Your wedding day will be like what?
I was sitting here at work a bit bored and wondering what I might get some people talking about n_n And then I thought of what has been on my mind a lot lately. My wedding day. I am going to be getting married on August 25th in a little town called Epinay just 6 miles from the Eiffel tower. I am an American and so none of my family is going to be there for the event. But his family is going to pay for th reception and everything.
We are going to have the ceremony at the town hall there and then just have a nice big dinner with all this family and friends that can come. And so I was just wondering what you've always envisioned your wedding day to be like. What would you be wearing, what colors, what things to eat, where, everything n_n So hit me with it! |
I can't really imagine a wedding day for myself. I would like to think though, that it would just be small, just the two of us, with no-one else there. I wouldn't want one of those really huge weddings with everyone coming and a ton of people you don't know being lugged along with them, so those sorts of things are definitely out of the question. I'd just rather not have anyone there at all, and possibly to get married in a gazebo (nice white one, really ornate), by a huge lake or possibly a medium-sized river (one where you can see the other side of the river, but only just). That's about it.

My first wedding was one of those big kinds. But it wasn't really my choosing. My mom kinda took over and made it the fantasy wedding she never got which I think just added to the downfall of my first marriage u_u |

Well, I'm only 17 but I do hope I will get married one day. <3 ..I dont know if that will happen though...... But if so, I would want to get married outside! And I would like for it to only be me and the one i'd marry. I dont think I could marry with alot of people around and all...it's to much.. ._. But I'd want to get married outside and maybe do what my aunt did, go Jamaica or some other place to marry. I'd pick an island to though, but of course it'd have to be some place we both liked. ^_^ And...I dont know what i'd want to wear, but something not to fancy but pretty, and light blue! ~^^~ |

Oooo, I really want a big, huge white dress, like painfully white! And white rose decorations, with an outdoor ceremony.
I'd like it to be a small one, though, with only the closest friends and relatives. Tradition in Lithuania is inviting anyone that you have asked the time of, ever, so it's usually over 100 people at least, and my uncle's had well over 200. I'd also like rose leafs. It's a small, stupid detail, but I really want them. And I would like a ceremony with a priest, but I'm not religious. So if my husband-to be was a believer, I would accept his religion and we'd have it with all the traditions and so. I'm so sappy and girly about this.. :oops: But I hope your wedding turns out just like you wanted it, except five times better, and that it's just a beginning of a wonderful life together :D |
I've never given it too much thought. I know that I want to be married in a church, with a small and intimate ceremony. But that's about it. The rest will just have to wait until I snag myself a fiance and we can sit down and plan it out together.
But I hhave thought about my dress a little bit. The one thing I know I want is an off the shoulder neckline. Nothing too pouffy or frilly, but some lace wouldn't be out of place. |

idk... Im a guy we dont dream aobut how our wedding is gonna be... thats what girls do... I never heard of a guy who thought about his wedding when he wasnt even close to getting married.

These all sounds like wonderful ideas n_n I love the dress I have for this wedding. I hadn't planned to go all out with a wedding dress again for my 2nd marriage but I went into David's Bridal and there it was on the $99.00 rack in my size and perfect fit! It's beautiful. Way better then my first I think.

Congrats! My wedding day is August 4th, so not too far from now either. My wedding is going to be a masquerade ball theme, similar to Phantom of the Opera. All the guests will get masks to wear at the reception, and I have a beautiful white mask. My groom is going to wear a Phantom mask. And the decorations are going to be candlabras at the head table, with candles at each table, mirrors, and scattered rose petals around the centerpieces.
Even our cake is going to be POTO themed! And my wedding dress is a ballgown corset style. Colors for the wedding theme are dark purple, red, and silver. I am so looking forward to it! |

Of course, I will definitely flaunt some pictures afterwards, hehe. Oh wow, no I haven't been there. If I ever visit Paris though, I will be sure to make a visit there.
Yay for David's Bridal! I got my dress there too over a year ago. They don't even carry the style anymore so I'm glad I got it when I did. |
Right now I'm just trying to figure out the best way for me to transport the dress to france n_n; The mail isn't that reliable, and things get lost if they checked under the plane, and I don't know if a carry on would be big enough u_u

Hmm, to be truthful, I don't really want to have a wedding. I do want to get married someday, but weddings just aren't for me. xD Maybe I'll elope or something.

To be honest, I never planned out my wedding when I was younger. I knew I wanted to be married one day, but I never planned it out. To be honest, I wanted a simple and easy wedding. But then my parents wanted to get involved and throw something nice for me. So...here I am. |
Don't worry, I've got years before I'll be considering my wedding.
It's awesome that your parents can help. I'd be afraid to let my parents give me too much to help with my wedding. |

I've never really liked the idea of getting married as it seems fairly redundant and unnecessary to me, but if I change my mind in the future, I probably would go for a traditional wedding, and do something crazy like...get married at Disney World. xD |
xD All my friends think that I'm too physco to get any man to marry me, and I'd have to agree with them. But if the right guy comes along, I guess it could happen. Not sure.
But if it does happen, I want a dress that won't make me look fat. I'd want my friends and family to be there, although most of my family's in Korea. Maybe my teachers, too. And then there'd be this huuuuge cake I'd eat half of. And funky music. And I'd chat with my friends. And my groom. ANd stuff. xD |
Oooh weddings! I'm probably too wierd to ever have someone stick around long enough for the relationship to progress to that point, but I can always hope for someone as equally odd and unique as myself to suddenly appear out of nowhere and sweep me off my feet x3.
For a dress, I'd go for the traditional white colour, but in some sort of unique, and elegant design. (aka, no frilly lace or bows or flower..things....). It'd be really neat if the bridesmaids dresses were all a dark really saturate colour, in crimson or blue, but with sparkly black twill over the skirt-part of it. I don't want a big wedding, or in a building. I can imagine a little wedding, probably in some form of garden or on a hill, in the autumn, when all the leaves are very pretty colours. Despite that fact that it would be very likely to rain, I'd hope for sunshine or clouds. Oh, and I'd think that the trees would be maple trees, 'cause they have such pretty leaves ^^. So yeah, that about sums up my imaginings of my own wedding. xP |
i dunno. i probably wont have a wedding. the only way i would have one is if my boyfriend wanted one enough. it dosnt matter to me.id rather just live with a person that i love. :D
