Hey, Snow! :D
Not much is shaking. I did have a Clue party today though in my room, so that was fun. XD We played Clue, watched Clue, and played a few rounds of "Mafia" (then some good ol' fashion Brawl). |
There is a Mafia game?
Sounds fun! I love Clue. I just don't really have anyone to play it with.
That Clue party sounds like a lot of fun!
We used to play Mafia for work training before the semester started for my IT job. <3 |
What is Mafia?
Well in this version, everyone is given a card and whoever gets the King is the Mafia (murderer), the Queen is the Angel, and the Jack is the Sheriff. Everyones eyes are closed until the narrator tells the mafia to wake up, then they pick a victim, then the angel wakes up and picks someone to rescue, and the sheriff wakes up and tries to pick the murderer.
It's pretty fun, but I bet it'd be better if we had more people so we could have multiple Mafia members. |
Sounds interesting. I didn't quite follow, but I'm sure it's fun. xD
Ferra: There were like 45 of us... so we had multiple mafia members.
Cherry: It's a little hard to explain I suppose. xD We always played sitting in a circle and everyone would try and not move so as not to be accused of being mafia. Basically the mafia wins if they kill everyone but themselves, the sheriff wins if they managed to pick out all the mafia members before everyone else is dead. And no one knows what anyone else is until the end of the game. xD |
@Cherry: Well there's more to it than that. XD But it's hard to explain. You learn pretty quickly by actually playing it though.
EDIT: @fiarra: Wow! :0 We only had like 8 of us, so the rounds were pretty short. I was killed a bunch of times and never was the Mafia. XD But I was the Angel twice and the Sheriff once. |
xD Our rounds went on for aaaaages. It was supposed to be a teambuilding exercise and our supervisor never would arrange for enough time to get it all done. So we always just kept playing and would skip other parts of the training.
That kind of reminds me of Assassin. Like the game that was held during the event.
Insane Cricket is trying to organize another round if anyone's interested. |
It's actually not similar to that at all. ^^; I played Assassin last time, but I think I'll pass. I have school work I need to do and some written projects I want to work on for Mene.
It isn't? It sort of reminded me of it.
I mean, they don't like, operate the same way, but they're similar types of games. I think so, at least. >>; |
Well the way it's played is entirely dissimilar; however, I suppose you're right that the people who play as the Mafia are trying to kill as many people as they can, so that is sort of close.
I just didn't find it similar since I was always a townsfolk, angel, or sheriff, so my goal was to pick the killer(s) out and convict them before they could kill others. XD |
*considers* No.. not really anything like the Assassin game run at the Halloween event. ^^; Especially since that was based off another sort of game.
*has no time to play more Assassin* xD |
Ehhh, I can't really put to words how they're similar. >>
Assassin  I wanted to play that game when Knerd was hosting it, but again, I can't. Curse you school! and my short attention span!!
*chews on Ferra's thread* Enter the raffle!!!
Ooh, taste good? May I have a piece? *nomnomnomnom*
Ooo! I'm definitely going to. :3
xD I saw the list of things being raffled and my first thought was "omg must tell Ferra!"
Oooh, the raffle's back? Yay, I bet I'm eligible this time! :D *skips off to look*
Thank you! :D I might not have seen it otherwise.
