lol, both DragonBall and SailorMoon are classic at that time. I think at that time, started teh trend of anime fillers, which I detest. Look at Sailormoon. lol. It is only 18 volumes, and look at the anime series, crazy amount!

It's still ongoing. But the story's getting major draggy and the art style super sketchy. I hope they end the Chimera ants arc soon. It's boring. I liked the Greed Island arc much better. =P

lol Understandable. I started reading HunterxHunter halfway myself, when they were just going into Greed Island. One of the more interesting parts of the story. That might be why I took a liking to that series? xD
I liked Get Backers too, in the Infinity City arc with Makubex. It got draggy after and it has just TOO MUCH words for my brain now. lol |

I also like Samurai Deeper Kyo, though that one I read in Chinese cause I couldn't stand the Malay translations. I've read quite a number of series, actually, though I can't always remember their titles. One of the current ones I like reading is 'Monster'. It's about a surgeon who have been accused of murder and is on the run to find the real killer to clear his name. lol Kid is being featured more often in Conan, hm? Maybe because both him and Conan technically have the same target, since Kid IS somewhat looking for the Black Organization too. Hakuba needs more screen time. xD |

Nope. Shinichi's name was never brought up. But he and Kaito met before in real life, without their disguises. Conan should be intriguing enough for Kaito to have done some research on who he actually is. If you're not Ran, it's rather easy to make the connection, with all the coincidences. Besides, it was hinted in the novel, after the Black Pearl case that Conan also knew who KID is already, though maybe not by name. =)

Black Pearl is their Conan and Kid's 1st meeting... Kid and Shinichi 'met' MUCH earlier, but they don't know that they are competing against each other. (I particularly like that kind of story...)

Kaito and Shinichi's dads knew each other, of course. It was Shinichi's dad who 'named' the Kaito Kid after all. xDD
The manga never actually showed them meeting each other as kids, but each other's father/mother, yes, maybe. |
