What kind of computer are YOU running?
I appologize if this is a repeat topic...But, I didn't see it on the front page...
So here it is: What kind of computer are you running? I'm curious at the specs of everyone's computers. XD Mine: AMD athlon 3200+ x64 processor 1gig generic value ram (Bleck!) x2 BFG tech Geforce 6600gt's, factory overclocked (YUMM!) ASUS A8N-Sli socket 939 mother board 350 watt PSU 80 GB, ATA 100 HDD DVD rom CD rom Sound Blaster, Audigey 2 sound card Solid aluminum, cool'n'slient case with 3 fans in the back 21" dell, trinitron, tru flat monitor (This thing is GOD! but a beast) :D ::EDIT:: And I'm running windows XP pro, 64 bit. Yup...That's my baby. Not the quickest out there...But she does, what I need her to do. 8) |
One word: Macbook
I just got the lowest priced white macbook because I didn't feel like my parents needed to empty their pockets for me. I got a computer that would support my needs. I love macs. I was raised on them in elementary school and in my years of high school I just have never liked PC's that much. Plus they scare me if they mess up even a little. If a mac messes up, I'm more calm and normally can find solutions. Less stress, love my mac. Plus since I'm going into a music major I want to have a mac because in many cases it seems they are the right computer to run the media programs with the best performance. You could run them on PC's but I hear it doesn't work out as well. |

I'd write all the specifics, but let's just say crappy widescreen Acer laptop that has a crack in it and can't play games like C&C. :P

My PC is all home built. None of that prebuilt/bought garbage that so many places hand out at overpriced values >.<

All I know is it's a Gateway with a 40 Gig HD.
|
Toshibia notebook with Windows Vista. 1.014GB RAM. 110 GB hard drive I think.
|
Some sort of cute laptop... ;3; I'm not good with computer specs. I'm a Compaq Presario v2000. Says so on the monitor. 8D!
Running Windows XP. |
Lol, I have a sad, and inferior computer that is kind of mine.
It's a 2003 Dell Dimension 2400. It was the cheap one. xD {Obviously, it has XP on it} It originally came with: 128 megs of generic ram (super eww) 16 meg graphics card (eww, so 1999) 16 meg video card 40 gig maxtor hard drive A Samsung CD-R/RW drive and some weird other reading drive and a floppy drive, that I don't remember, I think it's a maxtor too. Oh, and a 2.19 Gigaherts Intel Pentium 4 Processor. xD I put some new ram, so it has 512 megs of kingston ram in it now[can't remember total specs of them now]. xD (I didn't buy it[my grandparents are cheap when it comes to me, but buy themselves a $2k iMac that they don't even take care of much and have already ruined some stuff with], I would make my own awesome box if I did though. xD It would have to be after college though, since I'd end up getting a macbook pro if I was offered a new computer.) |
|
Lol, I don't know all the techy specs, but I'll try and see if I can remember what I did to my machine...
Uhh.. for starters it's the basic IBM Netvista model (my dad works for IBM so I got it uber cheap) and I upped the RAM to about 2gigs. I used to have a decent video card in there, but I started having issues with it so I'm back to my factory default and down in memory. I swear my tower falling off my desk had NOTHING to do with it. *shifty eyes* Or the fact that it was most likely in wrong. I didn't touch any of the other factory parts on this model. I want a new computer to do digital art on. I don't know enough to build a model from the ground up. I just know I need lots of RAM and a good video card. xD |
- Intel Pentium 4 @ 2800 MHz
- Ram 512 - 40GB Hard disk - CD-Rom - Win XP That's mine....I wish I could get more RAM because my pc always processes too slow it's annoying when I work on photoshop *glares* |

Go Mac Snobs! |
I'm running an electrical computer. :o
|
All I've got to say is mine is a Dell & I hate it XD
|
I have a Dell Dimension E310 (which totally sucks, but it was cheap, and my parents didn't want to pay for my laptop to get fixed, so they just bought me this). It gets the job done I suppose.
I don't care about the specs. I think its pretty much standard crap. |
I have a Compaq Presario.
Specs: AMD Sempron Processor 3400+ 1.99 GHz 960MB of RAM 100 GB Hard Drive 100 GB External Hard Drive 256 MB memory CD-RW/DVD Rom Graphics: Integrated ATI Radeon XPress 200 PCI express slot Runs: Microsoft XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 I love my computer. It runs everything perfectly and quickly. Plus, my dad got it for under $1000. |
a crappy latitude intel pentium piece of junk that can't even play a simple card game....it can't support the programming...
|
Toshiba Sattellite M115-S3094 >_O 'tis a cheap laptop... but it runs for me... I'm rebuilding my desktop as of now.. so..
|
Dell Dimension 9100. It's my favoritest thing ever. Well, the 20-inch monitor is, but ssh. Don't let the delicious computer know.
I want to build my own someday, though. With a MASSIVE storage space. 145 gigs is simply not enough for me. |

Model Name: Mac Model Identifier: MacBook2,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB Memory: 1 GB Bus Speed: 667 MHz I also run Parallels on my mac, which means I can use Windows, Vista, or Linux at the same time as my mac. I love it! It works like a charm. I can play the online games I've never been able to play since I have a mac. That's pretty much the only thing I use the PC part of my computer for. I run CS3 on my mac, I like the way it works better. THere's only a few differences, but they matter to me. |
Er..I'm going to post whatever come to mind when I think 'My Computer', okay:
- DELL Screen - Windows XP - HP Pavillon - HP Media Center - Sony Vegas 7 - DVD Shrink :/ |
