"No kidding..." Laharl flumped to the floor gasping for air.

Dagger and Mint, who were hovering over the RosenQueen counter turned and pointed over at the hospital entrance.
Flonne stood there...it seemed she was making preperations in case one of them should come back dead.

Anna immediatly stomped off towards the hospital... and grabbed Flonne by the hair. "WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE YOU THINKING, YOU IDIOT!?! I COULD'VE GOTTEN KILLED!!"
She stamped a foot on the ground, looking absolutely irritated... perhaps more than when Laharl almost blew her ship up.

((*stabs compy for being slow* Rrrrr...))

"WHA!!" Flonne did a back-bend to avoid having her hair ripped from her head and looked at Anna as if surprised to see her there.
"But.." She pointed out.
"You're alive.....you and Laharl both." She smiled and laughed.
"You two worked together! I'm so happy for you two!"

(Oh, goodness, mine is lagging so bad, which is why I haven't responded to your message yet; dA updated their layout tonight, it causes really bad lag, turns out...)

"We did NOT work together, for your information! Do you think we're that undignified?", she snarled. "We both fought our way to the portal on our own, and as you can see, we got out fine! What did you think would happen, huh!?"
She pointed a finger at Flonne, her pupils looking like they'd shrunken some... Anna truly looked psychotic. "You've gotten on my bad side, now, stupid angel! I could've gotten killed back there! I woulda lost my ship!"

Flonne tilted her head and placed her finger against the side of her mouth thinking a bit.
"That's funny, if you two fought seperately, why was Laharl dragging you when you two came back?" Dagger and Mint looked over curious.

(XDD It's seriously just... urgh, the layout's really confusing, too D| And then I could'nt even get Mene to load, there for a little bit XD)

Anna paused for minute, and then crossed her arms. "We got into a fight on the way out. He wanted to leave but I wanted to stay and fight the rest of them but he made me leave. That's the only reason he was dragging me out."
She nodded matter-of-factly. "But we both made it out alive without working together, that's the point. I don't know what you were thinking would happen."

((What'd they change? it looked fine to me before.))

Flonne sighed, her countenance falling.
"Ohhhhhh..." And she was sure she'd had them, stranding them there.
Laharl's held breath finally came out in a whoosh..for a minute there, he was sure Anna wasn't going to have an explination...then how could he live with the whole Netherworld laughing at him for working with...with ANNA?!

(The entire thing, honestly; the message box is a nightmare, especially if you have a slow computer. Everything's very large and disorganized looking, now, and it's hard to use. I liked the old one, myself... I doubt they'll change it back, though.)

Anna nodded. "Just know that if you EVER do something stupid like that again, I swear I will freaking KILL you! You understand that!?"
Anna herself was also very glad that she thought of an explination. She would've been hearing so many jokes about it if anyone had found out the truth.
"Geez! What were you even tryin' to achieve, anyway?", she asked... or, moreso, demanded.

((Hmmm...mine looks normal...if you call this normal XDDD))

Flonne sighed, still bending backwards (She really, reallllyyy wished Anna would let go now)
And looked up at her.
"I..just figured, it would be for the best, if you and Lord Laharl started fighting together...I mean...won't you have to cooperate when we find Asylum?"

(XDD It might not have switched over for you, or something...)


Anna blinked, letting go of her hair, finally. "Peh, you don't get it! Pirates don't work together with other people... that and... Martha would pick on me...", she mumbled, crossing her arms and looking away.
She would'nt even pick on me if I was fighting alongside someone my own gender, too! Annoying woman...
"Anyway, we can do fine on our own! Teamwork never gets anyone anywhere."

Flonne blinked.
"Is that what you're worried about?" She asked righting herself.
"What Miss Martha thinks of you?" Anna was right...Flonne didn't understand, better to swallow your pride and live, than die in vain.
Dagger and Mint looked over to one another and shrugged, teamwork was fine for them.....maybe it was only a bad thing for people in charge.....

Anna grew quiet, one of her eyes twitching slightly. "N-no! Shut up!"
She turned around, stomping off elsewhere... which was to the portal, which she then stared desperately at. "C'mon, Dimitri, give me a break..."

Abel waited until Anna was out of earshot and approached Flonne. "I know exactly what the problem is..."
Seemingly having a hard time not laughing, he continued. "Martha's always been bad about picking on her for about everything... especially if it has anything to do with a boy. Anna hates that sort of thing, and Martha knows it, so she'll end up ripping on her for ages about whatever it is."
He finally laughed. "It's just like I remember it. Nothing's changed a bit, not with any of them..."

He glanced over at Anna, who had sat down on the floor near the portal, looking rather frusturated and wore out. "Martha's still picking on her, Anna's still stubborn and rude and Dimitri's still giving everyone on the ship trouble. It seems like after all this time, things would be different, but they're not."

Flonne knelt, and studied Abel curiously.
"Oh....I guess..." Here she paused to look over at Anna.
"That's why she's so defensive...still." She set her brow and gave a little 'humph'.
"Better to be picked on and alive right?"
She smiled and patted Abel's head.
"You really miss the ship don't you?" She asked quietly.

"Hm...."
Abel sighed. "I do, very much. But... my time there is over. I don't know why I still think about it. There's really no use in it, after all... it's not as if thinking about it will ever do me any good."

Anna, in the meantime, was tapping her fingers impatiently against the floor. "I wonder just how long I'm gonna be stuck here...?"
Glancing over towards Laharl, then towards Flonne, and then towards the odd, purple penguin thing that constantly followed Flonne around, she realized just how weird these people were... and that it was even weirder she'd had any sort of contact with them at all.
I mean, demons? Angels? Exploding penguins? Just how often does someone like me enounter stuff like this, anyway?

Flonne sighed sadly.
"Why is that?" She asked.
"I miss my home all the time, but I still think about it." She stared off kind of wistfully.
"Whenever I start to really miss Heaven, I think about all my friends there, and I start to smile, it makes being away from there a lot easier...don't you think?"

Laharl looked over and sighed...it was one thing for Anna to be yelling at Flonne, another for her to sulk, he slowly picked himself up off he floor and made his way over.
"Whatcha thinking about Anna?" He asked hovering over her shoulder just when she seemed to be lost in thought.

"Haha, well... it makes me sad, Flonne.", he responded. "I miss the people on that ship more than anything else. Those were my best friends... practically my family."
His eyes took on a rather blank look as he stared ahead of himself. "All that's... gone now, though. If anything, until all this is over... I'll still be able to watch them go about their days, if only for a little while. And seeing them all doing well is a blessing in it's own way."


Anna halfway jumped when Laharl spoke up, and she saw he was closer by than she thought. "Nothing! I'm not thinking about anything. My mind's blank... as... usual."
She paused momentarily, before speaking back up. "But I guess you're not so stupid that you're going to think I'm telling the truth about that, right?"

Flonne's heart sank a little in her chest. She slumped over her knees and sighed.
"I'm sorry....I didn't mean to....I mean...if it was painful for you...." She looked away.

Laharl's eyebrow cocked and he shook his head.
"Nope. So really what were you thinking about?"

Abel chuckled slightly. "It's alright, Flonne. I think I need to cheer up a little, anyway... I'm far too depressed, aren't I, now?"
"Infact, Flonne... since I've made friends with you, it'd seem I've cheered up a good bit. Considering before, Etna was making me clean toilets..."

Anna snorted. Stupid, nosey demon boy...
"About how crazy this whole situation is... I mean... just how often do humans meet demons, anyway? And... angels and... exploding penguins..."
Sitting her chin in her hand and propping her elbow on her knee, a sigh escaped the teenagers lips. "And then, after Asylum's good and gone, all of you will be gone, and I won't see any of you again... not to menion you'll be gone with all of my treasure."
She hadn't thought about that, for a while. "It'll take me freaking years to get all that treasure back again! What was I thinking!?"

Flonne looked up, a little better to hear that Abel was at least a little happy.
"That's nice to know...." She giggled a little and smiled.
"That you consider me a freind." She nodded.
"Etna can be a bit of a slave driver can't she?"

Laharl thought a minute.
"Not very often come to think of it, I mean, you came here looking for me....Prinnys are pretty commonplace here, but to a Human they're kind of odd, and Angels..." He looked back to Flonne.
"After that one, I don't think I ever want to see another again." He grinned.
"Oh I'm sure with all your ruthless ways, you'll make it all back in no time."

"Boy, can she.", he said, his eyes half-lidded. "I never want to look at another toilet again, after all that..."
Convinced that she saved the toilet-cleaning jobs for him in particular, Abel wasn't exactly fond of Etna.

Anna snickered. "Boy, was I disappointed... I thought the Overlord would be MUCH cooler but I met you!"
She was obviously teasing, even though it was... true. He was short.
Very... very short.
"But, that aside... since when have you been being nice? Geez, I thought you were supposed to be a demon..."

Flonne smiled and nodded.
"I never cleaned toliets, but it sounds bad."

Laharl stuck his tounge out.
"So, you're not much of an Imposing Pirate either!" She was his height after all....well, okay, a little taller...but not by MUCH!
"Who said anything about being nice? I'm gloating over the fact that I get it ALL!! All your treasure! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!" There went that laugh again.

Abel grew quiet, as if he were having some sort of nightmarish memories. "Human toilets are one thing... demon toilets are an entirely new experience..."

Still sitting on the floor, Anna crossed her arms and made a slight 'hmph' noise. "I'm STILL taller than you are, and I'M human! What kind of demon are you supposed to be, anyway!?"
When he burst out laughing, she grumbled; there went that annoying laugh again... hers wasn't any better but she wasn't going to admit to it. "HA! What if, when all of this is over with, I DON'T give you my treasure!? THEN what're you gonna do, huh?"

((D: Whai not?! *pauses at open window*))

Flonne's face grew white.
"Ew."

"Doesn't matter!" He cried.
"I'm the Overlord! No matter what my size, no Demon in the Netherworld can hold a candle to ME!" He grinned sadisticly, grinding his forehead into hers.
"Then. I'll. TAKE. it." He said through clenched teeth.

Abel nodded. "Ew, indeed. I'm surprised she hasn't got YOU cleaning, yet... and, I've heard the Prinnies in Celestia get PAID! How is that even fair!? When I DO get paid it's very little!"
Finding himself ranting, it took him a second to calm himself down. "Come to think of it, Anna didn't pay me much, either... yet I had to clean the ship all the time. No wonder she and Laharl get along so well, they're both absolutely cheap..."


Anna looked like a mixture between horrified and annoyed when Laharl grinded his forehead against hers. She furrowed her brows and grinned widely. "Oh REALLY, now!? Because I can tell you from first hand experience, I've seen your behind get kicked!"
"And HOW exactly are you gonna just take all that treasure, huh!? I'd like to see you try, shorty!"

((*Puts it down* ¬.¬ you mean 'you and the rest of my Rp buddies won't' XDD))

Flonne nodded.
"I suppose the Prinnies there have it better than down here." She looked over at Anna and Laharl...bickering again and sighed.
"You can say that again."

"OH YEAH! I SEEM TO REMEMBER YOUR'S GETTING HANDED TO YOU TOO!" He growled and bared his tiny fangs.
"ALRIGHT I WILL!!! I'LL TAKE ALL YOUR TREASURE AND THENSOME! JUST BE CAREFUL I DON'T TAKE YOUR SHIP AS WELL!!" Sure, he had no intention of doing that, but still his pride was on the line here, he had to at least talk big.
