@ GH: Yes, but some people would have more to trade than others depending on where they live, what they do (eg, raise pigs, raise cattle, make clothing), and others would have less to trade depending on the same things.
Then the issue of how much of one item should be traded for another comes up. Those who control the majority of the trade would make it more difficult for others to get their hands on some of the larger items which are of higher value to living, this benefits the lives of those who already have more. Also, there would be people starting off with nothing to trade at all, making it very difficult for them to obtain the things they would need to survive. And say that someone's entire flock of sheep gets sick, and that is the only way for them to get other items and is their main source of food. What does that person do? Would they not be thrown into poverty anyway because their living situation has changed in a way that prevents them from getting what they need? Having no currency wouldn't eliminate poverty, it would only change how you end up there. |

In my experience, I have found that active, welcoming threads are the ones that do the best. I cannot offer now, but I can make banners. I have to finish these papers first. I shall be able to create some for you this weekend. Free of charge, naturally.

I think that the only reason why he is acting like that, is because it's the only way that he can deal with the pain. She's the one he's imprinted with. All of his loyalty and affection... He knows that she is rejecting it.
Remember their relative age though, Jacob would have been older regardless ;) That's just who Stephanie wants to play him. She didn't get her wish for the other characters ;_; Oh, but you are forgetting the most important part! He gave her up. That proves that he loves her the most. Edward can't do that. He tried and failed. Though it's killing Jacob, he left her go so that she can be happy. Do you think he's coming back? |
I can't believe it. I only made 85 gold from fishing today. I tend to average at 130 gold. ;_; I got so many misses it was crazy. I know it's because I didn't fish yesterday, I just know it!
