Family Guy or The Simpsons
The argument over which is better, Family Guy or The Simpsons, has been goin on for absolutely ages now and so i decided to make this thread to let you express which cartoon of the two you prefer, and why.
This is also the place to talk about your favourite character from either of the programmes and to tell us all why you like that character the best out of them all. Or alternatively if you like NEITHER of them then tell us all what cartoon you think is better and why :D remember to stick to menewsha rules, as i know threads like this can sometimes end up with die hard fans arguing and taking things just that little bit too far :D lol |
Family Guy. I hate the simpsons. I don't like that one big fat yellow dad or any theme they have on the show.

Me personally i prefer Family Guy
but to be honest theres not much in it, it was a hard decision to make. and my fave character is Peter, just coz he's that much of an idiot i cant stop laughing at him (p.s. meg and louis suck in my opinion :shock: lol |

Definitely Family Guy
no doubt about it Family guy is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more funnier i actually get what there saying although the Simpsons does have its funny moments but Family guy is kinda more realistic and realateable also i just can't get enough of that Stewie Maggie has nothing on him she can't even talk(or plot to kill louise) Family Guy all the way |

Family Guy is consistantly beating the Simpsons on Sunday nights. Though Family Guy is getting to a Simpsons state, where things are over used or boring. And some stuff is just so out there that they miss completely.
I think the best cartoon in this genre is Futurama. It was witty for people on every level of intelligence. Something for huge nerds with all the Star Wars, Star Trek ect. jokes, and something for regular people with all the celeb heads in jars. |
I'm gonna have to go against the flow here and say The Simpsons. Not only has it given over a decade of quality entertainment, but the episodes have a nice mix of comedy, morality, and weirdness. I like the characters better, too. I can't really pick a favorite, since I like them all. I even like Mr. Burns. And Homer may be an idiot, but he truly loves his family. He has some redeeming qualities. Peter has none at all. Stewie and Brian are my only reason to ever watch Family Guy.

I like both. :B My favorite characters from Family Guy is Brian and Stewie--those two make a fantastic duo and comedy team, though sometimes their acts get old. But just leave it to Stewie for some homosexual (or just plain sexual) reference or something.
A character I'm really fond of in The Simpsons is Mr. Smithers. He's just plain hot enough not to like. 8) Also Maggie. The little rugrat. |

lol, i loved the first ever episode of family guy when they're talking bout how easily peter gets drunk, and theres a flash back of him in an icee cream parlous and he has one lick of his rum raisin icecream and passes out face first through a table :D lol
