Sorry I keep popping in and out. I found myself working on my day off. I have all these lessons plans to get going for the summer camp program. Theme this year 'A Trip Around the World!' I'm designing little fake passports the kids can make. Every week, they'll learn about a new country.
All the classes, such as art, dramatic play and gross motor will have something to do with the theme. They'll get to put a stamp in the passport each week. I think it's a fun idea, that the kids will love. I hope the director of the center goes for it! (For those who don't know, I'm a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher.) |

Trinity, I'd appreciate any help you'd offer. I have to pick 12 countries for the kids to learn about, one for each week of summer camp, so if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. So far I have... Argentina! lol. I'm thinking of Mexico too, since it's so close and I've been there. |

Im full of ideas I taught kinder and pre kinder for 5 years =) variety I mean different continents and cultures say: Argentina, Canada and Mexico because they are up and down, Brazil , china, japan, south Afrika, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, England, Egypt, Russia see? very different cultures very popular countries ^^ what do you need I will help you, you need to show contrast |

@ Shrang Everyone says I'm too young to be a teacher. Or too male. LoL. Sometimes when a kid starts, the parents are put off by having male teacher, but I find it really helps. All the other people I work with are female, so I like being the positive male influence. I'm the only guy to last to my job. Guys will start working there, and get so wigged about by kids that they quit within a month. I've been there 2 years so far. I've been considering switching my major, and going for an early childhood education degree of some sort, but I still don't know. Too many options in life. Gah! |
Vincent it is sooo cool to have a male influence, I dont agree with the ones who think kinder should be mother like so teachers should be women, no, it is awesome for a kid to have masculine influence too it is different but it is positive and men do great jobs!!! so cheers !!!! <3333

Most of the stuff I can look up online. I did a little bit already. The thing I get stuck on is creating science related activities. They have science twice a week. I never did well at science. I spent too much studying history. Heh. The science projects don't have to be directly related to the country. |
