WARPED - Part 1.1

WARNING: Lotsa drugs, swearing, and sexual content. Do not read if you are weak at heart or at stomach. This is another one of my old stories.

Not very long ago, there lived a charming young girl with flowing, golden hair and a disarming smile. She never lacked friends, and her teachers adored her cleverness. The world she lived in was one of bliss. That world was shattered when she entered high school. Shoved into a new environment, she was unable to find a kind face. Instead of being greeted by friends, she was greeted with fists and the wet insides of toilets. Both her self-confidence and grades dropped with the corners of her mouth. Self-loathing was the world she knew, until her 16th year. It was then that she met a girl much like herself, a girl with raven hair. This is where our tale begins.

“’ey Spider!” Raven called from the gloom of the city. Spider looked up from her magazine, rubbing her kohl-lined eyes. “What izzit?” Her comrade smirked back at the broken girl with golden hair. “I’ve got some shit to have fun with.” Spider threw her magazine aside haphazardly, the pages opening up to a makeup article starring an airbrushed brunette. Raven threw a backwards glance at the magazine and snorted, her nose ring vibrating. “Cosmo Girl?” She crushed the magazine beneath her combat boots. Spider shrugged her shoulders and spat, a faint green glob landing inches away from Raven’s boots. “Anyways, Miss Spider-pansy-ass, I got some X today. Bon Appetit.” She shook out several blisters of ecstasy from her jacket. Each pill was a different color, hinting at the vibrant world awaiting them on their trip. Spider chose the one with the blue smurf. Raven threw a bottle of water at her friend. “You spent money on an Evian?” “Of course not. I stole it.” Spider snickered. She wished she could match up to Raven. Ultimately, she was still stuck in her goody-goody ways. Frustrated, she grabbed two more tablets. Raven looked at her carefully. “Ya know what yer doing there, Spider? Even I wouldn’t take that much at once.” She seemed mildly impressed. Spider smiled. Maybe she had finally earned a bit of respect.

WARPED - Part 1.2

Raven squatted in the dingy alley, surrounded by urban decay. Spider was nervous, as she was still a newbie at these kinds of things. But what did she have to lose? Spider popped the blisters open and shook the pills down her throat, blasting away the bitter taste with the stolen Evian. Raven followed suit. A few minutes passed. Spider felt no change whatsoever. Were the drugs fake? She was about to yell at Raven when she spotted a dwarf in a white jogging suit. Every few seconds he twitched, which wouldn’t have been so odd if he wasn’t also running and constantly looking at his Rolex. He was carrying a poor excuse for a backpack, which Spider suspected to be full of drugs. Spider had the sudden urge to run after him, to solicit him for his goods. She turned around to try to convince Raven to go with her, but she was gone. She mentally shrugged, and followed the dwarf in hot pursuit. “White man! Hey, white man! Wait up!” He paid no attention to her and kept running. “White man!” She drove her boots into the street as fast as she could. She managed to catch up to his white form, and pulled on his sleeve. “Where are you going in such a hurry?” she jokes. “Running away from the cops or something?” The man turned around, sizing her up with his bloodshot eyes. “I’m busy. And unless you wanna buy something, get the hell outta my face.” He twitched and checked his watch again. Spider didn’t say anything. She didn’t have a penny to her name. “Okay kid, if ya ain’t gonna be buying anything, step off.” He resumed running. Spider remained motionless, the wind blowing cigarettes and empty cola cans around her until she came up with an idea on how to obtain the contents of the backpack. She picked up again. “Yo white man! Slow down!” She followed him through the empty city. It was under a bridge that Spider finally lost him. She stared into the pitch black, halted by a sense of foreboding.
