The Silent Doll 08-13-2007 07:01 PM

Demitri sighed. "Fine. Wow, you're awfully bossy..."
He sat back down, since it was apparent he'd be here for a while. "I don't think there is a true good or a true evil. Think about it. Angels think they're all good and all this, but... turns out they've mistreated others because they think they're completely bad. Isn't that bad, too? And the demons. From what I've seen, they're not completely bad. Like, Laharl doesn't seem to be as evil as he lets onto. Humans... are amazing, though. They don't have that particular set of morals that either Angels or Demons have and make themselves follow strictly, so humans actually follow what they think is best. Whether it's 'good' or 'evil'."

He grinned a bit. "For example, Anna... she's not a bad person, is she? She's not mean. But she's not a perfect little lady, and she has motives that make her hold grudges against people. Like, she can't stand guys. In truth she's jealous of them. Among pirates men always got more respect and it annoys her... so she instantly doesn't like men. Is that right? No. But is Anna bad? You should think on some things, 'Angel-in-training'. See if you really want to be an angel after all... where you'll have to follow a strict set of morals and values. Why not act on your own, sometimes? Like... all the ways you've helped Laharl, Etna... would'nt be smiled upon by the angels, would it?"

Hatch 08-14-2007 02:32 PM

Flonne tipped her head to one side innocently as she tried to absorb all that Demitri had told her. No true Good or Evil...but then...what was the purpose of having a Celestia or a Netherworld...there was a reason for both of them...to distinguish the consequnces of the choices one makes in life. If there wasn't any true Good or Evil...what was the point of either world existing?

"Anna...isn't bad persay...I thnk she makes the best of a bad situation...she takes charge of things and keeps her crew safe. She does her best despite what people thnk." She smiled.
"As for Laharl...I was sent to help him. By Seraph Lamington."

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 02:40 PM

He laughed a bit, flopping back on the bed. "Think what you will, but you just said it yourself. Anna's not good or evil... apparently neither is Laharl, from what I've seen of him. Speaking of Anna..."

He grinned again, glancing towards her. "So, when do you think Asylum will pop up? Maybe she's already here? Maybe she's not coming? Also... if I were you, I would'nt make too good of friends with Anna or anyone here, same goes for your two friends and everyone else you brought. After I close up the portal I opened for Anna to get into the Netherworld, I don't know if you guys will see her again, after all."
It was as if every subject entertained him, even the more depressing ones.

Hatch 08-14-2007 02:50 PM

"I don't think that's very funny, Asylum's a terrible foe from what I've heard." She furrowed her brows and almost glared at Dimitri.
"And even if we never see Anna again, it's worth it to be friends now. Even if we are seperated when we go back...we'll always remember her. So you can take your advice and eat it!" She smiled smugly misusing one of Etna's retorts as she turned to open the door. She stopped just inside the doorframe.
"You sound like you want to keep Anna all to yourself." She turned and smiled.
"Don't worry, even if we make really good friends with her, she'll never forget you, I'm sure of it." Flonne adjusted her wings and walked out.

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 02:55 PM

He lay there, laughing. He'd just tried to drop her a hint; he knew exactly where Asylum was, after all. "Oh well. Fine, then..."
He twiddled his thumbs. "Besides... Anna can just be depressed when they're gone, anyway."

Speaking of Anna...
"ARGH! W-WHAT... AGH, IT'S HUGE!!"
Anna stood out on the deck, the orange haired teenager from her crew standing there, holding up some sort of turantula by it's leg. "Yeah. It's cool, right?"
"NO! NO... IT'S... GET IT AWAY FROM ME!", Anna yelled, stumbling backwards. "THROW IT OVERBOARD!"
The girl sighed, tossing the spider off the side of the ship. "Geez... You've really got some spider related issues."
Anna shuddered, sitting down. The ship was far enough from the port. Right now she just wanted to get away from the creepy orange haired kid. "Gah... anchor... A-ANCHOR OVERBOARD, NOW! SOMEONE DO IT!"
Once again it'd seem she'd lost control of the volume of her voice.

Hatch 08-14-2007 03:02 PM

Laharl stared.
"Wow....she's really...really scared of those things isn't she?" He released the anchor and placed his own spider on the rope going down. After all he'd wanted leverage, not to have Anna completely incapacitated. He headed over to where she had sat down and quirked an eyebrow.
"Are you going to be alright there Anna?" He asked.

Jerk. Flonne apologized in a silent prayer, but she really thought he was. Making it sound like it was a bad thing to be friends with Anna, then making all those comments about Asylum...that wasn't very nice of him. She wondered what Anna had thought imagining Demitri in the first place. Well, she wasn't about to let him scare her. She popped up on deck just as the chaos had died down.
"What's going on?" She asked a passerby.

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 03:12 PM

"Spider.", the passerby answered quickly, being the orange haired kid, who was heading back inside.

Anna looked up at Laharl. "After a few minutes, I guess..."
She rubbed her forehead, shuddering. "Ugh, I hate those things, and there's so many of them around here it's not funny..."
She swatted her hands a little, twitching. "I'll... live, though... although admittedly I might have a heart attack if I wake up with one of those on my face."

Abel quickly ran up to Flonne, tripping a little on the way. He reached up, tugging on her sleeve and speaking quietly, since the girl had already went back inside. "Did you meet him, or learn anything about him?"

Hatch 08-14-2007 03:36 PM

"Come on." Laharl said firmly offering his hand.
"How well do you spar?" He pulled his sword from it sheathe and stared.
"You need to get your mind off that spider and you can't do that just sitting there like a lump."

"Oh." Flonne said not really understanding what was the big deal about spiders. She leaned down next to Abel and nodded.
"Yes I met him...he's not at all pleasant, but is it wise to be speaking like this out in the open?" She looked around trying to find Anna...it might upset her if she heard Flonne call Demitri a jerk again.

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 03:47 PM

Abel laughed. "Anna knows his downfalls, trust me. Nonetheless he may come off as a jerk but, he gets worried about her alot. She is... pretty young, you know? I remember his main worry was about her making friends. It wasn't like he did'nt want for her to, but... she gets really attached to people."
He stood there, as if thinking. "I've talked to him before. He's got an odd train of thought but he never told me what he was."

Anna raised an eyebrow, pulling herself up with use of his hand. "Thanks... and, uh..."
She scratched her head. "I guess I'm okay. I train with my crew members alot but I've never trained with a demon. I guess I need to, though, what with Asylum and all that. I guess I should get my axe, then..."

Hatch 08-14-2007 03:58 PM

"Oh...okay then." Flonne plopped down next to Abel and crossed her legs before she pulled him into her lap. Really she couldn't help herself...he was so like a plush toy that she sometimes forgot that Abel was a Prinny.
"Well for starters he isn't really an imaginary friend at all. He came from Celestia and was banished after taking Justice into his own hands." She crossed her arms and closed her eyes as if thinking hard.
"He thinks everything is so funny, it's like he doesn't care about anything at all. I can't figure him out. He's too weird." She sighed and looked at Anna and Laharl.
"So what if she gets attached to people? She's making friends right? And if she's making friends she'll never be alone."

"Alright Anna, don't think I'm going to go easy on you just cuz you're a girl." Laharl lay his sword on his shoulder and smiled. Finally he was going to get some exercise instead of jsut waiting around.

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 04:06 PM

Abel sighed, figuring he'd just sit there. It was better than the multiple attacks he got from those drunk women in Tortuga.
"Well..."
He looked towards Anna and Laharl. "She'll be sad when you guys leave. After all, she's still bothered by us not being around anymore. Anyway..."
He looked up at Flonne. "So he's from Celestia? Wow, I would'nt had figured that. About his personality, though... I guess he just tries to stay cheery, to kind of conflict how Anna can get sometimes and cheer her up. But I could be wrong."
He laughed. "Maybe he's just crazy?"

Anna stopped, as if that line had really, really ticked her off. Which it did.
She glanced back at him, grinning, almost maniacally. "Don't think I'll go easy on you... just because you're a boy."
She pulled out the axe... except, wait, no, that was a different one, from a different plank. It was certainly an axe, but the axe part was only on one side; the other side looked to be a pirate flag, and the top of the flag pole had some sort of odd, metal contraption on it. Actually, the whole flag pole was metal, and had some sort of strange grip on it, which Anna closed her hand around. It was bigger than herself, still, which made it a bit bizzare she could handle it so well. "Alrighty, then."

Etna watched the two from the perch. Anna and Laharl seemed to get along awfully well... well, er, more or less, actually it looked like he'd just ticked her off but it was hard to tell with Anna.

Hatch 08-14-2007 04:21 PM

Flonne smiled.
"She might miss us when we're gone, so that's why we have to make the best of our time here." She looked down her lip stuck out ot one side.
"As for his personality I just think he's crazy." She couldn't help but think back to the manical grin he'd given her when she first poked her head in. Another shudder went down her spine ane she rubbed her arms as if cold.

Laharl crakced his knuckles and smiled.
"Never expected you to." He quirked an eyebrow at the axe and shrugged.
"This is going to be interesting." He took off like a shot sword dragging just inches above the deck...Laharl might have been sparring...but he wasn't about to forget that Anna could have him thrown overboard just like she had that spider.

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 04:33 PM

Abel laughed again, finding the conversation a little funny, more so her opinion of Demitri. "It's hard to tell. Not alot of people talk to him so everyone's got a different opinion of him. Either way..."
He nodded. "It certainly does seem that Anna likes you guys. She's alot like Laharl, though. It's sort of creepy... even though admittedly Laharl's pretty annoying..."
Abel scratched his head, staring out at the ocean. "There again, Anna can be annoying, too."

Anna grinned, taking a hop off backwards. In a quick movement, she twisted the grip on the axe; apparently it activated something different than expected.
The end of it opened up... and, flames shot out. She kept it a good distance above her deck, but nonetheless wanted to see Laharl's reaction to it, in order to get an idea of how Asylum would be affected.

Etna looked a little wowed from above. Wow, a flame thrower? Geez, that was one heck of a weapon. She'd have to ask Anna where she could get one, later. Might as well get a souvenier of some sort while she was here, after all.

Hatch 08-14-2007 04:46 PM

Flonne watched as Laharl charged Anna and she tilted her head again.
"Well...what do you think about him?" She questioned blinking as Laharl's vassals began to gather around the combatants.

"WWWHHHHAAAA!!!" Laharl dropped to one knee and rolled out of the way...and into the side of the ship. He licked a finger and put out the small flame on the end of one of his antennae and growled as he stood to his feet.
"That does it!!" He cried using a Blade Rush.

"GO PRINCE!!" Mint cried as she sat atop Dagger's shoulders, all his vassals had gathered to watch the fight cheering their Lord on as best they could....by taking bets on who would win.
"Hey Abbie, betcha 10 HL that Anna cold-cocks him." The Blue mage glared.
"Betting is beneath my standards..but in this case you're on."

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 04:50 PM

Abel seemed entertained by the fighting, but kept his attention on talking to Flonne, enjoying her company. "I don't think he's bad. If he were completely crazy, he'd probably be hurting people on the ship, but he hasn't laid a finger in harm on anyone. Infact, he tries to befriend the crew members who can see him. He even helps Martha with the cooking, I think."

Anna made a slight 'eek' sound, jumping out of the way just in time; the blade did catch her sleeve, ripping it even more than it already was. At that moment, Anna swung the axe around at him.

The two Prinnies gathered around also, and Etna continued to watch from above. This was pretty entertaining.

Hatch 08-14-2007 04:57 PM

"I suppose that's true...and he did keep Anna hidden away from Asylum...but you wouldn't know that by talking with him."

Laharl blocked the Axe behind his head and twisted it around tossing it back towards Anna hoping that while her grip was still on it that she would lose her balance.

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 05:09 PM

Abel sighed. "Talk about it. He's really weird--"
Martha practically busted out of the inside of the cabin, spotting the two sparring. "ARGH! THERE'S A FIGHT AND I'M MISSING IT!?!"
She scrambled up to the group, staring. "GO CAPTAIN! KICK HIS SORRY BEHIND!!"
Demitri poked his head out the door, spotting the two. "Oh, my."
He approached Martha, watching still. "I can't believe I was missing this."
Martha elbowed him. "Eheh, she's gonna kick his butt, I know it."
"I'm sure she will.", said Demitri, making some sort of odd hand gesture. "Since, you know, she kicks butt."
"Well said.", responded Martha. It seemed to be getting a bit dark out, the sun starting to fall below the horizon. "Geez, today went by fast."

Anna did stumble a bit but managed to, rather than completely turn with the axe, bring it up over her head and switch it around to the other hand. "Nice try!"
With that, she jabbed it towards him; where the end had opened up, the metal edges looked to be quite pointy, almost like a spear. "Come on, do your best! I need to see what I might be dealing with with Asylum!"

Hatch 08-14-2007 05:16 PM

Flonne looked back to where the two stood.
"Oh my..Miss Martha seems to sure like fighting doesn't she?" She glanced down to Abel and chuckled.
"Was she always like this?"

Laharl had twisted around and barely dodged the blades that Anna shoved in his general direction. He manuvered around to where he was standing in front of Lollie.
"You want to see how Asylum fights? Fine then!!" He hunkered down and shot a fire ball towards Anna's legs. He followed close behind it and initiated a Nightsever.

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 05:39 PM

Abel nodded. "Yep, and I would know... she's my older sister."
He glanced towards her. "She's always loved it. It's part of the reason she wanted to be a pirate. Lots of excitement, and lots of fighting."

Anna looked startled, but caught herself, swinging the axe in quick circles infront of herself. It seemed as if that would double as a shield; a little bit of it still hit her, but not as much of it.
Geez, demons were tough.
She clenched her teeth and gathered as much of her strength as she could in her arms, and rather than dodging Laharl, held the axe right infront of herself and charged towards him, much force backing up the sturdy looking axe.

Hatch 08-14-2007 05:46 PM

"You're sister!?" Flonne looked down and smacked her hands over her mouth afraid that she had been too loud.
"You never told me that."

Laharl wouldn't block, he knew that if he timed it right he could end this. As Anna charged, he slipped his sword into the small space between her grip and her arms, it slid across her cheek as the Axe buried itself into his shoulder.
"Check." He mutterde through clenched teeth.

The Silent Doll 08-14-2007 07:25 PM

Anna grit her teeth; before she could do anything, though, Martha walked up and grabbed both by the head, pushing them away from eachother. "Alright, over. It's getting late. Anna, if something were to happen tomorrow, you need to rest."

Anna sighed, reaching up and wiping the blood off her cheek. It'd actually gotten a slice across it, and apparently she hadn't done much better to him.
Although she did'nt like saying it, she looked at Laharl. "Urgh, you did way better than me..."
She reached over, smacking Martha in the forehead. "THERE'S NO WAY I'LL BE ABLE TO BEAT ASYLUM IF I CAN'T BEAT HIM!!"
Martha looked startled, stumbling back a little. "Argh, if you've gotta hit someone, whack him or somethin'! Sheesh, I did'nt do anything..."

Abel sighed. "I figured she'd break it up soon, it's getting late, anyway. Oh, and... yes, that she is. I'm sorry, I thought I'd told you..."
He looked towards Martha. "I thought she was dead... but I guess... she's not. I'm glad. She's grown up alot, though."

(Sorry, I keep having to edit, I keep forgetting to turn off my signature XD; )

Hatch 08-15-2007 05:37 PM

((What for? Well besides the fact that I'm easily distracted by it XD))

Laharl stared at Anna, did she take that sparring match that seriously? He gripped the end of the axe and pulled it free with a grunt.
"You know...the whole point of that wasn't to see if we could kill each other." Innes came forward and began to heal his wounds as he went on.
"All it was supposed to do is get your mind off that damn spider." He flexed his shoulder and grimaced. It was going to be sore in the morning he was sure of that.
"So stop worrying so damn much, you're not alone in this fight." He looked out over the darkening sea and slid his sword back into it's sheathe.

"Well, looks like that's the end of it then. I hope Laharl didn't hurt Anna too much. She looks like she's in a lot of pain." Flonne looked down at the Prinny.
"Were you and your sister realy close growing up?"

The Silent Doll 08-15-2007 06:33 PM

(XD That, and that I know it's a peeve among some roleplayers, especially with animated signatures? I did'nt know if it was with you so I kept editing it out.

That and I too could stare at it for hours; you should see the actual whole opening sequence to that anime, it's kind of hypnotizing...)

Anna glared at Laharl. "Of course I'm taking it seriously... I might not be alone in it, but... bah. You're a demon. I'm a human. I don't know how well I'll do against her or if I've even got a chance..."

Martha bent down, looking at Anna's cheek. "Kiddo, you okay?"
"I'm fine... I've had much worse happen before.", Anna sighed. "I'm gonna go to my room... I need to get the axe cleaned up, anyway."
Martha stood back up, glaring. "Oh, and, uh, make sure you get some sleep. You have that nasty habit of staying up way too late."
Anna looked irritated. "Yeah, yeah. What are you, anyway, my Mom?"
"I might as well be, since you can't even cook anything.", Martha spouted, shoving Anna in the shoulder slightly. "Make sure you clean that wound up, too. Last thing I need is for you to get your face infected, god forbid..."
Anna looked ticked off by now, almost running past Laharl in order to get away from Martha, who was grinning, obviously happy with that reaction. She watched as Anna quickly went inside, Demitri close behind, as always.
"Geez, that girl's more like a boy than she is anything else."

Martha stood there for a moment, before looking down at Laharl. "She'll be calmed down later. She's got alot going on with her so, don't get too irritated with her when she gets mad, alright? I can promise you..."
She raised an eyebrow. "That you irritate her as badly as she does you. I know you irritate me. Don't ever call me 'Busty' again, okay? I've got a name."

Abel nodded. "Oh, yes. Martha was my best friend. But people picked on her alot. She was alot like Anna, before. Hated getting picked on or have any feminine sort of qualities related to her, and I guess she still is like that, looking at that outfit of hers. She always came off as really rough so no one would call her girly or anything, just like Anna does. I guess that's why Martha likes her so much."

Hatch 08-16-2007 02:20 PM

Laharl smiled as she walked away flexing his shoulder.
You've got a chance...hell more than a chance... He smirked, but he'd never tell her that.

"I'll be irratated with her if she keeps this attitude up. 'Oh I've not gotta chance, I'm going to let everyone down.'" He mocked Anna's voice as he swivled around in dispair.
"The dead can't change a thing Lady, and if she meets Asylum with that mindset she won't be able to either!" He quirked an eyebrow.
"Well if you've got a name I haven't heard it."

Flonne smiled.
"It must be nice having such a close family." She watched Laharl and Martha as she leaned back against the side. Flonne didn't have any family, not that she could remember, but the Seraph took care of her...and she was starting to like Etna and Laharl's company.
"I wonder if that's the same thing?" She muttered.
((Sorry it's taking me so long but I'm also in class :P))

The Silent Doll 08-16-2007 02:36 PM

(Oh, that's fine! Don't worry, I understand.)

Martha sighed, rolling her eyes. "I'm Martha. And, kid..."
Martha leaned down, glaring. "Don't go trying to preach to me, I've only got Anna's best interests in mind. Basically, you nag me too much, I'll beat you up, okay?"

Abel looked a little embarassed, watching Martha. "That proves my point exactly. Either way, yes... but don't get me wrong. I haven't seen her in a long while."

Anna walked back to her room, sighing and shutting the door behind her as Demitri slipped in. She plopped down on the bed... speaking of Demitri...
"Hey, I'm sorry to ask you to do something but would you clean this axe off for me?"
Demitri's head perked up. "Of course. What about your cheek?"
"It's fine. Martha fussed over it but I don't think it'll be a problem... besides, I'm tired. I'm going to sleep."
"Yeah, alright.", sighed Demitri, picking up the axe.
