I'm just not into it because I don't like most of the stuff that is supposed to be "in fashion." It's not a social thing for me... it just doesn't suit my tastes.

When I say social I mean sociopolitical, haha. But beyond that I don't care about what's "in" or "out" or whatever but at the same time I don't completely disregard clothing... it's just that I can buy things from a thrift store, or a mall store, mix them up, whatever... or make them, although I haven't done too much of that just yet.

Well; you know.. If you can sew really well, then you should put it to use!! Buying clothes can be expencive; where making them likely only costs 20.00 or less. Im working on a dress right now, that im guessing would be worth 200.00, just because of the length. :) Im paying a total of like..8.00 for the fabric, and I got my sewing machine for my birthday <3! Im good at freehanding things, rather than following a pattern, but sometimes if I need some guidance I'll go to wally world (AKA Walmart) and buy a pattern. Those CAN be preaty pricey. :P

Yeah; I'd be more trying to find the way to make my own patterns or else just guess at it. but I'm not an expert sewer, haha. I'm kinda rusty. But I recently sewed a vest that I wore to a concert... I only sewed just a litle at the sides, but I did it by hand, backstitching, because my sister was using the machine. We have an old steelhead Singer. I like to buy fabric that's on sale, or remnants.

I'm not that great at sewing... I can make curtains and pillows... and that's about it :sweat:

Alot of my stuff is a one peicer; with detail sewing. Thats why I like sewing; because my ultimate goal is to do it as easy as possible, keeping my projects as clean as can be. I love a good fiting; one seamed dress <3! I'll deffinately be posting my finished project here, so you can all see it XP

I don't like dresses either... I have to wear skirts sometimes, but I guess they're not too bad... I've kind of gotten used to them, they're almost like a lifesaver when it's hot and I can't wear shorts for whatever reason.

Haha, well there's a difference between dresses and skirts xP. They're comfy around the house and stuff but I hate having to be wary of the way my legs move and I don't want to always have to wear stuff under them.

I'm not to fond of skirts. They have to be really pretty or it has to be a special occasion. Then I normally bring a change of cloths and strip as soon as I can. I'm going to feel odd wearing my wedding dress. As soon as I can I will change I'm afraid I might fall on my face in it. >.>

I would have been happy going to the justice of the peace but my mom had a fit. My sister eloped and like a week later said "oh yea by the way I'm married" Soo because of that my mom said if I elope I die. I'm the last chance to do a big wedding so I'm just going along with it. :: Shrugs :: I was the person growing up saying I'm never going to get married. I'm never going to have kids. Lol I have a 2 month old baby and I'm getting married in five weeks.

Eh, you guys have time, don't worry about it and just have fun. I met my husband when I was 18, but that doesn't mean it'll be the same for you guys. My mom didn't meet my dad until she was like 26 or something like that I think.
