My Poetry
I posted this in my Quest Thread, but nobody commented.
I would like to get comments on my poetry... especially as I am going to be reading them out at Barnes & Noble at a Sponsoring event they are holding so my school Literary Magazine (I am head of the Art Board) can earn enough money to get full-color, full-binding, and hard covers on the magazine this year. Last year it was about the size of a pamphlet, and most of them were immediately thrown away. We're hoping that with nicer binding, at least people will take it home to look through, give it to someone if they're not a fan of poetry or art, and therefore, less trashed. rebirth. the moon wanes slicing off its dead skin removing the part of it that is infected after the full red glow the blood moon of one night poisoning the sky temporarily rising higher and higher and thinner and thinner until the stars and the sky are all that can be seen and the faeries and the pixies dance beneath the new moon. the rebirth, and growing as the sprites vanish back to their homes and the moon starts to grow building muscle onto thin white bone until it is fat and full and once again becomes infected. ~06 momentum a river of sound, rushing fluidly to fill your ears, your lungs, your glass. drink it down and flourish, and freeze, and drown. underfoot. i find myself here, fragile and lonely, shards of this lost heart picked apart by shadows of vultures; or emotion. thrown into ecstasy this first time, once again being glued back together; tenderly. this still-fragile heart i give to you now, hold it steady. a vengeful idol. put your faith in the bullet, let the lead bite past bone; metallic pain- sharp and deep, to drive eternity home. |
Beautiful poetry.
I really like the poem rebirth, it was very vivid and dark at the same time. I think you'll do very well at the Barnes & Noble reading. ^_^ |
they were really good.
Good luck at the reading. ^^ |
