I know what you mean. I really should have put the money toward my credit card debt (accumulated over the college year... gas = yuck), but I'm sure had it not gone to Mene something else would have come up.

aww.. well I love this place, I know if I ran one like this I'd waste alot more to keep it up.

It's probably worth more donating here than gaia.. since gaia the people treat you bad, and they're always trying to scam you.

on top of that, the admins have gotten to a point where they don't even bother helping you recover anything.

Mene's atmosphere is very friendly, like Gaia's used to be. I still love Gaia and always will, but I must admit I've been logging on here a lot more often..

you wouldn't even have any luck E-mailing them, and plus I hear everything that does the banning now is a program that checks everything for botting and any other activities not allowed.

I've been a member since '03, and my main account was bad because I received a botted gold trade. You are right; e-mailing is pointless. My friends are trying to encourage me to snail mail them, but I honestly don't think it's going to do a lick of good.

They do have a program that automatically detects botters, so I really hope they get it under control soon. I do know, though, that because of these mass flooders to the site, it seems as if anything is done wrong on your account, you're gone.

I do know that if a sibling screws up, you're done too. And if you're on the same IP address as a mass botter, you're done. I'd heard someone say that their roommate got in trouble botting (they had several accounts going), so she got wiped out too.

I CAN understand Gaia's point of view. I don't know what I'd do if I were in their shoes. I know they're trying to do the best they can with what they're given. It just really sucks when they knock out the wrong people.

See, I used to think things like, "Why did that user give out their password? They know better!"

But now I see people being hacked by keyloggers and all sorts of other malicious methods. It's completely bogus and unfair. :[
