I've been to Northern California. Yep. We have Stockton,Truman,Pome De Terre,Longview,Rain Tree,Winnebago,and Bull Shoals Lakes. I've played in a Salt Lake in Oklahoma(it's what remains of the sea that covered parts of Missouri, Texas,Oklahoma,Kansas,Colorado,Nebraska,South Dakota,and North Dakota.

I caught that on the CBS World news. I also heard that a local guy was digging a pond and he discovered the complete skeleton of a Columbian Mastadon. It was a rare find because in Prehistoric Missouri the only animals around were the American Camel,Rhino,Sloths,and Bison. A local museum scooped it up for 175,000 dollars plus had his pond dug and asked to do the work plus look for more skeletons.
