A new computer? Why is it more difficult?

I got a mac and it's just time consuming to get my stuff moved on to it.

we're taking two days to drive up to school and then I have orientation after that.

I used them for one of my computer classes last semester. right now I'm trying to install the equivalent of word, powerpoint, and excel.

What kinds of classes will you be taking this semester?

haha. I wasn't planning on getting one, but my dad was pushing me too. he said it's good for artists. *shrug*

I'm taking Sculpture, painting, a writing class, and a class on the connection between faith and reason.

There's no Mac version for Painttool SAI, so I could never convert.

I'm going to use the computer labs at school to do any art stuff.

I think it's either just a foundation creative writing class for poetry, short fiction, and screen writing, or the class the focuses on editing those. I can't remember which I signed up for.

editing is really important though! the first draft of a piece of fiction is the perhaps the biggest step, but not the longest. it MUST be edited and viewed and shared and edited again to ensure....well, many things. I actually love editing.

I know it is, but I just don't do it. xD I mean, my editing process isn't...right. I'll type some, go back and reread what I did, add things her and there, go back to the end and type more, and continue. When I complete it, there's usually no more changes...because...ah...it was a fluid process. /excuses

I do that too sometimes, but especially then you need to read through it all at once to make sure it still flows since the process of writing it didn't all come out at once.

That's what my friend is for. /kidding

:yes: friends are good for that. I have some grammar nazi friends that I like to send writing to because they can catch comma miss-usage that I'd never notice and the likes.

It gets to the point that no matter how many times I read something, until I say it out loud or print it out, I can miss something. <_<;; My brain sees the right thing in my head even if it's wrong on screen. D<

So yes...friends are amazing. xD Good that you have them there to help too!

I always read out load. it's the best editing tool! plus its fun to talk like my characters.

phew! it's tiring running up and down the stairs. I'm currently packing and still messing with my computer. computer is upstairs and so are my clothes. my foot locker is downstairs. -__-

Oh, lucky you about not having it before 9 am! But I do love my college here - it's small and I like it. :)

Thankfully she seems cool. She's from Russia and seems to have a great sense of humour. :) Or at least that's what I can tell from the bit that I've spent with her alraedy. :)

Awe! Heat is evil! I can't wait till fall hits - pretty colours, and cooler weather.

Hey Kat! Sorry! I had to go and do a few things. I'm just settling into being back at school. How're ya doin' hon?

I'm doing alright. just busy packing. I start the drive back to school tomorrow.

Back to school eh? I've been back for a few weeks now and I'm still getting used to it.

Kat: I moved back in yesterday and I start classes in about an hour and a half. xD I'm totally exhausted. :sleep: My darned phone woke me up way too early as one of my friends texted me. xD
