lol, so I see you squeezed that paper out just in time, Kat. xD
Man...I'm sooo upset they cancelled soccer on us at the battalion organization day. :/ A whole day of competitive sports and I didn't get to do anything but watch and help out in setting up things. |
Wow. I got home from work yesterday around 5pm, stayed up long enough to eat some dinner, then went to bed. Here it is, 7:45am, and I'm just getting up. Oh, well. At least I got plenty of sleep.
Better that than my night, Dimitri. -sighs-
Bad night, huh? Sorry to hear that.
No sleep at all.
Which makes it the seventh skipped night in September so far. If it becomes another 40+ hours awake thing, that'll be the sixth this month so far. -sigh- |
I had the same thing happen to me the night before last. I stayed up all night after a full work shift just to go in and work another full work shift. Plus, I tend to have fits of insomnia every now and then. So, I know how you feel there.
Yes, it seems that quite a few Menewshans have that problem. I am sort of used to it anyway, it's just a very bad time for it, because in real life, shit's heaping up.
Yeah, I can understand that, too. There always seems to be some kind of RL shit. If not one thing, it's another.
Yeah, and for me it's always piling up with short periods of a few days that are calm... the proverbial calm before the storm.
I haven't had a calm day at work for... *thinks* ...about 3 months? Of course, I guess that's to be expected at an auto shop. :P AS for calm days at home, I normally only get one or two of those per month since I normally have shit to take care of on my days off.
With calm I do not so much mean "not busy" as "no unexpected shit happening". Not busy... has been quite a while for me too.
Ahh, ok. Well, things have been pretty much a cluster fuck at work lately anyway for over the last month. We've lost all our experienced workers in the shop except for me and one other guy. The rest are all newbs that don't know what they hell they're doing. Well, there's only one other experienced worker, but he has no speed whatsoever, so he's pretty much the same as the newbs.
Ouch, I can see how that would be extremely stressful.
Yeah. Especially since me and the one other guy are pretty much doing all the work ourselves. And the manager knows that, so he makes sure to schedule us on separate shifts to make sure that there's one fast, experienced worker there at all times. I can understand why he does it, but it's really frustrating to me and the other guy anyway.
Well, understanding the why is important. Still, it must be indeed quite frustrating for the two of you.
It is. We both feel like we're doing all the work by ourselves with no backup for when the shit hits the fan. :XP The only upside is that our paychecks look better since we get paid partial commission on the work.
Well, good luck with it, then, I guess. Let's hope that either the newbies will learn fast, or that you guys'll get a few more experienced workers there.
Mmm, hopefully. I'm not going to hold my breath, though. The newbs that we have show no inclination to learn or get faster, and it seems that all the people that've been getting hired have little to no experience in the job to begin with. :XP
Well, I wish you luck.
I've got to go, back later. |
Ok. Have a nice day. Or try to, anyway.
*stretches and yawns* goooood morning!
Good evening, Kat. ;)
Evening....? uh, hello Sil. how are you today?
Yeah. 7.21PM here. xD
A little tired. Logically, since I am awake for about 33 hours now and yet I can't sleep. I just tried to take a nap, but seems like my body wants to complain it's tired, but not actually sleep. -rolls eyes- |
oh, its 12:30 here. where are you??
what?! sounds like you need to go to sleep naaooo!!! O_O |
