never played it, probably never will. I can't afford to purchase the stupid game and then pay every month for it. That and I have better things to do with myself then get addicted to World of War Crack

XP

I think because it's addicting as hell, takes too much time, and drains your bank account, also stealing productive time doing other things.

I didn't care for WoW, it reminded me of playdoh people and had bad graphics for my taste..also too many people overextend how grand it is. Maybe it is because I play more realstic, less cartoonish MMO's. But WOW is not my cup of tea. It makes people play hours and ruin there life and social and work life. People have told me they ignored their lovers, responsibilities and sleep because of it.

Well, those are mostly good reasons to avoid WoW...but I play a female troll. I am a legal adult out of college and living on my own, so not under fifteen. The immature part is subject of opinion, but I don't THINK I am.

The problem might be part of the issue of the server you picked. The people you find is drastically different from server to server. I play both factions, so I've noticed how on some servers Horde is the better class to play and other servers the horde are reasonable and Alliance is better.

Eldawen 10-29-2009 02:36 PM

Wow, really? From everyone that says that they won't play WoW because it is addicting, I think that it a matter of your own individual personality. I myself have been playing since it started, nearly four years ago.

I am not addicted, I can take myself away from the game and I have a very active life outside of the game, I work full time, out of College, I volenteer at an animal shelter, I help take care of two young children, I go out to community events(like the High School Football games-My brother is on the team), I have a boyfriend of six year, and yes we do play the game together. I do not play every day, I do know pople who do, but I also know alot of people who play WoW just like any other video game on any other console.

I have found that each server is different, on some servers that Alliance are more mature and on some the Horde. My main server is Turylon and I play horde and I have a great group of friends there. There are always people who will act like jerks and most time there are people who will help you out. I haven't had any issues with spaming so much, and I admit that gold farmers are annoying, but I just report them and move on.

I actually like the graphics for the most part, it has a great storyline if you do the quests and don't just grind, besides the fact that questing is the best way to level, grinding takes to long. I think if people are willing to pay for XBox Live, which I think is a waste of money, they they should at least try WoW before they say it is to addicting or a waste of money.
It also really annoys me with this whole "It Kills" bit. If we really want to go there alot of things kill people: war, famine, cancer....I think if someone is stupid enough to not get up from their computer to use the bathroom or get food then it is really their own fault. I hadn't heard the one about the baby, if it is true that is sick, but the fact that they left the child at home alone to go out is more disturbing to me.

As for the living in the parents basement and being fat thing, sorry some of that may be true, and there are most likely a few out there, but out of all the people I have known on WoW, and have communicated with and met, I haven't know one that was fat, covered in pimples and lived in his parents basement. Most that I know are hard working adults with families, and carrers and lives outside of WoW.

I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and sorry if my rant offends anyone!

I'll stick to Guild Wars, thanks. At least there I've run into a decent amount of really nice people. And the graphics are pretty. And it's actually challenging. And you can do quests and advance the games' plot to achieve your goal level, not by farming like a moron. I prefer games like that where skills > the grind.

Your opinion, it fails. for one reason. Have you played at all? No, didn't think so. How about NOT flaming a game and giving it a try before you even THINK to flam something. =_=

And So I was like... alright, I have always played alliance, I always played a Night elf... what is the compleate opposite?

How about a Horde Female troll...

SUUUUUUuuuure why not... lets try something new...

So I am now playing ona server called bleeding hallows... (nice name eh?)

And It is the same stuff, but I figured out some things...

1)If you play on horde you tend to be under 15 and or just an immature person...
2)If you play on alliance you can often forget that horde players are not just another group of monsters.. they are real players and actually have feelings too!
3)Gold farmers are still and forever and always will be annoying, and a nuscense
4) Spam is now littering your /tell box...
-If I want spam I will check my e-mail thank you....
5)It Still costs 16 a month and if you are on a trial you might as well not play becuase you cant do anything that will help your player become stronger, and it takes away any form of convience....
6)a n00b is a n00b no matter how long you play the game... you act immature... you run around yelling MY PANTS are on FIRE or spamming up the general chat with bullshit you are a n00b and should take a few lessons on MMO curtosity... If you get killed I say.. hell you deserve it..
7)Now there are random party invites and guild invites... hey maybe I dont want to join your guild eh? I got two invites today from Hitlers hero's... OK yea... great guild name.... /sighs

Well that is all I am going to rant for now, if you would like please add in your own words ^_^;;;

All servers a different, And depending on who you even talk to is how immatrue the person is. So you may have had the displeasure of interacting with a bunch of immature rejects, so? Should that bother you so much that you have to make points to never play again? I think your overly emotional. You know what, why don't you try having the love of your life invite you to play then her secret lover sit there and freaking flam you and tell you to kill your self on a dailiy basis and this was all on the ALLIANCE so yeah, think before you even speak (type) and i dunno, how about joining a different server. geez ..

I REALLY hate people like you, those who have a bad few run in's and still sit there on the SAME SERVER and complain about the people.. *rolls eyes*

And yes, i did move to a different server, hence forth where i met the new love of my life <3 he's always there for me and he's sitting right next to me :) *Loves her boyfriend*

I really agree with you! It is really annoying when people flame something that they haven't even tried.....

I play with the love of my life too! ^_^

Eh, no, Once again. Another opinion that fails. You have no idea what your talking about. I know people who play and have jobs that DO NOT neglect them or their families or their sleep. Why don't you try research on LIVE people and not the internet and freaking idiots who sit there and give empty, unneeded, unrealistic opinions over things they them selves had yet to experiance. It's addictive if you like RPG's (role play games) or if you like battling or if you enjoy doing fun and unique quests. Had you even seen half of those quests or even a video of the game play at all?! I didnt think so *rolls eyes*

I don't know much about WoW in-game, and as I'm not planning to start, never will. However, I suppose I can add a reason. It's far too addicting, and not only would it ruin a person's outside-internet social life or career or grades.. it's killed. A person in Japan, for instance, died playing WoW at an internet cafe. In China, I believe, a person- who was considered one of the better players, an elite? - died shortly after finishing some quest or defeating some monster over a period of 2 or 3 days. :/

That is just plain silly, Besides they have banned WoW (certain parts of it anyhow) in China mostly due to the farmers.

And..

Actually it won't i know plenty of college students who know how to prioritize if you think your going to FAIL miserably at even setting a priority over WoW half the time then yeah it's ganna kill you immediately on your social life/grades, ect, ect..

HURRAY! :D

I really wish that people would at least try the game before flaming it. It is only addicting if you let it be that way, it is only boring if you let it be that way. I love my contacts on WoW and I have a great time gaming with them.

Try the game before you start throwing out nonsense on smething you know nothing about....
