I've applied to subway, target, two walgreens, the bake shoppe, and the Art of Glaze so far. those are all my choices but my mom wants me to apply to just about every single place around here and I live in a big city. lots of fast food here.

@TK: The sad thing is I've already hurt my back before. So I'm basically just trying to keep from RE-injuring it. :sweat:
@Kat: Yeah, they didn't even really care if we got overtime until just a couple of weeks ago. I was getting around 45 - 50 hours a week, and suddenly they're worried about keeping us from going over 40 hours. And yet, they don't want to hire any more guys to help us out, either... :roll: |

@Kat: Well, it's not like I injure myself on purpose or anything like that. ;) It's just that most of the jobs I qualify for are manual labor type jobs, which carry an increased risk of injury. :sweat: I was a warehouse worker the first time I injured my back, and I was off work due to that for almost a full month. :XP I'd really rather not go through that again.

@Kat: Couple years back, it was close to impossible to work at Wal Mart, the only real retail place where I lived. I had better luck getting Subway.
...So what's Art of Glaze? xD @Ultima: Do hot packs work at all to relieve some of the pain? Or those heating pads? |
art of glaze is a small shop like Imaginations (if you've heard of it) where they have premade ceramic figurines of all kinds and you go in and paint them. this store is more expensive because its glaze and not just paint. its really close to home too. I can walk there.

@TK: Eh, they help loosen up the muscles in my back, but they tend to be a bit uncomfortable for me at the same time (since I tend to put off a lot of body heat in the first place).
By the way, how's that pic coming along? :P |

Yeah, I need to get up early to take my pickup to the shop to get the ball joints replaced on the front end. Last thing I need is to have the front suspension fall apart because of the bad ball joints on it. :sweat:

um...yeah, sounds important. my brother is going to take my dad's car in to be inspected because its more than a month overdue.

Oh, yes. Definitely important. The ball joints on my pickup are so bad that I'm afraid to drive it on the highway for fear of the ball joints completely going out and my front wheels falling off at 65+mph. So I take city streets all the way to work. Not only does it take me twice as long to get to work, but my pickup eats through gas quicker because of all the stop-and-go traffic all the way to work. :XP
Yeah, the tags on my car expired last month, too. I need to get the tags renewed, but I have to fix the hub assemblies for it to pass the safety inspection first. :sweat: |
