xD We only had two games for it too. D: And I don't remember them being particularly good.

Well, to get the hairs, I just take all the items off my avatar and go to the my avatar page. I put every color of every style on my avatar and save each one. But that still has the body, so a friend of mine crops the body off of the avatar. Then all I have to do is file it in the correct folder.

And right now, I just have to change one number in the code to set how many hairstyles it will read in and add one more line to tell where it should be positioned on the screen. :3 I just need to have all 50 hairstyles before I try to do that else it could crash the program. D:

I guess so. xD Although I was little then and didn't think so well. Not that I think well now. :p

Seriously. xp Although now that I've got the framework down it's a lot easier. The really hard bit is coming up with the base for everything to fit into. :3 Like right now it isn't that hard to add hairstyles. Or items, for that matter. But coming up with the code to handle all the neatness was... tricky. :3 I have over 1000 lines of code for this project. o.O And it grows every time I add new features. xD 'Course a good quarter of that is handling the menus and putting the items up on screen, but it's not like I was sitting around doing nothing those weeks when I was working on this.

Just working on a cg for Yume, reading some of the entries for her V-Day writing contest, helping my husband count money for a fundraiser they did at his workplace, and trying to decide what I want to watch next on youtube. Always multitasking!

Oh gosh, I love your avvy creator. I need to link to that thread. I'm having so much fun creating looks in it and planning ahead. It really does make Mene-shopping so much easier. Things I thought would look nice together don't and things I never thought of pairing together actually work nicely. So it's nice having that as a resource.

I'm enjoying reading the entries. Someone just linked to all of them, so I'm trying to read them little by little and comment because a lot of times, in writing contests and stuff, especially when there are lots of entries, sometimes people don't always get comments on their stuff. I want to enter too, for a friend, but the story I'd be writing is kind of long - one I've been brainstorming for years - and unless the deadline's extended past tomorrow, there's no way I can write it. I've just not had the time to.

I'm glad you and other people are finding it useful. ^^ That's most of the reason why I chose it for my final project. :3

I'm a short story writer. I can get scenes, or just scenarios down easily. It's just tying everything together that's hard. That and the fact that I don't plan my stories hardly, so they get really disconnected if they last any amount of time. >.<

Do you have anything here on Mene in the lit section?

The whole drabble idea - I can't seem to stay within the word limit. My drabbles always end up being short stories. I have a hard time tying scenes together sometimes, but when I'm working on long stories - novels or novellas, I try to have a vague idea of where I want to end up and then outline them chapter by chapter because more often than not, there'll be one tiny detail or piece of conversation that'll end up steering me in a completely different direction than I originally intended.

Yesh I do. They've been buried by now, but I have a drabble thread, a thread for my novel, and a thread for some of my old short stories. None of which have been commented on at all. So I kinda gave up. ^^" But I can find the links if you want. :3

That's how it tends to be for me, too. Although my outline is very loose and mostly consists of scenes that I want to work in later. >.<

Well, I'll definitely dig them up when I have a chance and read through and comment on them. I think Seito's compiling a list of everyone who has drabble threads in one of the stickies down there. I'm just using my drabble thread to brainstorm ideas for my novel. I've been stuck for over a year on it. I think because I'm at the execution scene of one of the characters I love and I've never been able to get my mindset dark enough to write it.

Did you get a good grade on your final project, btw?

Well, I got an A in the class, and it was worth two homework assignments, so I guess that I did well enough. xD I could prolly ask my professor next semester, though. I'll be in another class with him. ^^ And one of the assignments will be to make a web browser. o.O

I think a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. Possibly a Psychology minor, but that'll depend on how my psych course next spring goes. ^^
