I realized that I hadn't ever actually told how it works. To open the avatar creator, click on the file named Avatar Creator.jar in the folder Avatar Creator. It will probably have a little cup of coffee as it's icon. Do not open it through Winzip or WinRAR. It will not work.
In the avatar creator, there are a number of menus.
The furthest left is the File menu. Currently you can strip your avatar of all clothing with the "New Avatar" choice, or quit the program with exit. You can also quit the avatar creator with the x in the top right corner.
The next menu is for gender, and there will only ever be one choice there. However, you can switch to male if female, or to female if male using that.
With the skin color menu, just click on it, and choose one of the options, and your avatar will have that skin tone.
The next menu has a number of hairstyle options. Choose one of those, and in the right panel, there will be a large number of colored squares. If you click on a colored square, then the hairstyle of that color will be on your avatar. Choosing a different hairstyle will automatically switch it to that hairstyle, with the same color.
Under the clothes menu, there are a large number of options, corresponding to different layers on the avatar. If you choose one of those, then a number of thumbnails, corresponding to the different items will appear in the right panel. If you click on a thumbnail, it will be put on the avatar in the top left panel. If you click on the thumbnail again, or on the thumbnail that appears in the bottom left panel, the item will be taken off. If you choose an item from the same layer that you have equipped, the one that you had on earlier will be taken off and replaced with the new one.
The Collectible and Event Items menu works the same as the clothes menu, except that the monthly collectibles and event items are put there to make looking for them easier. If you try to put on multiple items from the same event or multiple collectibles, then they will all stay on so long as the items are on different layers.
I hope that this helps people, post here if you have any more questions. :3
