Yeah it is. That's an old movie isn't it? Is that the one where they are going around in... australia? Or something like that... I forget. The reporter? And that guy... Maybe I'm thinking Crocodile Dundee. lol

Kat Dakuu 12-12-2009 12:54 AM

I'm really not sure, but there's a lot of people with guns and crocs. eating green jewels. idk what's going on...

Zephiyr 12-12-2009 12:56 AM

Yeah that's it! And there is a cave... with like... water... and they reach in and find it? Right!? Maybe!?!?!?!

Kat Dakuu 12-12-2009 12:58 AM

yeah, that's it! And there was an Easter bunny statue inside? The movie just ended.

Zephiyr 12-12-2009 01:00 AM

Yeah! It's an interesting old movie, indeed. I want to watch Crocodile Dundee now though! That guy, he's awesome. Or Flipper. He's in that one too. Chops a coconut with two fingers! O_O

Kat Dakuu 12-12-2009 01:05 AM

I don't think I've seen Crocodile Dundee. I'm not that into old movies, but sometimes they just catch my interest.

Zephiyr 12-12-2009 01:07 AM

It's pretty cool. Crocodile Dundee is an australian badazz. He like, rules the place and his badness is just like second nature to him.

ToriKat 12-12-2009 06:00 PM

*yawns* I was supposed to be at staff duty...even now. Twenty four hours worth of sitting by a phone and letting the sergeant pick it up if it were to ever ring. But I was called in to work in the H1N1 clinic...then when I was going to leave, surprise! Two soldiers in my unit were sent to go to staff duty as punishment. And even though there was a mandatory fun party going on...my squad leader was nice enough to just send me home to sleep.

My sleep schedule is so screwed up. :3

Oh god...I'm almost done with season 2 of The Office. x_x I guess I'll finish watching Monk after this. xD

*eats cheesecake*

Zephiyr 12-12-2009 06:03 PM

Mmmm. cheese cake. I can't say that I've ever watched the Office.. or Monk. I got disconnected with TV when I was in Italy and Korea. I came back like, Heros? What's that? And.. amazing race? huh? lol

It's nice to be off work, no? :P

ToriKat 12-12-2009 06:12 PM

I love Paris Baguette. xD Cakes are so good there...And I'm not really a cake person.

In...high school, we stopped getting cable. So I hadn't watched a thing that wasn't on ABC, NBC, FOX, or CBS. But now I'm watching all this online.

OO! You went to Italy too?? Where?

Haha, yes. I go back to work tomorrow night with my roommate.

Zephiyr 12-12-2009 06:17 PM

I was in Venice, for 2.5 years. I just... up and moved when I was 19. I needed a change and that was what I decided on. Wasn't really supposed to stay there, was only supposed to be a month, but then I decided I'd stay. Find a job, a place to live, and just see what happened. It was interesting. I really didn't like it that much when I was there, lol. I missed taco bell! lmao. So if there is anythign you'd like to know about Italy, just ask ;)

I'm gonna go out to wal-mart now and watch people start to scramble around to find that last gift. Lol.. its so funny to see people stressing out. I did most of my shopping online.. or rather I WILL.. still haven't done it yet. I'll do it when we get paid. lol.

Well well, I shall return :D

ToriKat 12-12-2009 06:29 PM

Wow...Did you know Italian prior to going? xD I can't see myself just randomly picking up and going somewhere new. Oh wait, the irony. The Army tossed me in Korea.

I don't even know where to begin on asking about Italy! How was the weather? What stood out a lot in life in the States versus Italy? Memorable experiences? xD

*laughs* I've been shopping since I got here to send stuff to friends...now to pack them up and send it all to them eventually. ^^;; What's keeping me is the art and letters I'm trying to include...*sighs*

I'll see you soon then! :D

Clair Voyant 12-12-2009 08:27 PM

Hello, everyone. ^^

Zephiyr 12-12-2009 08:32 PM

Yeah I'm convinced that the Army doesn't want my in the USA. lol... especially since I just got back here and now I'm going to Afghanistan. lol. I'll be back, some day.

Let's see. The weather in Venice is very chilly in the winter. Doesn't snow much but it's nice when it does. It's really hot in the summers there but Lido is NICE! That's where all the stars go. Most houses don't have A/C. Not that advanced. Rich people have carpet in their houses, poor people have marble floors. lol. There were always markets. Loved those. Get all your fresh fruits and veggies and pick up a roasted chicken. You get ok deals on clothes and stuff too. Everyone is so petite though. I'm really tall. hard to find clothes that fit anyway.
I met a few stars... Hayao miyazaki, got his autograph. He's so ... short! lol. Orlando bloom and kirsten dunce(sp?) They look like they do in the movies. Orlando is a little shorter than I thought though. Saw george clooney. He wears a LOT of make-up. That chick that is his g/f, was actually standing beside me when she gave him the flowers that had her number in it.. if only I had thought of that. lol. Nicole Kidman stayed in my hotel. Let me tell you, she is scary looking in the morning. And the drummer from U2 and Sting with his family. Talked to them for a bit.
Most memorable was when I thought I was going to be killed by gypsies for trespassing in the building that they were trespassing in first. Long story.. ^^; Want to know?

Kat Dakuu 12-12-2009 09:50 PM

hello everyone!

that sounds like way to many adventures for me! And my sleep schedule is more screwed up than ever since my mom doesn't see it fit to let me sleep to or past noon one weekends. *exaggerated sigh*

Zephiyr 12-12-2009 09:55 PM

Holy CoW... I can't sleep that much even when I try. I was up at 08 this morning. Hehe.. darn internal clocks I guess. 6 hours of sleep is plenty! Didn't end up going on that mission. Both she and I were far too gone to be driving. Safety first :P

Dystopia 12-12-2009 10:59 PM

>>; I haven't been sleeping much lately. Got around 8 hours of sleep over the last five days.

Kat Dakuu 12-12-2009 11:05 PM

hey Dystopia. that's an uber cute sig. you have!

I'm allergic to mornings. I usually got to sleep really late and my internal clock avoids morning unless its me going to practice or something at 3 in the morning. let me tell ya how much fun that was...!!

Dystopia 12-12-2009 11:12 PM

:D Thanks. That's my OC. Art by whizky.

Lol. I have to get up early. I have gym an hour before school starts for most other people. xD;

Kat Dakuu 12-12-2009 11:15 PM

most of my classes are in the afternoon, but next semester will be different. I have a few classes at 9.

Dystopia 12-12-2009 11:19 PM

xD I have classes in the evening, too. Three hour class every Tuesday and Thursday, from 6:30 to 9:30.

Kat Dakuu 12-12-2009 11:24 PM

sounds slightly torturous to me. I hate the fact that my drawing classes are 2 hours long.

woo, I'm going to find some food and dance around or something if the house is deserted. cya later.

ToriKat 12-12-2009 11:47 PM

@Clair: Hi there! :D

@Zephiyr: Poor people have marble floors? O_O Holy cow. xD

Oo, that's one thing I love about Korea...the markets. xD So convenient to pop right outside of post to get some fresh fruits and vegetables. Even if the commissary is right next to the barracks...I find some stuff cheaper and better tasting outside.

O_O! Wow, you got Hayao Miyazaki's autograph? That's so cool. I'm impressed by all you've met! You must have been staying at a nice place. xD

D: Whoa, actually, I would like to hear about that...!

*waves hi to Anna and Kat* Yeah...I used to be a certified night owl. And then...the Army started waking me up anywhere from 3am till 5am. Ruined it! Ruined it! xD Until they tossed me onto nights. 8D

Dystopia 12-12-2009 11:49 PM

@ Tori - xD Poor Tori. That's another reason I'd never be able to handle the military.

Zephiyr 12-12-2009 11:54 PM

ok so one day I was riding around on the vaporetto, which is like a boat/bus. I decided to go a way that I had never been before and check out what was on teh other side of Venice. And there was one stop that I had been itching to explore. It was called Bacini, which means little kisses. After about a 15 minute ride the vaporetto pulled up to bacini. As I was exiting, the Venice soccer team was getting on. Apparently they use a feild close to the stop to practice. Pretty cool, I though tto myself. This place might hold some promise. I get off the vaporetto and touch down on dry land. It's quiet. It seems that everyone who had been at the stop had just gotten on the vaporetto and now the place was deserted. About 100 meters ahead was a huge wall. To my left were some buildings that looked a lot like military barracks but they were all condemned and grown over. To my right were old houses, they were being worked on but didn't look like they were in any condition for people to be living in.

Shall I keep goin? :P
