Dx Poor doggy! T___T

Just a minute ago, there was a lost doggy scratching on our window..It was so..Cute!! T___T We let it in and give it some food, then my dad took it outside and left it there..Dx I'm so sad..I wanna take that dog and keep it!

Have you ever had some lost animal left on your door?
If yes, what would you do?
Etc. <3

shaggysmule 07-05-2007 01:14 AM

we found at lost cat at our door... my mom wanted to keep it... but guess who takes care of it??

Flying Wings 07-05-2007 01:21 AM

Aww...x___x

Once, a small cat got in my mom's car. o.O

I've never had a lost animal turn up at my home, but if one ever comes up I'll probably put up some Found posters, maybe put a bit in the local paper. I'd look out for Lost posters, too.

If the animal's wearing a collar, though, it's way easier to find the owner. The animal will usually have been registered, for one.

The Lost posters I see around my area are so sad, though. A one-eyed parrot, a three-legged cat... D:

 Aww! Dx Poor kitty cats and parroty..Parrots..D:

  • I always get some stray cats around my area.. I usually take them in and have as a pet until my mom finds something she's annoyed and will take it to the humane society...

But a lost animal.. I'd still take them in and post posters around the neighborhood... putting them outside isn't going to mean they'll find their own way home...

We had a dog wander across the street to our yard twice this spring. He's the cutest thing. The first time he had a collar, but the second time he didn't have one. We're afraid his owners want him to go off and never return, but we sort of returned him none the less.

I don't know what became of him. T.T

One eyed parrot. Poor thing.

My grandma found a baby chick that fell to the ground and the nest was empty. It's parents accidently left it behind.

Back then, I was still really young... so I didn't know how to look stuff up. Even though I knew my grandma took care of the chick wrong, (like food and stuff). I couldn't say anything.

I wish we never picked it up, because it died. I wish we had called an animal specialist or something... And more so, it scarred me into hoping I never meet another stray again.

But thinking back, if we left it out, it couldn't walk and probably would've died slowly instead of choking on the food my grandma fed it wrongly. T_T

  • Yes. <3

One day, this gray kitty came to our front porch. My kitty Tigger was hissing and freaking out. We let the gray kitty come in, washed him up, and fed him. We still have Simba...and it's been like...close to eleven years? D:

The current cat that we have showed up outside our doorstep. We all love her so much. Even my dad likes her -- he hates animals. She was very thin and sickly, we felt sorry for her. So we fed her and we've had her ever since.

The last cat that showed up here died a few days later. You could tell it was really sick just by looking at it, but I had hoped it wouldn't die.

The cat that we had before that also showed up on our doorstep. She got ran over -- we weren't allowed to have indoor pets at the time. She was an awesome cat, too. :(

GASP. That is so sad! I want a puppy.

This onetime there was a cat hanging around our house and I fed it and stuff and my dad said if it didn't leave for three days we could keep it but it turned out to me our next door neighbors. Rofl. I was bummed. But he still comes over to visit and I have a cat of my own now.

  • Awww. We've had cats and dogs come to our door before. Most of the time they just run off though when we go outside. But one time we sat and petted this dog who didn't run away, looking at the collar and called up the owner. ^^

Nariza 07-05-2007 03:36 AM

There was the most adorable little puppy running around in our driveway today. It belongs to the guy across the street though. I think it's name is 'Lil Bit'.

Tuba 07-05-2007 04:14 AM

dont just leave it outside.thats not nice.
if it has a collar, take it to its house.
if it dosnt, take it to the humane socioty.
we find dogs all the time, and we dont just leave them places.
we find where they belong and stuff.

shaggysmule 07-05-2007 04:24 AM

we found a dog a few days ago... but it had a collar so we returned it to the ppl it belonged to.

xXMidnaXx 07-05-2007 04:29 AM

This really chubby and fluffy kitty came to my house once, he was so cute and friendly

I wanted to keep him but we can't have pets in apartment complexes, so we put some food and water outside for him, he had a collar on, so he must've gotten lost. It was in winter last year, it was so cold that night, so I felt bad leaving him outside in the cold, but I had to.

My dad tried taking him home down the street, so I said good-bye to the cat and he was gone. :(

I also had another cat come by my house, just as cute as the other one, but not as fat xD.

I wish I could have a pet... one I can keep for the rest of its life. without having to send it to the Humane society...

There used to be a fat cat in our backyard like everyday. I wanted to keep it but my mom said no.

yanyan13 07-05-2007 05:51 AM

plenty of lost animals here.. and i dunno why it's like that, cuz i think the pound needs to catch them or something.. poor stray animals... XD

Dark_Maiden_Queen 07-05-2007 06:05 AM

Rofl yes I work at a humane society so we get alot dumped at our door if that counts but some of them are so sad looking But we take them in :D And we are a no kill shelter so we keep them alive .. unless they are mean rabid creatures who try to attack everything in sight.

I love animals, my 2 dream jobs are to be either a game designer or a pet doctor. 8)

But I really wanna be a game designer, however, everyone says its a REALLY hard job... :? I don't have the will to operate on animals either...

Just the sight and thought of having to operate on anything is an awful and gross thing. :(

I was going to be a vet but then I found out you have to put down a pet just before you are able to be one >< :nonono:
