I cannot give my style a name. It's simply original x3 But I do make manga though.
I don't know how Tori has it.
My style is still changing though. I haven't found my way yet xD

Tori where did you go =[

ToriKat 03-01-2008 01:12 PM

@Silverblood: Are you selling the style that you did in the first shosho picture in your samples section? :D

I have a million commissions I need to finish here and on Gaia. *distraught* Dx I'm just extremely slow AND I tend to redo artworks a couple of times before I finally ship it off to who it's for. x3

My parents have things to say about my art. >_> It's always, why do you waste your time drawing all day? You're not going to be an artist. And...other stuff. xD That's just the tamest of comments!

I'm trying to slowly do more realistic artworks. I tried one maybe two years ago and never really did it again because people wanted to see ANIME ANIME ANIME. 8D I'll try to find it. It's awful. xD

@xuvrette: *stares at the wall of text* xD

The white in a way was partially out of laziness and partially out of trying to divide the image up into three parts. 8D I can't explain what I was thinking because...it was too long ago and I've forgotten. /getting old

Kidding! It's more like 95% laziness. ^^;;

And yeah, the fluffs are under the skirt. xD I didn't like how it looked over it.

It was originally supposed to be like you're looking down on her. So her waist taipered. My sketch reflects it, but not what I did on the CG.

As for the second picture...I've forgotten who told me flat out that the coloring is especially bad. 8D *just nods and agrees and moves on with life now*

Nuuu, not crying. ^^ I'm just ashamed to associate stuff like that back to me. 83 *pretends someone else drew them*

xuvrette 03-01-2008 01:19 PM

Tori~ Laziness is really the root of ALL evil. again. XD
Oh yeah, and for the fluff under the skirt, there should also be a few stray fluff covering the skirt lines. because well... they are fluffy, and they pokes in every direction. :wink:

and no running away from the art work that makes you ashame. XD Just think of them as a stepping stone, a token that proofs you improve.

Silverbleed 03-01-2008 01:28 PM

@Tori; yes I am :3

Ooh you're on Gaia too? ^^ That's very nice. I'm not really a fan of Gaia anymore too bad, though I like the R&C forums alot. Like I'm only in that forum xD I have all my friends in there.

What? They say you waste your time? You got to be kidding me. My family completely supports me. Maybe that's why I improved in a really short time. Because their support makes me want to do it even more.
And they shouldn't be so mean D: You got talent bebe. And it's something you can get a job with and you don't need to go to school for!! Right? <3
Don't throw away your talent, Tori D: I'm serious. It's smexy.

Ooh and when you do it more realistic, I'd suggest you to make it more feminime when you draw girls. Like... make them look around 20 or something. That makes it easier to let it look realistic.

And I draw anime because... well realistic is like... extremely realistic. too much work.
But if you draw comics, they become just... so cartoony. I still want to draw people. Nice people.
And anime is perfect since it's a mix of realistic and cartoons: easy lines but still a realistic woman.

xuvrette 03-01-2008 01:32 PM

I am sorry to say I am not a fan of realistic, so I can't give my comments on, because I would compare it to anime which is a total different style. Maybe to make people feel better, realistic is not my 'hatest' sytle. I have the urge to tear up de stijl and cubism work. *nods*

besides, Tori, I would think, whether or not family are supporting you, SHOULD not be affecting your hobby or your talent. I would suggest that, turn every negative force from the discouragement of your family to become the power to improve. :twisted:

I am evil like that, thanks. XD

Silverbleed~ Support anime! support manga! ~<3
Japanese type, ok? XD not western.

Silverbleed 03-01-2008 01:35 PM

@xuvre; lol I AM supporting anime and manga <3 It's a very pretty style. It's both realistic but simple drawn.
I really don't like the stupid western cartoons. Especially not the comic books. Or the realistic drawn comic books. I even hate those. They're so ugly =X
Anime is prettyyyyyyy

xuvrette 03-01-2008 01:44 PM

I think anime is totally ANOTHER genre.

but my parents are so bias, they are like, why are the eyes so big? why are there colourful hair? why they have such ridiculous boobs and butt?

and then I would take out western cartoons and retort. How about the yellow skin simpsons have? and the mother of simpson, do people have THAT HIGH hairdo in everyday life?
oddly enough, my parents accept western cartoons becuase they are kids stuff AND parents are more exposed to those stuff. :roll:

I grew up watching western cartoon as a toddler and kid, until 10 years old where I first watch Sailormoon. XD that is the starting point of my future hell obssession.

Silverbleed 03-01-2008 01:51 PM

Wtf yeah? Then you could open a comic book and say the same. "Why is that so.... I mean wtf... NOTHING is RIGHT?"
They should stfu about anime and manga ;;
Well anime is another genre officially, but I use both since some people don't even understand that you mean when you say manga. When you say manga they think of the comics. When you say anime they think of the japanese style.
But it should be the other way around. I think. Lol.

Oh and anime/manga is made for every age. Almost all western stuff is just for children.
Thats another reason I like anime and manga.

And I'm so happy my parents support me I like it. My mother even gave me my first manga ever. That was so sweet!

xuvrette 03-01-2008 02:00 PM

lol, yeah it SHOULD be the other way round. Anime means animation actually. XD so basically western cartoon or Japanese, they are STILL animation. XD manga are specifically for Japanese. People are just not 'pro' enough. 8) *one flash sparks for the shades*

and western cartoons are CHILDISH. which is why giving my parents impression that EVERY cartoons are CHILDISH, so does not suit teens like me. :roll:

but mostly, I think my parents are just wanting me to study more. lol!
besides, do you know that I never play PS2 before? I only saw PS2 for one time around 5 years ago. *giggles* I never touch any of those PS type game ever since 8 years old.

Silverbleed 03-01-2008 02:05 PM

Exactly. My parents though I watched too many 'childish cartoons'. But I convinced them. I showed them a few shows, end my mother even liked Ghost in the Shell.
Ah that's funny. I only have a laptop.
I don't have a PSP, a PS2, a nintendo, a DS,, Wii Xbox or whatever there is.
I only played on a PS2, PSP and DS before. At my friends places.

xuvrette 03-01-2008 02:09 PM

I never EVEN touch PS before. :lol:
I only seen it once when I visit somebody's place, the kids are playing.

but I am thankful, for that, because I would have less obssession to take care of. :lol:

Seito 03-01-2008 09:56 PM

*rolls in the thread*

ToriKat 03-02-2008 12:28 AM

@xuvrette: *steps on her art, slips and falls off* Dx

@Silverbleed: Yeah, I'm not a fan of Gaia myself anymore. With all of the scammings and hackings...I'm terrified to do much on there. >_>; I have a few friends in the Quests forum, or whatever they call it there. But other than that...I just collect items and run back to Menewsha. xD

Yeah, my parents definitely don't support my art. They think I should be pursuing things of real worth. Something that "will get me a job." ._.;

@Seito: *rolls with Seito!* <3

Seito 03-02-2008 01:35 AM

*bumps into TK*

O.O

[ ` K i r e ] 03-02-2008 04:23 AM

Seito 03-02-2008 11:11 AM

@TK no no I don't think so?

*blood spurts from forehead*

xuvrette 03-02-2008 11:17 AM

Yeah Gaia is scaring me now. It's one of the most dangerous things... to be an artists.
they're the best for hackers. I'm AMAZED I'm not hacked yet.
Because I have 6 friends (all artists) that got hacked within 2 weeks.
All 6 of them.
So mean!

xuvrette 03-02-2008 11:40 PM

:lol: No WONDER I am not targeted! XD :lol:
I don't know why, my art is just not selling in Gaia. XD

ToriKat 03-03-2008 12:56 AM

@[ ` K i r e ]: *peers* Ah, there is. 8D

@xuvrette: Oops, my mistake. *stomps on her art* xD

@Seito: O_O Will a cookie...fix...that? *points to blood*

@Silverbleed: I try to stay as low profile as possible where ever I go. xD I'll never be rich. When it takes months for people to get an artwork...you know I'll never do well. 8D

Goodness...and that's awful about your friends. ._. *hates hacker creeps* D<

Seito 03-03-2008 01:01 AM

@TK <33

of course a cookie will fix it!

*holds out hands*
