I like it, but I don't visit wi-fi spots very often, and I don't really know any besides hotels and McDonald's so yeah, and I don't think I can use the browser at home...so it wouldn't really be a good buy for me.

I bought it and it SUCKS. The lack of images, video, and sound don't make for a very good browser. Also, in free wifi spots, it doesn't connect well, I guess, except for when you're at McDonald's because that's the only place with the official Nintendo Wifi spot as well as the Nintendo USB connector which I have. However the USB connector only works when it's connected to a computer that does have a good wifi connection, so for me Nintendo DS browser is good for use at HOME, but then it's pointless because you've already got internet.
At my university, the place is supposedly loaded with Wifi connections everywhere so it SHOULD work right? It does with laptops. However, with Nintendo DS Browser, WRONG. It was pretty useless for me and NEVER connected at my university every time I wanted to try to connect to the Internet. It does detect connections, and even though there's a full-bar one (you know, when the connection's green with all bars and not red with no bars?) it turns red anyway and disconnects immediately. So there's no point to buying Nintendo DS Browser unless you just go to McDonald's all the time. Just stick with your wifi laptop or home computer or whatever you've got with access to the Internet. |
i don't own the browser but i do have a ds lite... anyway i think it would be pretty pointless buying it to go online if you need internet anyways to go on it PLUS it only displays text and images so it'd be pretty lame except for a site like deviant art or menewsha

I was considering getting a PSP for the internet capibilities, but if I get this, then I could just wait on the PSP and still be able to use the interwebz on the run. I'll definitely have to check it out. ^^
