My favorite game would have to be Final Fantasy X, and XII and Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. ^^
|
Favorites? ... I have too many to list xD
But any of the Tales of series and Shin Megami Tensei games have to be on the top of my list <3 |
videogame?
i haven't played in a while, any other game than ddr, because i like it so much. the best game i've probably ever played must've been dothack infection, considring it was quite the lengthy and interesting mmorpg :] |
Personally, I would have to say my favorite video game of all time is Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Something about playing that game as a kid as stuck with me through the years. I simply love it. Though there are plenty of other great games that deserve a mention, such as Halo, Pokemon, Ninja Gaiden, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy Tactics, Super Smash Brothers, Resident Evil, and so many more.

Does Maple Story count?

I really like Final Fantasy X and .hack. Those are my favorites
The story of FFX is very good and the graphics are incredible. One of the best games I have ever played. I also like Devil May Cry 3 because it is full of action |
Too many favourites to list but.. I like anything Final Fantasy, Kindgom Hearts, Warcraft and Suikoden.
|
hmm... my favorite video game, I'd have to go with Portal. The only thing i don't like about it is that it's too short.
|
Games.
I like the Pokémon games the most I think.

My favorite video game of all time is actually rather obscure... it's a game called Earthbound for the Super Nintendo :) I guess it's also known in Japan as Mother 2 where the series took off more than it did here in the states. It's an RPG and quite possibly the weirdest game I've ever seen, haha!
After that, here are some of my favorites that are pretty closely tied for second, etc: Final Fantasy X, Dragon Warrior 1-4, Kingdom Hearts 1, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (sorry, Majora's Mask came nowhere NEAR this title), anything from the Silent Hill series (especially SH3 and SH4), Rock Band for XBox360, and this other obscure game for Sega Genesis called Sorcerer's Kingdom. Can you tell I'm a game nerd? EDIT: Ooops! How can I forget Castlevania: Symphony of the Night? O_O |
I'd have to say Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2
|
I think my favorite video game at the moment would have to be Tales of the Abyss. It had an awesome storyline, the battle system is fun and I could play it with my sister. I fell in love with the characters and was pretty much hooked until I beat it. There is a ton of extra stuff I didn't know about, so I'm playing through it again, though I haven't played in a while. I even had to look for the manga in order to get more of the back story behind everything that happens.
After that I got hooked on .Hack//G.U. It's not as much fun as Abyss, the dungeons are repetitive and fighting gets boring once you're a really high level. Good thing I play them for the story! I love the .Hack story and I love the characters, they're so real. Plus when I'm playing and I have to check the forums or mail in game, it feels like it's all real. Whoa! So I don't go on for hours, I'll simply mention that some other favorites are Chrono Cross, Legend of Zelda OoT, Kingdom Hearts, The World Ends with you. Just...lots. |
Well it's probably cliche' but I still haven't found a game to top Final Fantasy 7 except maybe for Legend of Dragoon. But I really like Persona 3: FES to so I don't guess I have a favorite so to speak. Well I can't chose just one.

I love the kingdom heart games... but I haven't tried chain of memories because it's on gameboy advance and I never really jumped on the game boy train but now I have a ds lite XD... and if I find the game I'd totally play it now ... but I'm broke because of tuition so maybe a while later XD... I love beyond good and evil too ... I'm really into rpg games but I'm a little wary of trying new games because they cost money so I want to be absolutely sure that I'll love it XD
both need a sequel... or at least like a game for kingdom hearts that tells us what happened while roxas was in organization xiii... and beyond good and evil ended in a way that hinted to a sequel... there's been rumors for both but alas that's all that they were and have been... rumors T___T |
Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube is my favorite.

Dragon Quest 6. Not released in the USA yet, but give it time, it's finally due out for the DS in 2010 or 2011. The game has a plot that keeps you guessing up until you defeat the first big boss, then it's focused on taking down his comrades until you finally fight off the final boss, the Demon Emperor Mortamor (AKA Deathmore or Deathtamoor). The colorful artwork, the wonderful music score, and the well-known Dragon Quest battle system (they brought back Dharma Temple from Dragon Warrior/Quest 3) all come together to create a really fun game. Unless you don't like level-grinding. Then it just sucks.
For those of you who like the Final Fantasy games but only know 7-12, I would seriously consider playing 1-6. The original is fun. The second one used an experimental, realistic leveling system. The third one introduced changing jobs, but was level-grind heavy. The fourth one has my favorite storyline. The fifth one had the best job-based battles of all of them. The sixth had my favorite villain ever - Kefka. He beats Sephiroth any day! |

My favorite game ever is Phantasy Star 4. I've played it soooo many times.
My favorite characters are Rika, Alys and Rune. I really liked the battle system. At the time all of those options seemed so advanced. And the music and characterization was great. It never feels quite as dated to me as some of the other old games. I think it's because I love it so much. |
I think the one I've had the most fun playing is Star Ocean: Till The End of Time.
I love the storyline and all of the extra things you can do make the game that much more addicting. |
I love a lot of video games, but my favorite would have to be Kingdom Hearts II. I love Organization XIII (especially Axel). There is a lot going on in that game.
I also love the Final Fantasy series. Currently my favorite FF is FFXII, but it changes from time to time. They're all good for different reasons. Basically any game that Square Enix makes is really good. Legend of Zelda is also another great series. |
Fatal Frame II.
There really are no words to describe how much I love the game. I may really, really hate watching the ending (I beat the game twice and haven't been able to go past the start of Chapter Nine since), but other than it...it's an absolutely amazing game. There is no other game in the world I'd rather have, and if I could only own one game that would be mine. |
Chrono Cross.
I loved Chrono Trigger also, but there was something about Chrono Cross that has stuck with me for years. Sometimes songs from the soundtrack will randomly pop into my head, even though I beat the game years ago. I just started playing it a second time, to play with the many endings available, and I love it just as much as I did the first time. |
I love Chrono Trigger, I haven't gotten around to playing Cross yet, my brother gave me his old copy but I don't have a system to use it with currently. I'm thinking of getting a ps1 emulator and just using my comp to play the disc.
I'm still addicted to Perfect Dark (N64) which is a superior shooter in my opinion to anything else i've played and Shogun:Total War too (I never got that into the other total war games). |
My favorite video game changes with what I feel like playing, actually. >.>; But several solid in stone favorites are;
Kingdom Hearts I and II. I thought that the story lines for both games were good, and the art, characters, and game style made it simply irresistible to me once I started playing. Though I did have a few qualms with the series. One of them being that absolutely SILLY chain of boss fights that lacked save points between them in KH. Dark Cloud 2. I played part of the first game and rather enjoyed it, so I picked up the second game to see how it was. Dark Cloud 2 is a stunning game, that has me 'OOOOO!'-ing over the mysteries in it. You literally get to put together and create most of the towns you visit, and there are always some specific things that need to get done to right the future - buildings in a certain place, certain items on certain buildings, a certain amount of trees or rivers, specific people living in specific houses, etc. Several times you have to run errands in the first town to get the people you need to accompany you to the town where they are needed. The art work is very pretty to look at and the characters are likable. But I do believe that my favorite part of the game would be the fact I mentioned before- you actually get to BUILD most of the towns you visit. Build as in decide where buildings go and what accessories they have on them, where trees, rivers, lakes, torches, braziers and sidewalks go, THE LOT. Combine that with the story line and how boss fights and mini boss fights work, and it's just stunning how they put everything together like they did. Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy ( I just now noticed I already commented about this game on this thread ) Being an Egyptian geek already tended to my love of this game, but it is a very good game. The art is amazing, though some of the puzzles are a little too hard. There are several glitches and bugs in the game, but most of them can be worked around by restarting the PS2. One glitch I ran into near the end consisted of a platform I needed to jump on not appearing when it was supposed to. That was fixed by restarting the platform, though. One thing I like about the game is that when you run up to a save point to save, the game won't ask you what file you want to save at, it will only ask you if you wish to over-write the current file. Meaning that it automatically chooses the file your playing to save on. Good bye misfile selects and save overs~! -accidentally did that once- Jak 3. I wasn't thrilled with this game at first, but once I got used to the play style and controls I had a lot of fun with it. Jak really seems like the 'silent emo 'why the hell does everyone hate me'' type at first - of course, that might have been because I hadn't played the first two games at the time - but he has a reason for acting like that. Daxter is epic comic relief who had to make some tough choices through out the series. All of the work Naughty Dog put into the last game really shows- not only in the thrilling conclusion, but the way the missions, user play and story line all flow together. Even if you complete the game and then replay it one hero mode, it never seem too loose that sense of story, sense of completion, sense of amazement that you get when you finish. Honestly, they honestly tried their best not to have the game rely on clip scenes, but rather involving missions, expansive landscapes and deep characters. It shows. You don't play for a while, have a five minute long movie clip and then for three minutes only to have another clip. The movie clips tend to be limited to the start of missions, important sections of the game and boss fights. There's my two cents on a few of my favorite games. :3 |
i can't have just one favorite, that's like asking "what's your favorite person."
however i can say the game that has most influenced me is final fantasy X. it was an okay game, really fun and you can waste time one it, but there are games i enjoy playing more. the best thing about final fantasy was the design of it all. the aeons, the outfits, the world itself. the game made me want to draw more and better, and then helped me again in college by giving me inspiration for what i thought was a doomed perspective drawing assignment. i guess that's the game that actually makes me want to make games. and then there's bioshock and f.e.a.r. -foams- i love them. |
