Help to Promoting Menewsha at Anime Conventions
We all want Menewsha to do well!!
So I was thinking, why don't we all have a basic flyer designed that we can all print off, photocopy & give out at Anime Conventions? Good idea no? But we'd need a good design! Anyone got any ideas? Also what would it say? A catch phrase, or maybe just say what it has to offer? Your suggestions are appreciated! |

1. Menewsha, Worlds Apart 2. Menewsha, The future is here 3. Menewsha, My chibi life 4. Come to Menewsha, we got cookies 5. Menewsha, where friendships are form 6. Menewsha, come play with us! Whatever. XD Movin on, maybe the banner could have the admins, staff, and some users all in a group. Mike and Josh could be in the middle, holding a Menewsha sign, or something. I don't know. :P |
I think it is a good idea, but I couldn't think of a catch phrase or banner design as of yet.

Maybe there should be pictures of some avatars with whalecow or bunnyfish LOL.

Whatever the banner or flyer was, it would have to be pretty bold and noticable, otherwise with everything else going on, people would walk right by the flyer without even noticing. I like the idea of a bunch of users and staff all in a group and some avatars. Maybe one of the awesome anime artists here (or even several, to get some diversity) could draw the avatars of the staff and whatnot in whatever pose, probably something crazy to catch attention, and then we could grab a couple of the "best-dressed" avatars to put on the flyer.

I think it would be a good idea, but we would need more resources to deal with the influx of people. I really don't want this turning into Gaia though.

Good call, and good idea. However, I'm not too good at GIVING actual ideas for...as you said a catch-phrase or slogan, ect. So...right, good luck, and kudos. xD |

I know when I went to AnimeExpo in 2004 I collected TONS of flyers and such, but when we got to our hotel I went through my entire bag of free swag. I think if people saw the nifty logo and a bit about what the site is they'd definitely be interested. I might be going to AX this year, and if I do I'll certainly be on the lookout for Menewsha fliers! The idea of putting some avatars on the flyer sounds good, that way people could see the type of items and art on the site. 'Menewsha, the avatar community.' |
Oooooh... Does anyone know if Mene will be making an appearance at Kumori con in Portland Oregon? I'm going this year (My first Con <3) and it would be soooo cool to see Mene stuffs there!

What about making cheap pins? Not alot but enough to get some peoples attention.

You could make big posters that have little cards you can rip off! Less obstrusive than A4 paper, IMHO. Probably more cost effective as well.
The poster could have the logo up top, then the BG could be a blue gradient just like the site. Perhaps a few of the avatars on it as well. It'd just need a short blurb--no more than a paragraph--about Mene, then the cards would have the URL and maybe a bit more information. |

Well, I mean, some of the promoters of Mene who could go to the conventions in the U.S. could be not necesarily like, staff members, but volunteers or something? o_o :shock: :o :? They could be e-mailed the offical poster design once it's figured out. I dunno, just a thought. xD
It's a nice idea, and it'll make Mene get even bigger. XD |
