I'm glad Aeris is back on the staff after all the hard work she put in. *hugs* You'll get back your title one day, I know it <333

Aeris 07-13-2007 02:32 AM

I'll work hard and maybe someday. ^^ <3

Zweres 07-13-2007 03:03 AM

  • : D Aeris is back.

I say original day because it makes no difference - some may leave days later - and the few day delay gave people to earn gold

Kyonki 07-13-2007 03:18 PM

yay, yay! -does the wave with veen- XD

Aeris 07-14-2007 07:01 PM

Alright, I have decided that the end of the auction will remain the same - for those of you who may have spent your gold, it's okay! You'll get another chance later I promise!

Dreamer 07-14-2007 09:55 PM

ilu.

I feel so happy about this. 3 more days till we get to all see our hard working winners.

I just hope logan doesnt pee himself, if any bids are placed on that Boa. xD

Suteki 07-14-2007 10:19 PM

Ooh, three days left >w< I wonder who will win what o:

Aeris 07-14-2007 10:26 PM

It's exciting! XD <3<3

Next round, I'm going to impliment a new rule that you must bid at least 50g. Also, it will take me a day to process all the auctions, and then on Wednesday I will begin the next one. 8) <3

Suteki 07-14-2007 10:29 PM

Indeed, it is exciting~

And do you mean like, Person A bids 50g on an item, so Person B must bid at least 100g?

And cool. I'll be watching the auctions closely; I enjoy seeing who might win :3

Aeris 07-14-2007 11:32 PM

Yeah that's correct. Updating bids that went up 1g is just tiring, I'm sorry. T_T;;;

Suteki 07-14-2007 11:38 PM

Ah, it's understandable. It's probably very tedious to do such minor changes :3

Seiki Nova 07-14-2007 11:53 PM

Yeah, 1g increments in auctions are always tedious, even in places like Menewsha where gold is far fewer than Gaia or Zantarni. I think the 50g increment is a good idea!~

CLAMP 07-15-2007 01:00 AM

I agree 1g incriments sounds to tedious, but I like the 50g incriment rule.

Flying Wings 07-15-2007 01:10 AM

I like the new rule! n.n

I can't wait for the next auction! >w< There'll be many trying to get lots of gold! ;D

shaggysmule 07-15-2007 02:43 AM

hey aries sorry to be rude or what not but I thin kit was a bit outaline to make logan bid 9k instead of 10k ..

it is an auction meaning that you can biid whatever you want... if you were gonna controll how much someone bids you should just sold the items for that much gold.

Donna 07-15-2007 02:56 AM

  • I'm glad you've set a minimum there Aeris. ^^
    It was annoying going back and forth from the thread everytime somebody posted only a little bit more than the other. ><;
But as we saw with logan, you may want to have a rule about a maximum amount to bid at once as well.
I can see why people would want to bid a lot if they were going away for a while or the auction was nearing the end. But when people already have the highest bid, I find it silly [imo] to bid over 2k more just because they have more gold. As I said, my opinion. But I can see how it would be okay if people weren't going to be able to check the thread often. ><
When we're trying to deflate the cost of these items though, it's not making sense to me why bidding sooo much for them all at once helps any. Why pay more when you can pay less? Anywhoo...that's what I think.
[Gah, excuse me, I'm very inarticulate today.]

@shaggy: I find the last part of your post rather rude. Aeris is trying to deflate these items. Why would she sell them for a certain price when she's giving many people the chance to bid on them fairly? She's not planning a certain price, but she wants it to just lower.

Question:

When it's only 20-10 minutes before the end of the auction, are new bidders allowed to bid?

I would see bid-sniping as rather poor sportsmanship, especially if the bidder who's held the lead has kept the item for so long.

I'd personally be outright furious if I held the item for a week, and when the bidding was coming to a close, that some person who had never bid simply snuck in and stole it from me when I wasn't watching.

Aeris...perhaps you should make a note on this subject?

kin no megami 07-15-2007 06:02 AM

Aeris has already said that sniping is not allowed. <3 (It's listed in the auction rules.)

Seiki Nova 07-15-2007 06:24 AM

I would think that new bidders would not be allowed because it would be sniping, but I believe it's ok if you've been active in the bidding since the beginning or before the last day. Like you've bid before and you were outbid but manage to beat the high bid last minute? Or would that still be considered sniping if you've already been participating? I don't know DX
