I don't think that the new color rule is especially unfair... It's funny to me because I usually post in red, anyway. *shrugs* It makes it easier for the people who don't read the rules, I guess.

@Karla: Yeah, you can.

chelsearose. 12-23-2007 07:21 AM

I don't find the sudden colour change unfair at all. Fact is, you should read the rules carefully for changes every time you enter the auctions no matter how many times you've read them. The rules are there for a reason, so just cause you read them once doesn't mean you don't have to read them ever again. I believe Aeris/Zweres (I dunno who changed it) was trying to weed out people who didn't pay attention to the rules by doing so, and frankly it's no ones fault but your own if you don't read it well enough.

That's just my opinion though lol

Zweres 12-25-2007 01:11 AM

I changed it, and I did it so that people would be careful to actually read the rules, as I've added a rule and its important to read them.

First of all, people managed to get as far as knowing what the theme was. It remained as Christmas Carols for a reason. If you read the rules, its not difficult to spot out because it was in bold, and in caps. If I did it in red, it would be way too obvious. If you look at other peoples' bids, and want to use that as a example, frankly, that defeats the point of rules. So, that is why I changed it, so that people would learn a lesson instead of just skimming to rule 14, and then know the theme, and post it up.

Kon, you can PM me your inventories.

Edit - people did not pay attention to Rule 27. I am debating on what to do, and I'm going to ask Aeris.

Aeschylus 12-25-2007 08:43 PM

Ack, I checked my post twice to see if it followed the rules.

But I forgot the header. Yay for irony.

EDIT: Oh. I see what I have done wrong. I bidded 95 G, but then I realized that each bid had to be 50 G+.

But I knew I could not edit posts. So I reposted my bid to correct it.

Popcorn Gun 12-25-2007 08:59 PM

Aeris doesn't appear to be online, so should I send the screen shots to Zweres?

Foxxi 12-25-2007 09:34 PM

Yeah because he is doing the auctions this time.

Nephila 12-25-2007 11:06 PM

Okay a couple questions for you on this beautiful Christmas day.

When changing items to bid on should I re-post my inventory thumbnail and add the red Christmas carol on top again?

Or are we alowed to simply state I would like to change the item I m bidding on like this?

I would like to change the item I m biding on.

Item: (whatever it is)
Amount: (whatever it is)

Mozzetti 12-25-2007 11:11 PM

NEPHILA || If you've bid before and Zweres has approved your bid, AND you aren't the current HB on any item, you may switch what you were bidding on.

EXAMPLE; You bid 1k on Queens Crown. Zweres "approves" your bid. Someone else bids 1.1k. Since you are no longer the HB on anything, you may switch to whatever you'd like and you don't have to post anything except for the item name and amount you bid since you've already been "approved."

Understand? XDD

Nephila 12-25-2007 11:20 PM

Ok, Thanks Mozzetti

Say if I get out bid by someone not yet approved should I wait until they are to make the switch since I'd still technically be the last bidder?

Mozzetti 12-26-2007 12:24 AM

Yeah, I'd say that would be the best thing to do.

However, I don't see any rule saying that you have to do that. So it's really up to you. But it would definitely be better to wait, so you don't end up having the high bid on two different things. XD

Zweres 12-26-2007 05:18 AM

You should wait, as I am coming down as mean and evil, with the new rules I added. =3 Thank you for answering, Mozzetti. I'm glad you asked Nephila.

Ive looked in the rules but i dont see the baned list...the only list i found was on page 193...i think im blind...anyway someone who was baned made another bid..I thought she was baned but i wasnt sure so i looked all over the front page to find the list but diddnt see it. Heh i was (still am) Tired/half asleep so i made another bid even though i diddnt have to ^^;; and i dont want to confuse the next person who wants to bid on the item so what should i do?

Zweres 12-26-2007 04:02 PM

Titan, I PM'ed her, so its not a problem. Just ignore that bid. Thank you.

titaneatomoe 12-26-2007 06:51 PM

k, but i already made a bid to beet her bid (was tired and not thinking) so would the next person have to bid 650 or would they be able to bid 550? (Im just trying to play fair)

Faye 12-26-2007 11:16 PM

I recently put a bid on a King Crown in Aeris's Giving Back Auction, and I think I did something wrong but I'm not too sure.

I would go look through the FAQ thread about it, but I'm too busy today to look through all the pages because I have to watch my baby sister and cook and stuff while my parents enjoy themselves today. x.x;

I made a bid of 101g than the last person, and then I looked at the rules again to find out the the minimum bid for items, excluding easter items, is 50g and yeah... that's why I'm wondering. Did I break a rule?

EDIT: UGH. Someone already bid higher, but I'd still like to know. x.x;

chelsearose. 12-27-2007 01:15 AM

Faye, You bid 51g more than the bid that was put down before yours, so you were safe there.
However you forgot rule 14, and since you aren't allowed to edit it in, or repost your bid to get around it, Zweres is going to ban you from this weeks auctions.

Make sure you read all the rules really carefully!

titaneatomoe 12-27-2007 04:19 AM

I ment to put 800 in my bid ^^;; I know i cant update my post but is it ok for me to bid agaig since i put the wrong number in?

Faye 12-27-2007 04:52 AM

Ok thanks, I didn't edit though. o.o;

It doesn't say I did either.
Like i didn't see on any of my posts in the thread say:

Last edited by Faye on (WHATEVER DATE) (WHATEVERTIME) am/pm; edited 'X' times in total.

I clicked 'quote' from my last bid to copy my same screen shot because I didn't buy or sell and I don't have any crown of v-day items.

chelsearose. 12-27-2007 05:30 AM

Ah no no :3 I didn't mean that you /did/ edit it.
I'm just saying in the rules, you aren't allowed to edit the bids once you post them, since in your first bid broke the rules (you forgot one of the rules and you can't just edit it in now that you've posted it), and your second bid also broke the rules (You aren't allowed to bid again until Zweres or Aeris accept your first bid), you'll be banned from this weeks round of auctions, and you wont be allowed to win anything until next week.

Just keep in mind if you break a rule one more time you'll be completely banned from these auctions and wont be able to win anything in later auctions, so just be really careful!!!

kuroitsuki 12-28-2007 03:51 AM

Hello! I've got a question. I mistyped the closing tag for the url of my inventory. Instead of typing [/url], I've unconsciously typed [/b]. >_<;;

Silly me... We're not allowed to edit posts, right? Um, will I get disqualified on this week's auction? n_n;;

Karla 12-28-2007 04:48 PM

I have a question on the outbidding.
Just to make sure. :]
Okay.
So let's say I bid 1k on the belt.
And someone else bids 1.1k
And I outbid them to 1.2k
And so on.
Can the highest I ever bid be 2k?
Or can I bid more?
I'm thinking the highest I could go would be 2k.
That's what I got off rule 18.
But I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting it.
XD

nescia 12-28-2007 06:51 PM

Is the V-day hairpin still closed to past V-day winners?

Dystopia was just telling me that it is now open to everyone, but I didn't see the update in the main thread.
I'm just curious.
I don't want to be spreading the wrong information around and I'll start saving for the next auction if I'm elligible for the hairpin.
Thanks again so much for the crown and pendant!
I love them.
<3

Ayla 12-28-2007 09:01 PM

Karla- I believe it's that you can bid past 2k if have the money. However, you just cannot bid more than 1k higher if you already have the high bid.
ex: you bid 1k and no one else bids. You're afriad that you might be outbidded later, so you want to increase your bid. Well, you can but only to 2k at most.
However, if you bid 1k, someone else bids 1.1k then you're welcomed to rebid 2k, 3k, etc. as long as you have the money.

nescia- yeah... I'm confused on that as well. Thank you for asking =D

Karla 12-28-2007 09:57 PM

But it says you can't bid 1k multiple times.
That's the part that is throwing me off.
X.x
So I was thinking you can only bid 1k most, all together.

Examplee:
So if I bid 1k.
And someone out bids me to 1.5k
I can bid 2.1k?

XDDD
Right?

Ayla 12-29-2007 12:00 AM

Karla- yup.

And I think what Aeris meant by the "multiple times" is such that if:
you bid 1k
one day passes,no one bids, but you get nervous, so you raise your bid to 2k
another day passes, no one bids, you get even more nervous thus raise you bid to 3k.

^That's what you can't do. X3 It's ok to raise your bid to 2k in this situation, but you might have to get permission from Aeris/Zweres if you want to increase it more (with no one bidding inbetween)
