superman is coz he can fly and is indestructilbe lol!! but the best superhero is between buffy and the charmed ones!!!!!!!!!

VictorVonDoom 04-17-2007 10:47 PM

Who cares if Superman can fly? That doesn't have any bearing on being a great superhero at all. That's as baseless as saying the greatest villain of all time is Toad, because he has a long tongue and can jump really high. You're only looking at what the powers of a hero are, not the obvious glaring faults in the hero's personality.

Superman is as useless as one-legged man in a foot race in his own right. Aside from his glaring personality faults, being a complete and total boyscout, always having to do the right thing, even if it means being a hemmorhoid to society by keeping a killer alive.

Instead of thinking things through, to make the world's life easier, he just starts throwing punches.

And as for the whole Buffy and The Charmed Ones being the best heroes ever? I find that laughable.

Yuki Rosaro 04-17-2007 11:04 PM

Does Batman really count as a superhero? He doesn't have any super-powers, he just plays with a lot of cool toys. >.>

Sepha 08-06-2007 05:53 PM

the best super hero is most likly super man but he is to powerful i like him and all but to powerful he can do almost anything thats why my favirot is batman hes just a normal guy no power and he still manages to kick the crap out of everyone

eternal_black_kiss 08-07-2007 02:10 AM

I would have to say Spiderman. I just love his costume and I would love being rescued by a guy who shoots webs out of his hand lol. He's kind of like a modern Tarzan because he can swing from building to building.

Morien 08-09-2007 02:39 AM

Out of those three... Batman because he's got Catwoman in his world. And he relies on the coolest old guy out there: Alfred.

Other superheroes... probably Nightcrawler. Hee hee. I just love the blue skin and the "bamf" and all that. I like the XMen best out of the sets of superheroes that I've seen so far. ^-^

Alegretto 08-09-2007 03:23 AM

Probably answered here already, but meh.

Of presented List- Batman. Give him prep time, and Batman is nigh-undefeatable. He has the best rogues gallery out of anyone out there by far-- Yes Supes and Spidey have a few good ones, the overall average of memorable villains is damn low. After all, how many non-fans can name enemies such as Zod, Metallo, Kraven the Hunter, and Electro? Hell, I had to explain friggin' BRAINIAC to one of my non-superhero friends three days ago.

Anywhoo. It's Bats. All the damn way. He's pretty much got the best of anything and everything. He don't need no damn powers.

However, of all time, I must say that the Flash is the most powerful/hax character to exist. EVER.

khomi 08-17-2007 01:21 AM

I think Batman is the most, errr, "classy" (in a sense), or maybe "cool" would be right, for lack of a better word. XO

Spiderman (at least from the movies), seems the most, uh, "everyday," and "human," I think. Maybe because Batman is rather dark-themed.

But I think in a battle between the three, Superman would probably win. Because of his amazing superpowers and what not. : > (Doesn't make him the "best," however, heheh.)
