I usually just walk off and come back either later in the day or the next day. Rogue Galaxy, however, has peeved me so much I've left it for more than a month unbeaten. There are -ten- final bosses, and no saving in between. I got the final of those ten bosses down to within an inch of his life each of the four times I've played (beating the other ten easily) and then suddenly he becomes immensely more powerful at the last second and defeats me, nevermind that the other nine were easy and that I'm well over the level that should be required at this point to defeat the game.
At some point I'll probably pick it back up, but that point is not soon. |
i swear a lot.
get real mad, yell, sometimes i'll smack the tv. i have a terrible temper! if i can't beat it after a couple of tries, i'll go on gamefaqs (i really don't like to though, i don't like to cheat). OR, i just throw down the controller and never play that game again. there are so many games sitting on my shelf that are waiting for me to finish them. |
Lol, I'd get really mad..D: It's not really likely that I try again because I give up easily so usually I have the master in video games to beat that boss.
And that master in video games...would be my cousin. xDD I love challenging video games though...even if I get angry.. n_n;; |
I was ten and playing Kingdom Hearts.
I got to the second fight with Riku where he's possessed by Ansem, and the guy is practically invinsible. After being killed about twenty times, I started screaming at my television "WHAT THE FXCK?! WHY WON'T YOU DIE ALREADY?! RAWRGH!" D:< |
I grab my action replay and cheat.
|
LOL when playing KH1 i never got through the 2nd Riku fight, so i just try again a few times, & if i cant beat it, i stop playing for months xD & then when i play again i usually beat it lol
|
Well, when I start failing at a game I usually try a few different things to see if it will work. If that still isn't a success and only gives me a headache, I'll turn the game off and look for an online walkthrough. Usually I go "Well, duh!" after I realize how silly it is.
If the walkthrough doesn't work, I stick the game in my closet to collect dust and never pick it up again...^^; |
I do one of 3 things:
1. Try again until my eyes bleed 2. Give up and don't play the game for a long time 3. Level up until my eyes bleed and THEN try again |
i resort to endless hours of levelling and then try again. if it isn't a game where you can do levels. i try three or four times. then i try looking up strategies online. if there isn't a strategy online for it. i get my boyfriend to come over and do it for me. if he can't do it. then i give up on the game for a month or two. then i come back to it and repeat the process.
|
Most of the time I look up a guide online and try to find some easy way to beat them instead ^^;;.
If there's no way, then on to the tedius mass hours of levelling up O_O;. |
I usually try and save before I go into the rough areas that I know of. If I croak before taking out the enemy I try other weapons/ammo or I look for a strategy guide.
|
Whenever I can't pass something like that I usually get REALLY angry and stop trying after a long time, then I go back about a month later a end up passing it :3 |
I start cursing the boss I'm attempting to beat.
"hfdkashfRIKUSTOPDOINGTHATCHARGETHINNNGG!" Then I proceed to continue playing it in my rage, thus, beating the boss. All that adrenaline actually helps me. I dance about the room when I finally beat the game. XD My dog usually looks at me strange. |
For me it really depends on how long I have been trying to fight the boss. There will be times I will get to a boss battle and he will kill me with one blow because I'm not strong enough. Then comes the aimless wandering around of killing things and leveling up until I am strong enough.
If I have been fighting for a while I tend to yell obscenities at the TV. I know, not a shining moment, but still... I feel better :) |
I just stop playing for a while and come back later.
Like on Guitar Hero 2. When I sucked at that game and couldn't beat "Carry me Home" on medium, I just quit and came back a few hours later to try again. Then I beat it. It usually works. |
After sitting there swearing quitely and begging the vid gods to let me just pass that area.. I normally just start pacing and walk around and try not to get mad and smash things. After I'm over that feeling and pretty sure I wont turn into the hulk, I'll get my brother to help me, he's a video game god and can beat pretty much anything.
|
If I've spent more than an hour trying to get past one area, then usually I'm very frustrated and that when I throw the controller into the wall or hit something. Its not the smartest thing and I dont' do it so much anymore, but sometimes you just want to beat that freaking level and it doesn't happen, and I refuse to stop playing a game because of one area, or use online guides, because that's almost the same as cheating in my oppinion. Although normally after I walk away for a minute, relax and try again I'll get it that last time.
|
I try for awhile.
Then I bug my friend to death until he beats it for me. He beat the last boss and I need him to beat this one too. XD I am a pathetic gamer. I used to only need the guide at the most! Oh and am the only one to notice that Bradygames guides aren't as detailed as they used to be? |
|
I usually play untill i beat it,or if it pisses me off too much,I shut off the game,And then retry Later,Or make my brother beat him(only if he got passed it alredy.)
|
If I keep dying, I usually end up screaming my head off, before punching a pillow
After a few hours of sulking angrily, I go look to see if any guides can help me, give me tips or something. Then I go level up some more (if it's possible) then I try again and the whole process repeats until I beat the fricking boss. The guy with the spears from KHII was a nightmare... if it's like puzzles or racings stuff, then I try and get my brother to do it for me. |
I just give up or let my sister beat it. She's a God with video games, though she does get pissed a lot during playing. XD It gets kind of funny, actually.
|
I'll yell and scream and turn off the game and throw something.
Then I'll turn the game back on, fight the same boss or whatever, then repeat angry cycle when I lose. Cycle repeats some twenty times or until battery runs out, then the game is turned off and replaced by a different game, thus forgotten about for many, many months. If the boss is won by some strange chance, games is continued like normal. |
xD
If I can't beat a boss, I go off and lvl up for a few hours. Then if I still can't beat him, I quit the game for a bit, then if a month later I want to try again, I pick up the game, and I end up beating the boss the first time. xD It's weird but that's how it works with me. I remember when I was playing FF7 when I was like..8? I couldn't beat this boss, so I stopped playing. And like, 5 months later I got bored so I picked up the game and just played for fun, and I beat the boss on the first try, I was like, WTF? xD I think it's because I wasn't so stressed and I could think clearer. Maybe. O.< |
Yesterday, I played Capcom Vs SNK 2 at an arcade. Got to Ultimate Rugal. I believe I spent a total of five dollars on that fight. (At twenty five cents per credit. D: )
